Hikaru Mochizuki

•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••

Mentions: Rouge (ind.)

A tall man was waiting at the airport entrance, his eyes scanning the faces of the people walking by, checking for his cousin, that should be arriving soon. As usual, the people walked past the man like he wasn't there, only staring at him when they bumped into him by mistake. Still, he remained in place, with his hands tucked into his black leather jacket. He was nervous as can be with this many people, but he remained in place to avoid accidentally missing the woman. His colorless hair dangled loosely over his shoulders and his waist. He would tie his hair up to keep it from going all over the place, but he didn't bother as he believed this would be a quick assignment.

Hikaru didn't expect this many people, let alone wait for what seemed eternally for the woman. He couldn't help but furrow his brows while his lips thin in displeasure. He doesn't understand this world and its involvement with technology. He wasn't used to them, and Rouge tried to teach him, but such attempts resulted in bitter failure. It resulted in many crushed phones and him not forming a singular sentence that made sense. At this point, they both gave up, mainly Rouge, who muttered something in her cultural language that he didn't understand before handing him a less complicated phone.

He has the phone on him now, yet it collects dust in his pants pockets. Speaking of the device, he felt it vibrate in his front pocket, and he pulls it out carefully. Unsure that it was an explosive device that Rouge gifted him before she left for her 90th vacation for the year. His fingers trail the side buttons for the power button to turn on the screen, struggling to find it for a couple of seconds-turning up the volume buttons of the various audio options on his device, with annoying beeping sounds in different volumes piercing his ears. Finally, the screen flashes to the lock screen display, and he puts in the password that Rouge helped him set up: 0000. It was simple but easier for the vampire.

Inputting those four numbers, the phone shifted to the homepage, where a text bubble popped up at the top of the screen.

───────────────

I'm waiting at the gift shop.
Delivered

───────────────

Hikaru tapped on the notification, which took him to the messages between him and Rouge. His eyes surveyed their old conversations, with her sending paragraphs of words, random tiny faces she addressed as emojis, and images that the people this generation called memes. And how does he respond to these posts? Using words such as okay, no, and maybe in response to the woman's tiresome, never-ending conversations.

His legs carried him inside the tall building, swiftly dodging the mass of people. The man slips his phone back into his pocket. Hikaru headed toward the direction of the gift shop where his cousin was in. He peeked into the gift shop window and thoroughly observed the people in the shop. After a few seconds, he recognized the red hair from afar and stormed inside. Hikaru approaches the red-haired woman from behind, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. It caused her to jump and whip around, her eyes full of anger and angst.

"By the fangs, dude!" Her loud words caused a few people to turn and face them to see the commotion. His eyes shift to the floor, radiating distress at the sudden eyes on the two of them. Rouge, for once, felt guilty that she made her cousin uncomfortable, so she tried to lighten the mood. "Should I put a bell collar on you?" Her lips coiled into a mischievous smile, Hikaru's eyes on hers, and he blinked a few times in confusion. "A. . .bell...collar?" His voice was soft-spoken, mindful of his words, not wanting to offend Rouge. "Yes, but sadly, they're selling none here." She chuckles, covering her lips with her fingers, "You'll look stunning as a cat. You already have the adorable and not-so-cuddly personality." Hearing the comparison, his eyes widen in bliss. His mind starts to wander, imagining himself a fluffy white cat with similar colored eyes.

Unbeknownst to him, a soft smile formed, "Yes. I would make a great cat." Now that he was calm, Rouge left the giftshop with Hikaru tailing behind her, with him still in his zone. The two quietly stroll toward the entryway while Rouge tows her luggage. Gradually he returns to his senses, leaning forward to lower himself beside his cousin's ear. "How's your trip?" Rouge tilts her head in his direction to pick up his quiet words, and she grins in response to his question. "It was lovely. The lovely spas and they give the best massages. My skin has never felt more alive. Eyecatching scenery and delightful wine for me to consume. You know," she turns her eyes to look at his face, "you can always tag along." Hearing the offer, the man shook his head, declining her offer. "Still not used to this wonderous technology, huh? It's fine. Guess I have to get you while you're asleep."

