Scruff | Denizen | Mentions: Bog, Hop, Aspen, Warren Scruff looked at Bog as he questioned him. "I am certain that these berries are safe." He said as he sniffed the berries Bog placed at his feet. The berries were round and a deep blue, they sure did look like the berries he ate long ago. Scruff knew they were blueberries, and they were definitely safe to eat or Scruff would not be here today.

Hop & Bog / Patrollers / Mentions: Scruff, Aspen, Frost
Bog looked down longingly at the sweet blueberries, wrestling against the tempation to scarf them all down himself. But Aspen was no doubt telling Frost where the bushes were already. He could eat after more had been brought back.
"Should we help gather berries?" Hop asked his brother, just as hungry. "We've only got one hauler."
Bog turned and headed for Frost and Aspen. There wasn't enough room in the burrow anyway, he might as well be moving. Edited at August 30, 2022 07:15 PM by Weeds

Moon|1.3|Hauler|M: Frost, Hop, Bog, Leaper, Aspen Moon watched as the weather grew worse, wondering when the patrollers would arrive back at the warren. Then, a few moments later, the patrollers and the leader returned and Bog was carrying a twig with a few berries on it. She tried listening to what they were too far away and the wind only made it worse. Then, a familiar voice echoed in her ears. She turned to face the buck. "I'm not sure. I'd hate to leave rope berries out there though. Who knows when those pesky birds will find the bush." She replied, almost yelling. She wanted to get the berries but knew the weather could worsen as they were out. The doe looked at all the rabbits around, hungry and cold. Moon felt guilt pile in her stomach, knowing that she could do something about the hunger. She looked back at Leaper, wondering what Frost would say to them. She looked away, hopping off under a tree a little bit away from the others, shaking her fur as she darted under it. The doe watched the others, wondering how the burrow was coming along.

Frost | Warchief | Mentions: Aspen, Bog The effect of the mud spattering Aspen's fur impressed, rather than discomfited, Frost. It was clear that she had not shied away from hard work, and that was something which Frost could always respect. The news that she had gathered pleased the buck as well, and he nodded along as she spoke. Frost's eyes flicked to Bog as the latter approached, and he pitched his words so that both rabbits could hear him. "That's good; you've done well. How close to the warren are the berries, and was there any sign of predators?"
Leaper | Warclaw | Mentions: Moon, Open! Leaper nodded. "Yeah, hopefully we'll get to them before they do. It'll be nice to get to see more of the territory!" As the buck spoke, his eyes lit up at the thought of roaming through the undergrowth and pines. The great black-tipped ears perked merrily. Leaper met Moon's eyes when she looked at him, though his heart sank when she hopped away. Deciding to be proactive, the buck hopped slightly closer to the others, perking his ears and trying to look ready.

"Not so much as a sniff or scrap of fur, Warchief." Bog replied, ears flattened against the wind and rain. He wasn't sure if anyone would be sent out in this weather or if they would all go hungry a little longer. "The berries are in a clearing in the hilly larch forests to the north."
One of them would no doubt have to lead the hauler and perhaps the warclaw or another volunteer, but who took that task wasn't up to Bog.

Scruff | Denizen | Mentions: Open! Scruff looked over to the den space that had already been dug out. 'Small but it will do for now' Scruff thought to himself before hopping away towards a small shrub to try and shelter from the harsh weather. Scruff wondered if Frost would send out a group to retrieve the berries that the patrollers had discovered. The young male curled up under the shrub and flattened his ears against the wind. The rain and wind made it hard to stay warm. Scruff layed his head on the soft dirt and sighed.

Aspen. Patrol leader. Rival. Mentions Bog Frost "Right... And even if there were predators this would still be a good place for food later" she stated glancing at the sun "we should probaly gather the food before the birds come... And the predators ..." "Will you need us to help fetch the berries?" Bog offered neutrally. The storm would be unpleasant regardless of where he was during it, and at least the wind and rain meant he didn't need to worry as much about hawks and eagles.
Hop was fruitlessly trying to groom his soaked and muddy hair, rubbing his face with his cold, tired paws. He didn't exactly want to go trooping through the rain some more, but he disliked the thought of staying behind, too. He would only worry about his brother until he saw him again. Frost | Warchief | Mentions: Bog, Aspen Frost's forepaws scuffled a little bit at Aspen's words. "Well, I'm glad there aren't any predators - thank you, Bog." It didn't sound like the berries were too far away; maybe even close enough for what he had in mind. "I don't think it'll be necessary to organise a haul, especially before the predators arrive. I'm going to tell everyone that, at least at present, it should be safe to go visit the berries ourselves. I would like it if one of you could show us where they are, though."
