Black Rose curled up into an uncomfortable slumber as she saw herself at a young age getting driven out from her old home. She remembered how she felt. Angry, sad, confused. She closed her eyes and tried not to remember these memories. She pawed her face and whimpered. She jolted awake after she did that and looked around. She was terrified from her dream and sat up, shaking, and looked at her paws. Tiny specks of blood covered her paws and she knew she had clawed herself in her sleep. She took one look at Chase before running out of his den and ran to her den and curled up. Crying ugly tears.

Chase woke, he heard Rose... Crying? He padded quietly out of the den, making sure not to wake the others. "Rose?" He whispered from outside her den. "Are you okay?" he asked, worried. He picked a rose from the bush and tossed it in at her, "I'm going for a walk. I know you'll catch up, because I'm a slow poke" He chuckled, trying his best to cheer her up. He padded out of camp, heading to the cemetery where he burried his parents.

Black Rose held in her tears as she walked out of her den and picked up the rose in her mouth. She was still crying though now she made no sound as she walked to where Chase was going. She closed her eyes to hide her tears from anyone as she used her other senses to follow Chase. She didn't want to worry anyone when she caught up to Chase. "I'm okay." She mumbled through the rose's stem. Lying was easy to her as she slowed down and smiled. "Don't worry about me. Worry about yourself." She breathed in and smelled her tears and blood that made slight marks on the ground as she walked. Stupid. She told herself. No wonder why you got kicked out. She opened her eyes slowly as she turned around and waited for him since he was slow compared to her.

Chase caught up. He led her deeper into the woods. He hear a waterfall and sped up slightly. He scrambled up to the top of the waterfall, where two headstones lay, they were half sunken in and covered in moss. There were a few flowers at their bases, fresh and smelling so too. Chase had been here just last night, he put the flower Rose gave him on his mother's grave. "This is where my parents are burried" he touched his nose to both of them with a whimper.

Black Rose followed him, jumping up the rocks easily to see the two Graves. "Oh.. I'm so sorry. I didn't know." She lowered her head in shame before walking over to the graves and setting the rose in her mouth on the other grave. She then looked up and walked to him. "Want to talk about it?" She asked as she sat down next to him. "Or.. I can provide some comfort..?" She opened her arms up and waved them in the air slowly.

"A few years back, I lived quite far away. There was a huge forest fire, I was with my family. My sister, mother and father were with me. The den burned down. They told me to leave, I had grabbed my sister and started dragging her, but she died from smoke inhalation. I still carried her body towards the river. I stayed near the river as my home was destroyed around me. I stayed there overnight, I couldn't believe my sister had died, and it felt terrible. My sister was older than I was by a few years, I hardly ever saw her, since she had a family of her own. I went back to the den and found my parents outside, as if they had died when they were escaping. My sister's mate took her body to bury it, and it took me a week to find a sheletered spot to bury my parents. I miss them every day" Chase sniffed, sighing as he looked at his parents graves, "If we had only been in a pack, the would've survived."

Black Rose stepped towards him and rested her head against his. "It'll be okay. You're here now, right?" She smiled. "That's what matters." She nuzzled his head with her nose. "You're safe now. You have a pack and wolves that love and trust you." She smiled again. "You are amazing, never forget that." She moved her head down to touch his chest. "They will live on in your heart. Guiding you wherever they are now. I bet you that they are watching over us right now." She laughed a little. I wonder if they know how I feel about him?

"You don't need to be so overly dramatic" Chase chuckled, "I'm over them" he shrugged, "But what about you? you didn't seem all that well" he reminded her gently.