She laughs at her joke, and he frowns in displeasure. He was quiet again; however, he wasn't too upset. "Anyway, how did you even get here?" Without verbally communicating, he points to a black motorcycle with a sidecar. "Well, at least you know how to drive a motorbike." She gives him an encouraging smile, offering him a thumbs up. They approached the motorbike, with Rouge shoving her suitcase into the sidecar. "It's a somewhat common thing in Japan." He grows quiet, climbing onto the motorcycle, then Rouge hops on behind him.

Tori O'Connor

Werewolf - Pack Member - Mentions: Calloway, Ming, Frankie

Tori kept still as her eyes watched the pale man in front of her grip her hand and release some of the buttons from his shirt before he pulled his hand from hers and rested it against the frame of the door. Concern flitted through the female's eyes once more as she watched him, noticing how pale and sickly the male looked. His scent was also different than most humans but she pushed the concern to the back of her mind when she heard Frankie walk up behind her.

She turned her attention to her friend and offered a shrug. "I think once we can get some food into him, it will help, though I worry about how pale he is." The soft irish accent dancing with her words as she turned her attention to him once more.

Her eyes moved over to the male that was still behind the seat and she stood placing a hand on Calloway's before she spoke. "Maybe since it was such a scene earlier, I can head back inside and order the food." Her eyes moved back over to Frankie and she paused for a moment remembering that this had all started as a simple trip to get snacks for a video night.

Her nose scrunched as she thought and a small sigh left her. "Frankie, do you want to head back to the house and let everyone know I might be late? I don't feel quite right leaving this guy alone and that also gives enough time for the drinks I had to work out of my system a little more so that I can drive back on my bike safely."

She offered a warm smile. "Or I could just bug Carson to give me a ride back since he is working late tonight. Either way, you and I both know I would kick myself if I don't see this through. Might be what gets me in trouble one of these days but...gotta live life a little on the edge right?"

Her tone was teasing but her words held truth. She wasn't one to just walk away if someone was needing help. Granted it caused her to get into a few scuffles that she shouldn't have been in but she couldn't walk away. Maybe it was a way that she was using to redeem herself after what had happened, but only she truly knew why she was helping.

Raven | F | Beta | M: Simon, Mosi, Briar(ind)
Raven had managed to gather a few boxes of popcorn and a few bits of the candy before Simon joined them. She gave a small smile as he picked up a box of Cheez-its. Her hands were a bit full to get anything else but she had everything she needed. For now. She placed her bundle onto the registers before snagging a Sprite from the shelf. Caffeine should keep her awake. At least through half of the movie. She watched Simon and Mosi go around the store finding what they wanted before Simon started back towards the registers.

At the mention of Briar, she looked over at him, half hoping he hadn't said anything about the loner. She knew he would have though. Something like that wouldn't have just slipped their minds. She sighed, looking back towards the door before heading that direction. She paused at the front of the register before turning back, giving a half smirk to Simon. If she didn't act like she was okay, he would know something was up. He reminded her of Carson which could be annoying but also a good trait. "While you pay for the sweet treats, I'm going to see what they have next door. Call me when your ready to leave." She said with a playful tone before heading outside.

She immediately turned to the store next door. It seemed to be a merchandise shop which was alright. If her calculations were correct, which most of the time when it came to timers it wasn't, it would take five minutes for Simon to get out of the store. Since she didn't trust time in itself, and that she had left her watch at home, she would take only a minute. The manager seemed to be very helpful though, and directed her to the gloves. She sighed, picking up some black gloves before picking up some dark red ones as well.

She paid for them at the register before leaving the store. Outside, it was crisp and she relaxed as she leaned on Simon's car. Raven wasn't sure if she should run home, her shoulder was aching a bit more than it had inside. And if she took the car ride home, she wasn't sure if she could stay awake. Shaking her head, she decided to wait on Simon and Mosi. She would have to just ride back home, she didn't want another run in with that loner anyway.

