Name: Ashton Age: 19 Gender: Male Personality: Ashton can be a very proud person and will gladly boast about whatever he wants to. Whether it’s claiming to steal the hardest crown to steal or fending off 10 bandits just to steal from a noble carriage, he’ll boast about it. Despite being quite the story weaver, he doesn’t let anyone know more about him then what he wants them to know and that’s typically the stories of his more extreme heists. He’s almost like a phantom, only staying in one village, town or city long enough to steal what he’s after before disappearing like a ghost. The stories of his more memorable heists aren’t necessarily unheard of, so when he comes across a group of kids talking about him and comparing him to people like Robin Hood it tends to shock him. Ashton tends to keep more to himself, which allows him to keep people at more of a distance and makes traveling as much as he does easier. No matter what, whether he’s faking things so he can get to his goal or he lets someone close enough to get to know him, Ashton is a charismatic, charming and persuasive guy. He knows this as well and uses these qualities to his advantage. Ashton is pretty street smart, knowing ins and outs of places, best places to hide, how to spot shady merchants, knowing the guards thinking at least with rotations and security related things, the usual things you would expect. He’s pretty level headed no matter what the situation is or how off script things get in his carefully planned plans. Because of the bounties put on his head, Ashton is pretty careful and cautious wherever he goes to the point where he can get a little jumpy. Due to the years he’s spent living the thief life, he’s become a pretty good liar and hiding his intentions. This makes him almost unpredictable. He could be acting like a good buddy with a guard one second and the next, turning in a tip that says that that guard was fraternizing with a wanted thief. He’s ultimately a good guy once someone is able to get close enough to them. Appearance: Ashton has a lanky yet athletic build that’s been adapted to allow him to be more agile, stealthy, and strong. He’s got dark hair that’s styled similar to Flynn rider's hair if it was a bit fancier. He’s typically seen wearing brown leather pants and either a loose fitting blouse like shirt or a shirt that fits his 6 '0 frame really well. When he’s traveling and stopping at places, he’ll wear a darker green cloak with a hood just in case he needs to disappear or avoid attention. He’s typically always wearing a pair of boots or shoes that have good traction and grip on them. He’s got a fairly fair complexion with different colored eyes. His left eye is brown and the other, blue which leaves him as great eye candy sometimes for the younger women he passes when he goes into populated areas. Fears: -Heights -The Ocean

Charlotte Knox "Lottie" - Age: 18 - Gender: Female - Personality: Princess Charlotte is the very picture of grace and warmth, a gentle soul whose heart seems far too kind for the heavy weight of a crown. She approaches the world with an open spirit and a radiant smile, often choosing to see the good in people even when others caution her otherwise. Charlotte’s compassion runs deep—she’s the kind of princess who listens intently to the troubles of servants, animals, or even the flowers in her garden, believing every life has value. Her presence brings a sense of peace and hope, and her laughter, light and unguarded, has been known to soften even the coldest hearts. But while her sweet nature makes her beloved by many, it also leaves her vulnerable to the harsher realities of palace life and politics, which she sometimes fails to fully grasp. Beneath her soft exterior, however, lies a surprising well of determination. Charlotte may be kind, but she is not a pushover. When pushed too far or when someone she loves is threatened, she reveals a fiery stubbornness that few expect—and fewer can stand against. Her emotions run deep, and so do her grudges. Charlotte doesn’t forgive easily when trust is broken; she holds onto betrayal like a thorn beneath velvet. Her anger, though rarely explosive, simmers with quiet intensity, expressed in cutting remarks and an unmistakable cold shoulder. That said, she isn't cruel—just fiercely principled. If someone offers a sincere apology, especially one that comes with actions to back it up, she’ll slowly begin to let the wall down. Over time, and with true remorse, Charlotte’s heart will soften again. But no one forgets the lesson: while she may be sweet, there’s fire in her blood, and once scorched, she never forgets. - Appearance: Charlotte is short, with a slender yet curvy form. She's healthy and fit, though she's not the strongest person in the world. Shes pretty light on her feet though, making her excellent at sneaking around and excercising that rebellious streak she has. Her hair is pitch black and reaches down to her waist in loose curls, dancing down her back like a waterfall. She is typically seen in soft, light colored dresses ranging from pale blues, to pinks, and to purples and yellows. They reach just past her ankles, barely concealing what are typically bare feet. When not barefoot, she wears simple comfortable flats or occasionally boots. She stands at a petite 5'1", making her appear deceivingly innocent apart from her mischievousness. Her eyes are a striking silvery grey, and the sunlight almost seems to make them glow when it hits them. The princess is indeed quite the pretty face, sought after by many, but achieved by none so far. - Fears: -Dark Nights/Being Alone -Spiders sorry it took so long! Ashton laid on a tree branch, an apple in hand with some spots already eaten as he waited for his target to pass by on the wooded road. It wasn't long till he was done with his apple and heard the sound of hooves hitting the dirt, almost rhythmical, and wooden wheels rattling behind. He stood up and stretched a bit before looking over his shoulder. He checked that the horse he planned on using for his escape was where he left it before looking back towards the carriage that was now in view. He waited and when the carriage was right underneath him, he jumped and landed on the top. He used the railing-like design on the top to stabilize himself a bit before using them to hop down and onto the side of the carriage. He hung there, feet on the side, crouched a bit and his right arm holding onto the railing on the top before he reached over for the carriage door. With a quick movement, he opened the door and moved over to the steps and rail by the door. “Ok. You know the drill. Valuables in the bag. Jewels, jewelry, coins and the like.” He said as he pulled out a sack from somewhere at his waist. He watched with a satisfied grin as the panicked nobles quickly understood what was happening and what they were supposed to do. The nobles quickly placed anything of value that they had on them, into the bag. When they were done, Ashton checked the bag to see if there was as much as he expected. He quickly noticed how full it was and let out an impressive sounding whistle before closing up the bag. “Pleasure doing business with ya’ll” Ashton said before hopping off the carriage, rolling a bit in the dirt with his body around the bag. When he came to a stop, he stood up and dusted off his pants before grabbing the bag and heading towards his horse. When he reached the black horse, he grabbed his cloak and put it on, getting it settled just right. after that, he tied the bag onto its saddle before swinging his leg over the saddle. He grabbed the reins up in his hands and steered the horse around in a direction away from where the carriage was heading. When he was satisfied with the direction they were pointing, he urged the horse into a gallop. He knew there was a village or town somewhere on this direction so it would be a good enough place to rest up and get the horse under him some rest. He didn't plan on staying long, maybe two or three days max. Barely long enough for him to make a memorable impression on the place.

