"Okay," He glanced down at her drink to see that it was still half full. He felt a little embarrassed that he had asked before she was finished. He really wasn't good at speaking with women. Not at all. "Would you like to sit down then?" He glanced at the hangout spot in the bar. The couples were gone for the most part. There were still a couple making out in the corner but the couch was free. He offered her his free hand and a smile. "And tell me more about you?" He gave a light suggestion. Rylee hesitates yet again, sit down? Why? Finally, she relents, if they were going to spring a trap, they would have done it by now. And there was no way he was that good at faking being drunk. He was truly drunk, and he truly did not remember her. So, with an easy and somewhat real smile, she nods,"Sure. Why not." With her drink in her hand, she lightly places her hand in his hand. "Lead the way." On the topic of telling him about herself, she grimaces,"Er, we shall see."
(No problem. Mine is short as well, eep)

Her hands felt rougher than he anticipated which took him a little off guard. Not by much. Some women had rougher hands from hard work. She could be in a job that made her hands tough like welding or something. So instead, he gave her hand a light gentle squeeze and let her to the couch. He sat down but didn't let go of her hand. Not quite yet. He must be doing something right to still have her a little bit interested in him. Another thing that was different was that he didn't try to make out with her or touch her or anything. He simply wanted to get to know her first. He also felt like it was disrespectful to come onto a woman. Even drunk, he wasn't that type of person. "May I just say, you look beautiful," He used a respectful tone, running his thumb gently against the top of his hand. He kept his grip lose and gentle. He studied her a bit more, and offered another smile,"What does the mystery woman like to do in her free time?"

Rylee fought the urge to pull her hand away as he squeezed it and led her over to a couch. After a second's hesitation, she sits down, though she did not sit close to Silas. She fought the urge, once again, to pull her hand away as he continued to hold it. Be friendly. Perhaps something good would come out of it.... Right? No. Cause a cop would actually want to be with a criminal. When he woke up tomorrow, if he remembered tonight, he would probably hate her guts even more and be even more desperate to capture her and put her behind bars for good.
Rylee blushes slightly, out of the twenty years on the streets, she'd never gotten such a compliment. Well, hell, she'd never gotten any compliment. So, it was nice to hear one. Even if it was from the cop who'd tried to put her in a helping program.
As he smiles, Rylee manages a weak one back. What did she do? Hmm, she was a criminal. She stole things, and she robbed places, and sometimes she even made people fear her. She wasn't going to tell him that. "I suppose just walk around and enjoy nature." Well, that was the truth. She did love nature. Whenever she wasn't doing criminal activity or hiding out. She loved to take walks. Maverick did too, and they would spend hours walking through little forests or on trails.

He had gotten a blush out of her which he viewed as a win. Another sign that he was doing something right. He was really not familiar with flirting or the teasing or love life. Nancy had once been in the picture but that was a long time ago. Or at least it felt like a long time ago. She didn't sit close to him which was okay with him. She seemed reserved and wanting her personal space. Plus he hadn't done anything to fully get her into him. Or at least not in the way the bartender had intended for him to do. "Oh I like nature too. I mostly go for runs though. Sometimes I'll go hiking, it just depends," Lately he hadn't been doing none of that. He had been too busy with work. He took another sip of his drink before setting it down on the coffee table in front of him. It was definitely a bit too strong and he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of the woman.

She had never had anyone flirt with her ever. Most viewed her too disgustingly to do so. This was the first time in a long time she'd been able to actually clean up and come to a place, like a bar, to hang out and have just a little bit of fun. So, the flirting and the compliment was new for her. She didn't know how to flirt back, and she wasn't use to giving compliments, rather she was use to giving insults and threats to get her way.
The physical contact was starting to get to much, so she gently withdraws her hand. She did feel bad, but even with how nice Silas was being, she still really only knew him as a cop. And she never did like physical contact. It felt odd talking to Silas so calmly and normally, like she wasn't the criminal he was after. The one who had escaped jail. The one who had possibly made him look like a fool. She didn't know. She had no idea how they viewed Silas after she had escaped.
"I mainly walk. I use to go with my dog. But... I, uh, lost him." That was true. Well, partly. He had mainly been taken away from her. Which was, of course, mainly her fault. She should have picked a better escape. She watches as he sets his drink down, and a hint of worry flashed through her. If he started to become sober (if that was possible so soon) he would definitely start to remember her. But to hide her nerves, she simply takes another sip of her own drink. Her gaze flickering away briefly.

He wasn't offended when her hand slipped from his. He had been holding it too long. He knew that this woman wasn't in love with him yet. And it was hard to tell if she was even feeling comfortable around him yet. Emotions were so hard to read, well not usually. Now they seemed hard to read. A voice in the back of his mind screamed at him to just take a chance and kiss her but he knew better. Something screamed at him not to through his drunken state so he didn't. "Have you tried that-that," He couldn't remember the name to the animal shelter. He chuckled and tan his hand through his hair,"I'm sorry I can't remember It's the local animal shelter that also trains Buddy." Buddy was his own police dog. He just didn't want to tell this woman that part. He wasn't sure why. "But it's not too far from the edge of town. If anyone has your dog, they would," He smiled again and watched her take another drink of her own. He reached for his again, tempted to take another drink by her doing so to hers. So he ended up taking the last sip of it and setting the glass down carefully. "Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked bluntly after setting it down cIt was the alcohol talking. He broke off with a laugh and added with an eyebrow wiggle,"Or girlfriend?"

An animal shelter, huh? They were keeping Maverick at a police station, probably as bait. No doubt they were hoping she would still come back around for him. Perhaps she would. But hopefully they would give up and move him to an animal shelter that was not well guarded. That would make it easier. And maybe she would move to a whole new area where no one had heard of her. Perhaps it was time to start over, see if maybe she could just turn her whole life around. She was okay with the idea as long as she didn't have to do any program thing to help her get better.
A boyfriend? Hmm. Her eyebrows raise at the girlfriend thing. She wasn't against anyone who liked girls and was a girl. But that just wasn't her style. And she definitely did not have a boyfriend. "Oh, no. No boyfriend. And I don't like girls that way." She tried to make her voice playful, but wasn't sure if she succedded. "What about you?"
(Sorry this is short. I was in kind of a rush)

He had nothing again girls who liked girls, he just wanted to tease this woman a little. Plus, he liked to view himself as being inclusive, maybe that was a little bias being part of the lgbt community himself. He hadn't really dated someone that wasn't a woman. He just hadn't sought out a relationship with others in that manner. He just hadn't had time. And besides, a little secret of his, Nancy was the only person he had ever dated. He was as good with relationships as he was talking to the mystery woman in front of him. "Oh me? No, I don't have a boyfriend," He responded playfully, teasing her about the way she worded the question. Maybe a little light teasing would help him in this situation,"I'm afraid I'm one hundred percent a single man." He paused. "I mean unless a certain somebody wanted to change that," He teased again, studying the woman again. His gaze moved down to her lips and then back up,"I wouldn't mind if she did."