Wēndù Shoi-Ming
Loner | Vampire | Looks 24 (Actually Nearing 400) | Mentions: Calloway , Tori, & Elle (indirect)

The male looked in sympathy as the other struggled with himself. It probably wasn't best to do this, but he needed to get out of there before he did something he regretted even more. And Shoi-Ming was certainly positive he was a fledgling. " Damn kids." He muttered under his breath. What type of sire leaves their spawn like this, and he was sighing exhausted, he had come to relax and now he was stressed the fuck out. He was looking through the car for a moment, surely he had some blood packs around here? He wouldn't be that foolish to go around without some on him? And that's when he realized: is he rejecting or scared of being a vampire. That was the only logical explanation, and that's when he took a deep wiff to catch all the scents and that's when he smelled blood and ash. Oh shit, he had killed recently, and that must be why he was like this, it didn't go well. And then he smelled silver and his senses heightened at that. "Oh shit," he whispered, "oh fucking hell." And he was running his fingers through his hair, he didn't have any meds or items to take care of silver wounds, especially since they were old, and possibly getting infected.

Thats when a voice caught his attention, it was that of a woman. She was pretty in his opinion, and he had to give a polite smile at her offer, and he said, " I don't think it's best for him to go back in. I don't think he's in the best state of mind, but I do agree that he needs food in his system. I offered to drive him home or take him to the diner down the street, " and he pointed where the diner lights were still on a couple blocks down, " but he refused. And I was trying to figure out the best course of action. So any help offered would be amazing."

He sighed a bit saying, " I know I was a big harsh on that bartender but she obviously wasn't into her job. I heard her mutter something about 'Since when did Ikaris get a boyfriend', whatever the hell that's supposed to mean, and her furiously texting when on duty and her overall attitude." He said with annoyance, " I don't care if it's a small town bar or a big one : there are laws. Imagine if he drove home, he surely would've gotten himself hurt, and it would've been on her ; period. She would've gotten a lawsuit for negligence and other charges added. " he sounded frustrated and annoyed and he tapped the wheel, " Sorry, I'm a bit tense at the moment. I came to destress and now I'm more stressed than before. But I couldn't stand to see her do that to him, and others using his behavior to their advantage for free drinks, that's disgusting."

He watched carefully the male and woman interact. Shoi-Ming usually didn't give a rat's ass about fledglings, but this was different and if anything he looked like a mother fawning over a hurt child with the worried expressions on his face. And he decided to get out the car and go on the other side to see him properly. And he had to see the way he leaned on the metal, and he frowned a bit. That was odd, and that's when he reached his hand out slowly and gently, " I'm just trying to read your temperature, it's okay. I mean no harm. " he said trying to soothe his nerves a bit as he slowly placed his hand on his face and felt the warmness of it. " My goodness, you're burning up. " he said softly and sighed gently, " I'm going to need you to breath . Take deep breaths for me. " and he demonstrated, taking an inhale and exhale himself. He knew how to work through panic attacks and such because he's had them plenty a times.

Once he did that he patiently waited for him to calm down before he said, " Can you tell me these following things : five things you hear, four things you can see, three things you can feel, two things you can smell, and one think you can smell. And take your time, there is no rush, this is just to make sure you're responsive. And this has helped me calm down when I'm having a panic attack." He said calmly and soothingly, in an even tone, one showing experience and empathy.

" You getting him some food would be much appreciated and could you get some water as well, he'll need it. Thank you so much." He said genuinely to Tori. And he gave a small sigh as he looked at the man, " I'll stay here and watch him. Nothing will happen to him on my watch." A sense of protectiveness flooding through him.

༺ Mosi Kana′tĭ ༻
Scout • 24 Female • M: Simon, Raven, Tori, Frankie, Calloway, Ming
Mosi wondered from isle to isle a tune being whistled under her breath. Picking up a package of Oreos stuffing them into her basket. In her basket she already had a few packages of twizzlers and a tube of mini m&ms knowing Frankie loved them. Next she snagged her favorite snack of all. Chocolate covered pretzels. Mosi would give her left arm for some chocolate covered pretzels.

Flashing a smile towards Raven as she passed her and Simon in an isle. Glad both her and Simon where okay. That event in the car could have been way more catastrophic than it was and everyone involved could have been severely injured. Heading towards the back wall for coffee creamer as they had just ran out. Grabbing a large case of water while she was in the cooler. They regularly needed to stock the water fridge in the pack gym.

