Black Rose heard parts of what he said. "Not going" and "sister" was most of it. She smiled a little. "Well, tell your sister to bug off and leave you alone before I have to send my brother to go over there and knock some sense into her." She said quietly, feeling both annoyed and angry.

Black Rose looked at him and nodded slowly. Understanding some of his words was difficult for her but she trusted him. "I wish you luck, Chase. Please stay safe." She whispered to him as she saw him curl up and sleep. She, meanwhile, stayed up to keep watch over Chase while he slept.

Chase felt sleep drift over him, he allowed it. He dove deeper into his thoughts and thought of his sister. It's not my time, he reminded himself, It's not my time. He was standing in a moonlit clearing. Alone. No one was there. He called and no one answered but his own echo. Chase's heart began to pound and he began to panic. Impulsively, he called for Rose.
