He can be too sarcastic and tends to avoid deeper emotions in conversation although he has been known to cry during a sad movie. He can also joke too hard and hurt his friends' feelings, but he is quick, ready, and willing to apologize. He is not the best at thinking before he speaks. He can be impulsive and silly. Appearance He has light brown hair that is cut in a bowl-cut shape. He has green eyes slightly set into his face. He has light skin and his build is a little on the heavier side. He stands at about 5' 9." He is soft and flabby. He has freckles on his round face. His cheeks are smooth and round and he has no beard. His nose is not sharp and the bridge is slightly raised but also flatter than the average caucasian. His nostrils flare and spread out. He has thick hands, a thick torso, and thick limbs. She's very sweet and kind, as well as stubborn and determined. More often than not, she'll avoid facing stressful situations. She finds herself having to apologize often for being overly sensitive. She tries not to take things to heart, but with such a heart of gold it is hard. Appearance Pitch black hair that falls to the middle of her back in soft waves, greyish blue siren like eyes encased by long, dark lashes, and pale skin with a splash of freckles across her nose. She is slender and somewhat lean with thicker thighs and wide hips. Isla is rather short with a heart shaped face, high cheek bones, a button nose, and plump, rosy lips. She has a few tattoos on her arms consisting of flowers.

Basil inhaled deeply as he opened the glass door to Espresso Yourself, a coffee shop which displayed customer's artwork they could do there while they enjoyed their time at the coffee shop. He headed directly to the cash register. "I'd like a black cup of coffee and a cinnamon bun." "Of course sir, anything else I can get for you?" the person at the register asked. "I could do with a cup of water as well now that I think about it. Could you give me some art supplies while I am here?" He took the crayons, colored pencils, paper, and coffee while he was waiting for his cinnamon bun. He worked on a quick sketch of the people working behind the counter and had to stop when someone brought out his cinnamon bun. "Mmm. Sweet. Thanks!" He watched the steam float off the top gently and inhaled deeply. He ate and drank his refreshment slowly. He looked up and noticed a familiar frame enter the door way. She was not a large person and he had not seen her in a long time. What was she doing in one of his most frequented coffee shops? He got up and headed toward her. "Isla! I haven't seen you in forever. How are you doing? What have you been up to? What are you doing here?" He listened intently and gestured around. "Isn't this such a cool place? They let you express yourself on their walls and they have good coffee and little treats." He waved his mostly eaten cinnamon bun as an example. "I hope you'll stay awhile and get something. I've been doing college. I'm so close to graduating. I can't wait! Although I don't know what I want to do for the rest of my life. Hopefully, I can figure that out," he snorted. |