Mosi casually swung the large pack of water bottles onto her shoulder as if it where a mere purse. The elderly man in the cooler next to her looked at her with shock and very nervously grabbed a gallon of milk and walked quickly away from her. Mo grinned amused as she took her items up to the counter where Simon waited paying. They both carried the groceries to the car where Raven stood waiting for them. Noting as she put the items in the car that Frankie was now outside the bar with Tori. "Hey guys I'm gonna head home with Frankie I'll meet you back at the house. Maybe I'll figure out what's going on over at the bar." Praying to the gods Frankie's car actually made it home.
Holding up a hand to pause the car on the street as she jogged across it. Ending the distance between her Tori and Frankie. When she got closer Mosi greeted them. "What you both needed liquid courage to handle the movie Briar may or may not be picking?" All the while she spoke she took in the scene before her with an intelligent gaze. Her obsidian colored eyes landing on the two males in the car. Something smelt off about them. One reeked of fear and panic. "Everything alright over here?"

Briar Solanine Tinuviel

The Beta Male | Male | Mentions: Ikaris, Angela

The male had paused momentarily when Angela began showing her undying support and he was quite frankly glad to have a friend like her. And he honestly wanted to cry and thank her for being a rock when Ikaris voice caught his attention. He noted the smug look and lean on the doorway, since when was he like that? It was kind of . . . hot? It was unusual for their alpha to be like that, he was a sweetheart (most of the time anyway) but then again he could be a little shit when provoked. And he felt his face heat up at the question, and he was thoroughly embarrassed. He had heard him? Oh Selene, take him to the moon now. " Uh- w-well you see, ahem, uh, maybe-" he had been floundering out rather unintelligibly, for the first time , verbally stunned by someone and it was quite a sight. Him being reduced to a stuttering mess at a simple comment, goddess help him now. The stone-cold beta, melting for their alpha? What a cliché but one well welcomed. And he was thinking of how idiotic he probably looked right now, but what happened next shocked him.

He didn't expect a kiss, and so soon for that matter. Shock was clearly written on his face as he had let out a surprised mphm at the action. It was a soft kiss that they had done earlier, this one was full of passion and desire from Ikaris, and he swore on the stars if he hadn't had a kiss that good in a while. Not to mention because of his boyfriend being taller, he had to lean back on the nearby couch because he had expected that. But the sound of his friends happy giggles and departing footsteps caused his blush to raise. And he gave a playful scowl at the male and a teasing grin.

"Damn, Val. With that kiss it almost seems like you wanted to take me to bed. " he said teasingly as he wrapped his arms around the neck of the male, holding eye contact with him, his gaze flirtatious and relaxed. Hell, this was probably the first time in a while he was this so goddamned stressed about something or relaxed. He had even sat on the couch side to get better access to his boyfriend.

He leaned closer and gave Ikaris a kiss matching his. One full of passion and love, it was as if promising more. He just loved the way it made him feel and the thought of being with Ikaris elated him to his core. And he cupped his face and peppered him with small kisses again, and just lazily hugged him for affection. This all seemed unreal, he finally had a boyfriend who loved affection as much as he did and needed and craved it. "So needy love, if you just wanted some kisses, all you needed to do was ask. " he said teasingly, not out of condensation or mockery, but of love and sincerity, and to affirm this he planted a soft kiss on his lips and let it linger for a minute before giving him a soft smile. It was a smile reserved for those he absolutely cared for and Ikaris was one of them.

" I'm excited for our date tomorrow! Do you want to go early or in the afternoon?" Briar asked Ikaris casually as he looked at the male.

Rouge

•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••

Mentions: N/A

The two parted ways on quiet terms, with Hikaru handling whatever business fell at his feet and Rouge dealing with her issues. The woman's attire was different, as she changed her clothing when she finally arrived home. A red, revealing dress clung tightly to her curvy frame, her chest partially exposed. Her dress was cut at the sides, starting from her hips down to her ankles, exposing the side of her legs. On her feet were a pair of black strapped heels held together by a tiny buckle. Over her shoulders was a fur coat, the color of the pelt pitch-black like that night. The texture of the hair is similar to that of a wolf. Her wrists were decorated with bracelets of gold, with a double-chained necklace dangling around her neck. In both of her ears are golden tassel earrings, swaying gracefully with each angelic movement she makes. As per usual, her lips were covered in her signature red lipstick. This time, it was fresh.