Right outside the lively little village closest to her kingdom, Lottie resided in a brightly flowered meadow, humming happily to herself as she picked the blooms, placing them into a basket to take back with her to the castle. She had managed to escape her guards again, though it wasn't as if she needed them anyways. Nothing ever happened and the majority of all people in the village knew who she was, so she was just as safe without them as she was with. At least, that's what she always believed. Either way, it was easier to breathe without the men always staring down her neck. Not to mention, they would have never let her venture outside of the village, even if she was just on the outskirts. They were too paranoid of something happening or that she'd run away for whatever reason, but that simply was not the case. She was happy with her life, even if she often enjoyed the simpler side of things rather than royal luxuries. Simple life was so peaceful, with no ridiculous duties to uphold such as learning ballroom dance or how to play piano. She didn't have to worry about courting men her parents thought she might like. She could just be herself.
Deciding she had enough flowers for her later plans, Lottie stood to her feet and dusted off the fabric of her soft blue gown. She didn't much look like a princess, with no jewels or decoration defining her as royalty, but that was part of keeping her safe as well. If there were any outsiders with ill intent, they wouldn't know who she was based off of looks alone. The only thing of value she even had was a gold hair stick with small gems, which currently held back some of her long hair from her face. Lottie closed her basket and walked back out to the road to head for the town, savoring the warm air on her skin and the grass beneath her bare feet. She could hear a horse coming down the path, but she didn't think too much of it. People passed through all of the time, so as long as she was out of the way of the incomer, she didn't see a reason to pay much attention.

The horse quickly emerged from the woods and made its way down a dirt road that led to the town. As they went down the road, Ashton didn't notice the girl walking until it was almost too late. “Watch out!” He shouted as he pulled on the horses reins and did everything he could think of in the moment to slow the horse down until the horse did finally stop, rearing, kicking its front legs, and neighing. Ashton fell off the saddle, landing behind the black horse with a oof and letting out a groan. He slowly sat up, rubbing the back of his head before glaring at the horse. After a moment, Ashton stood up and dusted his pants to get rid of any and all dust and dirt on them. He sighed before walking in front of the horse and calming it down enough as he grabbed for the reigns. He checked the horse, not so much for its well being, to see if his well earned bag of treasures was fine and still attached fine. When he was done looking over the horse, he turned towards the girl and was clearly annoyed by her. “What the hell were you thinking? You could have been killed! There's no way you couldn't hear the horse coming full speed either.” He said, pinching his nose bridge. Ashton was fully aware that he sounded annoyed and was probably yelling at the girl for a simple mistake. To him it seemed almost common sense to be aware of your surroundings especially if you're on a road. “Last thing I need is a murder charge added to my already long enough list of crimes.” He mumbled to himself. He looked back up at the girl, sounding calmer this time as he spoke. “What were you even doing out here?” He adjusted himself a bit so a good portion of his weight was on his right leg when he noticed something in the girls hair. He didn't let his eyes stay on it for longer then a second, just long enough to notice it was a hairpin with some jewels on it. “Probably worth a lot.” He thought to himself.

