Laika dips her head, great they now had two of the pups named. Igneous and Tlaloc. Now for the girls. Laika follows Ferox's gaze to one of the females. This one looked very much like Laika, with hints of Terra Lupi colors on her. "Aska." Laika repeats, before nodding. "That fits her perfectly." That left the final pup, the other girl. Laika tips her head, studying her final unnamed pup. She looked every inch of her father, not a speck of Laika on her. "This one... We could name her Calla." Came the murmur.
(All is good! My week has been busy as well)

Ferox studied the final pup, noting her strong resemblance to him with a little smile, then he looked back up at Laika and nodded. "It's a good name, I like it," he said. "Calla, Aska, Tlaloc, and Igneous... perfect names for such perfect pups." Ferox's gaze wandered back down to the little ones, and his smile grew. He wished he could come closer, but he didn't want to alarm Laika, so he kept his distance. After a silent moment, he looked back at Laika and asked, "After this is all over, what do we do? I don't want to be apart from you or the pups any longer."

Laika's tail wags slightly, but not to much, careful not to wake her pups. Laika's eyes flash to Ferox's at his question. She has no answer. So, she allows her gaze to roam her pack as she thinks. What do they do? She loved her pack, and she knew Ferox loved his. She loved Ferox and her pups more, but leaving her pack to join his? Or him leaving his to join hers? Would either of their packs accept that? Would either be okay with that. "I don't want to be apart from you either.... But-" Laika returns her gaze to Ferox,"I don't know what we will do."

Ferox watches Laika as she thinks, and at her answer, he gives a soft sigh and shakes his head. "I don't know either," he says softly. Loyalty to their packs, or loyalty to their family? It wasn't a fair predicament. If Ferox wasn't the Alpha of the Terra Lupi pack, the choice woudn't have been so hard, but here they both were. Ferox sighed once more, looking down at his paws, thinking and worrying. Finally, wanting to encourage Laika and not have her be stressing over this, he looked up and gave her a small smile. "Don't worry, we'll figure it out once this is all over," he said gently.

Laika sighs, what were they going to do? In all of her life, she never thought she would ever have to make a choice like this. Of course, she had never thought that she would have taken a wolf from another pack as her mate. She had never expected to fall in love with Ferox, and she hadn't even expected to be named Alpha of the fierce Ignis Pack. Laika agrees,"We will." They had to figure it out. For their packs, for their pups, for each other, and for themselves.

Ferox sat silently for a moment, watching the pups with a worried expression on his face. Such a complicated and uncertain situation... But they would figure it out. Glancing up toward the sky, Ferox noticed for the first time that the sun was beginning to set, casting a warm golden glow across the land as it sank toward the horizon. Ferox got to his paws and dipped his head in Laika's direction. "I had best get back to my pack," he said. "I am glad that I got to meet out pups though."

Laika's gaze moved from her pups to Ferox, before to her pack. Much of who were resting, though a few were blatantly staring at the two, the disapproval clear in their eyes. Laika then lets her gaze drift to where the rest of her pack was keeping watch on the wall. Though she was quick to snap her attention back to Ferox as he got up. Laika dips her head back, watching as he leaves.

Ferox made his way back to where his pack was staying, keeping silent. None of his wolves said anything either, and they avoided his gaze. At least they aren't trying to kill me, he thinks. He pauses for a moment, then decides to join the wolves on the walls. An extra pair of eyes never hurt. He carefully made his way up and chose a spot where fewer wolves were standing, and from there stared outward, watching for anything.

Laika looks up as her sister approaches her,"Ember." Ember blinks at her,"You look deep in thought." Laika agrees,"I am. I am thinking of the future, and what it means for me." Ember's eyes drop to the pups at Laika's stomach,"And them?" Laika agrees,"And them." Ember murmurs,"Have you figured it out?" Laika shakes her head,"I have not." Suddenly a low howl rings through the make-shift camp. Laika's head comes up, her ears pricked, as she scans the surroundings. One of Ari's wolves was standing alert at the wall. The howl had been from one of the Akvo Lupi. Ember nudges Laika gently,"Go, I will watch the pups."
Laika reluctantly got to her feet, touching her nose to her pups before allowing Ember to lay down in her spot. As soon as the Alpha knew her pups were settled again, she takes off, her paws thumping against the ground. As she approaches the wall, she launches herself upward, landing on it. Her eyes scanning the undergrowth as Ari soon arrives beside her.