It seems that this woman was prepping herself for a date; still, it'll be a date that won't end with a promised second.

The woman's heels clicked sharply on the tiled floors as she stormed through the seemingly neverending hallway. Her arms wrapped against her chest, her hands gripping and using the fur cloak to conceal her exposed features. Rouge's eyes were rancorous as she stared ahead the corridor while her body was stiff. It was bizarre, as her eyes were radiating increasing convulsion. The woman scoffed when she spotted the familiar black one-panel door at the end of the hall. Her eyes shifted to the silver handle as if expecting someone to step out at any second. Rouge's posture promptly swapped, forcing her body to soften and her hardened gaze to slacken. It was like her turbulent spirit vanished entirely, but that wasn't the case, as the woman was only masking it.

She doesn't want to alert her soon-to-be prey, after all.

Without waiting for a second, Rouge pushed the handle, entering the room with cautious steps. The room appears to be an office of sorts, with a man taller than her sitting in his office chair. His expression wasn't welcoming, his eyelids narrowing with hostility in her direction. The area was deathly quiet, yet the tension was growing thick to the point it was suffocating. Her eyes faltered while her pupils expanded in those burning auric of hers. Similar to that of a predator stalking its prey. The woman shuts the door behind her, offering the man a charming smile-the smile holding a false sense of tenderness. "It's nice to see you again, Mr. Cain." Her legs moved as she strode in his direction, her crimson dress carelessly exposing them. "Did you miss me so?" Her tone bearing trenchancy when she spoke to the sitting man, the grip of her hand becomes tighter with her fingers pulling the fur.

The last thing the man saw was the woman's devious grin as his life was snatched away by her hands.

•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••

Mentions: Brair (ind.)

The woman has settled on the desk that once belonged to the man. Her legs crossed together, her foot calmly swaying at a steady pace. Rouge's hands were clean, which is surprising considering the state of the office. She listened intently as hurried footsteps came her way. They sounded rather heavy, and she could've sworn that she heard one barking orders. The vampire only smiled, already knowing who it could be. Still, she remained calm, but it didn't cease the glimmer of mischief in her eyes. The door was kicked in, and in came men covered head to toe in bulletproof armor. She raises her hands, giving a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders. She carelessly waved to the deceased man in the chair. "You guys arrived too late. Honestly," her smile only grew as she remarked to the group currently filling the room, "I should get a promotion and another vacation. Don't you think?"

One of them stepped up to her, but his face was covered with a dark-tinted visor on his helmet. "Did you find the documents as she instructed?" Rouge scoffed when the face-covered person didn't join in on the jesting, but she remained composed when speaking with the person. "The documents are safely hidden away," giving the desk a few pats on the surface, "in this desk. I made sure not to get blood on them. Tell your boss not to worry." The masked stranger nodded his head before making hand gestures. Two other masked fellows jog over to the desk, opening each drawer to extract many folders and papers. Without saying another word, she removes herself from the desk, smoothing out her dress. Oddly, she could feel a pair of eyes watching her, making her turn her head to the supposed person.

It was the same person she spoke with, a smile plastering her face. "Yes?" She could tell he was observing the fur over her shoulders, and to notify him that she noticed his gaze, Rouge glided her fingers through the hair. "That fur. Don't tell me-" "-Yes," she cuts him off, her smile turning into a sadistic smirk, "it's his oldest son." She tilted his head when she took notice of his stance reformed. She could feel his nerves radiating, the small addition of disgust. Rouge had little shame about what she did, as these people deserved what was coming to them.

You may believe she did it out of spite against werewolves, except that was far off. She has no hatred for the wolf shifters, but it wouldn't stop her from killing them if they either annoy her enough or they've done something horrendous to someone innocent. Rouge isn't biased over who she kills-she won't hesitate to kill her species if the situation desires it. Ah, the thought of those wolf folks made her body swell with glee at the thought of one. She could see herself holding the precious one after weeks of being. No, he deserves a better nickname. One that comes from her heart and has higher quality.