Much to her surprise, the horse she had heard was approaching much faster than she'd anticipated. When she had initially heard the beast approaching, she couldn't tell how fast it was going, but when she heard yelling and turned around to face whom ever it was, it was safe to say she was shocked at what she saw. Sure, she heard it moving fast, but not that fast! Lottie was like a deer frozen in the eyes of a predator, her heart suddenly racing as her legs seemed to fill with lead. It wasn't until the creature was reared up and much too close for comfort that she scrambled back, nearly tripping and falling into the grass. She steadied herself, heart still pounding with shock. It took her a second to remember that there had been a human atop that steed, but when she remembered, she was quick to step closer, eyes wide with worry. What if he was hurt?! It would be her fault! Except, before Lottie could even open her mouth to speak, the man was yelling at her, chastising her for being in the way. She flinched, her cheeks turning a striking pink with embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry.. You didn't seem to be paying much mind either..." she pointed out gently, glancing away as she composed her rattled nerves. After all, it wasn't a teeny tiny road, and she'd only been on a small portion of it. How was she supposed to know he wouldn't be looking out for traffic either? She did understand his irritation, however, as it could have been quite the accident if he hadn't of stopped in time. She could hear him muttering something, but she didn't quite catch the words, nor was she sure she even wanted to. He was rather angry, and she didn't enjoy being the source of his ire. When he spoke again, Lottie looked at the man and gestured to her woven basket. "I was picking flowers and herbs. They grow more freely here rather than in the village," she told him, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. Her gaze softened as she looked him up and down, a hint of concern playing across her features. "What of you? You were off in quite the hurry.. You didn't get injured in your fall did you?" She asked, stepping a little closer to observe him better. If she'd been at fault for injuring the man, then she'd be sure to see him better. Edited at June 12, 2025 04:52 PM by Enchantress

“I'm fine. Just some dust and dirt is all.” He said, sounding even more calmer now as more of his frustration faded. He noticed a flower that could have fallen out of her basket, laying on the road. He leaned down and picked it up before placing it back in the basket. “I think you dropped something…” Ashton took a breath before speaking again, thinking he might as well seem like a good human being. “I'm guessing you're ok then? The horse didn't clip you by accident or take 10 years off your life?” He adjusted himself a little, starting to feel slightly awkward. What was he doing staying here when the nobles he robbed probably would have reported him to officials already? “I actually need to get going. I’ve got someone in town I'm meeting. You can come with me and then we split when we reach the town. Ya know, to prevent you from being almost run over again.” He spoke, deciding to add one of his most charming smiles to his face. His mind kept drifting to the hairpin. Ashton thought it was a little odd for someone who lived in a town to be wearing such an extravagant looking hairpin. He hadn't ever known anyone unless they were noble. He knew he was probably already in trouble with the nobles he had robbed but at the same time, what's a little more money lining his pockets going to do?

Lottie nodded, satisfied with his answer. He seemed like a strong man, so he was probably durable enough to withstand a fall or two on the behalf of a woman. She hummed curiously as he bent down, only to smile when he had picked up a fallen flower before returning it to her basket. "Oh, thank you very much," she spoke gently, adjusting the basket on her arm. It was a surprise that she didn't lose more than the one flower, but then again, she hadn't exactly moved very strenuously, even when she was getting out of the way. Hearing his question, she couldn't help but to allow a laugh to bubble out, her smile brightening as she shook her head. "I'm alright, I promise you," she assured him, thankful for his concern, whether it was genuine or not. Had it not been for that handsome, charming smile, Lottie might have been more hesitant to take his offer in going with him, but she knew she could handle herself well enough. He didn't seem to have any ill-will against her anyways. "Alright, I suppose that would be nice. No sense in giving more than one person a heart attack in one day, hmm?" She agreed, also knowing that not getting ran over would be beneficial as well. It was still likely anyways, considering that road was often busy. As she awaited getting ready to go, a thought came to mind. "Oh! Will you and your friend be around for the festivities? The palace puts on a festival every year around this time, and it just so happens this is the first night," she explained, wondering if there was even a chance she'd see this new.. acquaintance again. If she could even call him that.

He thought about it for a moment, contemplating how much of a good alibi it could give him. After a bit he made up his mind. “I might. My friend has to leave right after I meet him. I’m not too sure how welcomed I’d be at the festivities. Where are they?” He said, sounding pretty convincing. He didn’t actually have a friend he was meeting. He didn’t trust people enough to let them get that close to him, especially with business. Before they left, Ashton made it seem like he realized something in that moment. “What am I doing? A pretty lady like you shouldn’t have to walk, especially if we want to avoid you getting run over.” He chuckled a bit, the same charming smile staying on his face as he spoke. “Why don’t you ride up on…” His voice trailed off, making it seem like he forgot the horse’s name even though he never really named it. “Why don’t you ride up on Storm here. I promise Storm isn’t at all like how you first met him. He’s a lot more gentle, the biggest softie you’ve ever met. He’s just not used to being stopped as suddenly as he was.” He gave the horse some pets on the forehead and patted his neck to prove it. “Safest steed you’ve ever met if you ignore me getting thrown off.” The horse just tossed his head a bit, causing Ashton to have to calm him down a bit.