Her mon chou.

Briar.

Her excitement depleted as quickly as it came, her patience running thin suddenly. The thought of not seeing her darling brother as soon as she arrived back in the state made her anger return. Rouge adjusted her head, gazing venomously at the person standing in her way, who dared to speak useless words while she had someone relevant to meet. In her eyes, this whole thing is meaningless and takes up her precious time. Once more, she was livid over something petty. This initiated a twitch of her lips, her finger tapping rapidly against her cloak. "Are you going to keep me here and waste my time further?" Her manner was wretched, her facade gone. Everyone stopped what they were doing, all heads turning to her, waiting to see what they'll do.

The silence between them was loud, the two not bothering to hide their hatred for the other. Finally, after what seemed forever, the masked figure shook their head before turning away. Without delay. Rouge hurried out of the office, bringing her storm clouds out of the office.

•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••

Mentions: Hikaru (dir.) and Brair (ind.)

Rouge was in the driver's seat of her four-door convertible, the coat of her beloved vehicle a glossy wine red, while the windows tinted to a pitch black hue. Sitting in the passenger seat was Hikaru, the fellow vampire seeming out of it, his eyes impassively staring out the front windshield. Nestled in the back and settled on the floor were four large gift bags stuffed to the brim with black and red confetti. Hikaru shifts his head to examine the woman, noticing the all-too-familiar look on her face. "Did you overdo it on the gifts again?" Without loudly responding, Rouge made a simple "Mhm." Hikaru wasn't upset, only curious about how much this woman spent on a singular person. "The total?" Rouge tapped a finger in a poor rhythm, calculating the prices in her head. "Don't know. Somewhere in the thousands. . .maybe more." Her voice drifted off toward the final words of her sentence. Hearing her answer, he could only lower his brows, tempted to pry further on her actions.

"You give gifts to those you love," already knowing what the man was thinking, "but love doesn't always involve romantic intentions. It can be out of friendship or familial reasons." Hikaru steadily nodded his head, taking in her words with interest. Albeit, it was still hard to comprehend. "You don't need to buy expensive gifts as I did. It can be homemade or something cheap that reminds you of them. For example," she grows quiet when trying to formulate a representation, "if someone mentions their favorite thing, like their color, you keep it in your head for a gift idea in the future. You present them with a bundle of flowers, with the petals their adored color." Rouge side-glanced Hikaru, but only briefly before turning away to focus on the road. "Do you understand it now?"

Hikaru turns away from her, using a singular hand to play with a strand of white hair. "To a degree." His words have finally ceased-no more did he inquire further about it. She kept her mouth shut, not wanting to disrupt his internal conversation. He'll understand it whenever his heart longs for someone. Well, that's if it happens. She gets why he asked her such things, and she could've sworn that her undead heart became deader. Rouge knows little of her cousin's history since he rarely discusses it willingly. As such, Rouge nonstopped asked him to reveal a bit about himself, a challenging feat considering Hikaru's persona. When there's a rare moment he wants to share it, Hikaru responds with so little, but each little piece of information has remained constant: he's regretful. This made her wonder. . .what he did he do to make him harbor a grudge for himself.

"Rouge," his deadpan voice called out to her. "Yes?" The car was quiet after she asked, yet she held her tongue to allow him to compose his words. "What am I to you?" His tone has a hardness to it. As if he was dubious about it in the first place. Those questions stung her, like having tons of daggers getting plunged into your back. What did he endure in his past to make him behave this way? Her lips separated as she spoke, "You're my friend and cousin." "Aside from that, I'm not related to you by any means." Hikaru added whereas Rouge shook her head; again, she quickly glanced at Hikaru before looking away, "No. You're not, but you're still family to me, Mochi. You don't have to be related by blood to consider someone your family. I cherish you even though you can be a dispassionate bastard at times." She chuckled, but as always, he didn't laugh.

The other's brows falter, his face returning to its still appearance. "I see." Not long after, Rouge stops her car outside of the bar. None of them said another word. It was clear as the day that the topic was over, especially when Hikaru hopped out of the car after giving her a slight nod in thanks. She watched him through the right window before driving off to meet Brair.

☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽
werewolf ⋆ alpha male ⋆ mentions: Briar

In all honesty, Ikaris had no valid reason for walking up to Briar and kissing him in the manner that he did. The male almost backed out of it, but the moment his lips had touched Briar's, his worry melted away. If he did overstep or do something Briar didn't like, he would've had the beta male giving him a piece of his mind- or so Ikaris liked to think. Ikaris let his hands leave the smaller man's hips, pulling them to cup either side of Briar's face as he pulled away, face flushed crimson once more as he met Briar's grin with his own. Gods, how had he been so damn lucky to get someone as stunning as the beta? Ikaris still found it hard to believe that it was real, all of it.

Before he could respond to Briar, Ikaris bit down on his tongue and forced himself to repeat Briar's words in his head. If he didn't stop himself, he would've skipped no beats and responded instantaneously, and he would've said something along the lines of 'Would you be mad if I said yes?'. Perhaps he would've said something short and sweet, but still confirming Briar's words. Instead, Ikaris shrugged as he grinned, "Val, huh?" Ikaris couldn't remember ever being called that before. Maybe he had forgotten in the midst of his mind running a mile a minute as it processed what he had just done. He hadn't acted like this in a long time, not even when he dated that dumb blonde.

It was Ikaris' turn to be shocked. He should've figured that Briar would kiss him back, but he couldn't help but feel shocked as his lips met with Briar's again. This kiss matching the passion and love that were just in the kiss before this. That made Ikaris smile. If he could stay like this forever, he would. Was life dating Briar going to be like this all the time? It had to be. Ikaris couldn't imagine life being anything but a bliss, a pure dream, with Briar in it. When the kiss ended, Ikaris held back the pout that his mind impulsively wanted him to do, and welcomed Briar's hug by wrapping his own arms around him, returning the hug.,"I know... I just- it was an impulse."

That soft kiss and soft smile was all Ikaris needed to feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. Nothing could make him more genuinely happy than Briar and his smile. Ikaris couldn't help but smile back. His mind too focused on that beautiful smile causing him to nearly miss Briar's words. The date! A nervous laugh escaped the alpha's lips as he looked at Briar with his green hues, "You were serious about the date, huh? Um, what time is better? I know there's going to be a lot of people either way... so I guess whatever time you think would be more convenient?" Part of him wanted to suggest later, for the chance to see the rides lit up as the light in the sky slowly diminishes, but at the same time, if they go through a haunted house... nighttime wouldn't necessarily be ideal; especially if a clown got the jump on him.

Calloway Royce
Lead Vampire || M || Bar Parking Lot || Mentions: Bar Crew
It was all beginning to be too much.
...
The small crowd forming around his car was starting to cause a deeper pit inside of his stomach. While zoned out and in a trance-like state, he could see blurred frames of other women approaching, and their pungent canid scent. They were conversing, yes, but their words didn't quite register. It felt like they were talking several rooms away, not a foot or two beside him. His jaw clenched and glossy gray eyes looked up at their faces, but especially at Tori's. She was like a beacon of safety. After she spoke, his mouth had opened, but no words fell out. He felt like a caged animal to spectate and comment on, rather than a human being; a pinnacle of some twisted primality and self pity.
+
His whole body jolted when his initial saviour, the other man, had brushed his fingers against his forehead. Calloway audiably gasped, but pushed his head forward to rest his palm against the stranger's hand more for a moment or two longer and sobbed quietly, as indicated by his bouncing shoulders.
+
Panic attack, Calloway had heard the other man say.
I deserve it, I deserve it, I deserve it.
+
Ming's voice was distorted for a moment, but Calloway was present enough to follow the other man's breathing exercises. He hadn't realized how badly his lungs had been burning until the cold night's air filled his lungs up fully. The vampire's posture was starting to become a little less shriveled, and his sobbing was starting to ease up some. Weighty tears clung to his light brown lower lashes. He didn't want to get better, he told himself that he wanted to get so drunk that he'd have the courage to walk in front of a train or jump off of a mountainside cliff in the distance tonight. Though, Calloway was not stupid, and knew that he wouldn't be able to get any more alcohol right now with these protectors watching him. It was the reality of it all; of everything in the past and everything now that layered issue on top of issue that clobbered his brain.
+
"I hear...your voice," Calloway had uttered out. His throat was congested by mucus from crying and made his voice crackled and raspy. "The...cars in the parking lot," he added, and glanced around the area. He snorted back and rubbed his wrist over his eyes to smudge some tears away. "I hear the music," he said then, looking towards the bar. The music from indoors was loud enough to echo into the parking lot each time the entrance door opened. "And the people...I hear...my heartbeat," he said quietly. The deep pulsations rang in his ears rapidly. The adrenaline may have been culprit for some of his dizziness.
+
"I can see the cracks in the pavement," Calloway gristly uttered. Thinking of his surroundings was slowly starting to bring him back to it. He was starting to feel like he could breathe again. "And the street lights," he added as he stared at them. His pupils shrank from admiring the yellowy-orange bulbs inside. "I see...the cars...and I see you," he said slowly, the words puffing past his lips shakily, but more firmly with each moment. He swallowed hard. It was difficult moving past his feelings right now. Everything in his mind was screaming no.
+
"I feel the seat...and the door frame," he paused, and lifted a hand over his heart for a moment. Its thudding was less rapid, but still frantic. Calloway's squared jaw tensed for a second, but blinked away his thoughts. "My shirt," he said quietly. His thumb and index finger rolled some of the torn neckline in between his fingertips.
+
His nostrils widened to inhale in order to answer the man, but his lips parted afterwards. "I smell blood," he uttered out quietly, and stared with heavy eyes past the little crowd that had formed around his car. His pupils enlarged when they targeted a young woman who was exiting the bar. She was standing outside of the passenger seat, waiting for her currently absent partner to unlock the door. His dry tongue swiped across the elongated teeth in his mouth. He had started to stand up in the doorway of his passenger seat, and grabbed the door and the roof with either hand to help him stabilize. It was too soon, and he swayed quite a bit on his feet, but he was upright. His pale fingers dug into the metalic frame of the car, staring at the lone woman only three spots to their right with hunger in his eyes. "I smell you," he said quietly, his eyes staring into her own. His face had sobered up some, but his body still was rebellious. He tried to take a step towards her, but he stumbled and caught himself in time with both hands on his door frame. His predator instincts honed in on the carotid artery in her neck.

Amaris | 16 | F | Werewolf | Loner | M: Open
Amaris thanked the bus driver before getting out and standing on the side of the road. She had been on the road for a long while, looking for her uncle. She still couldn't believe her dad was gone. All he had been going to do was find a pack that had his bestie in it and then he would come back for her. He had promised too. But, she wouldn't know if his promise was just words or not. He said he wouldn't leave her and he did. He said he would be back and he wasn't. She never really saw much of him anyway.

Amaris shook her head before heading into the hotel. She checked in before going up to her room, slipping inside. The only thing she got from her dad was the money left behind. And a fang necklace. The fangs were those she had lost. Her mother. Her two siblings. And now her father. She hoped she wouldn't have to put anymore on it. Her foster mom had taught her how to keep the necklace hidden when she was in human form and to let it out in wolf form. The little control that she had though.

Currently, she wore her mother's pendant necklace. The amethyst crystal was her mother's birth month and her own birth month. One of the only things she had left of her mother. Amaris sighed, sitting down on the bed before unpacking a few things. She pulled her legs close to her chest. She had been looking for her uncle and now she was in his town. This was also where they said her half aunt was but Amaris didn't quite care for her. If it was her that had gotten her father killed, then she didn't want to find her. Besides, she would be better off with her uncle. If she could find him.

Her phone buzzed and she pulled it out to scroll through the news. She liked to keep up with it, there was always something good in the posts. Sure enough, as always, one post caught her attention. Carnival. She absolutely loved going through the rides but it had been so long since she had been to one. She couldn't remember which ones she loved or not. Well, you know what? Let's try them all. She thought, smiling to herself. It had been a while since she had some fun. Sighing contentedly, she put her phone away before snuggling under the covers. Before she knew it, she was fast asleep.
