Raven Samara | Beta Female | Ravik Pack | M: Ikaris, Mosi, Briar, Simon(ind) Raven leaned back on the an old oak tree taking in the air as she paused in punching. She sighed, wrapping her hands up before heading towards the clearing again. The day had gone by too fast. She had spent most of the day training. Always training nowadays. She wouldn't let herself dwell on the past. Not after what happened.
Getting to the small hidden clearing, she packed away her supplies before putting the backpack on and slinging her bow over one arm. She needed a run. Shifting into her wolf form, she growled at the slight pain. She shook out her black fur before lunging forward, dashing into the woods at breakneck speed. Dodging the trees and the the logs felt good, she could feel the wind whipping through her fur. She made it back to the cabin in a few minutes time, the clearing hadn't been that far away. Shifting as she went to the shed, she hung up the bow and pulled the quiver of arrows out of her backpack. Putting the last of her gear away, she paused as her eyes came to rest on a silver ring at the bottom of the backpack.
Sure, it had been a while since she used the pack but how did that get in there? She thought he had it with him when he had... she shook that thought out of her head before picking it up. She sat down cross-legged on the floor of the shed, running her thumb over the carved initals that was the only engravement on the ring. NC&RS. Tears formed in her eyes momentarily as she remembered the saying they had always said when they left each other. Forever together, right? I'll be back someday. Raven rubbed her eyes, taking off her necklace before threading the ring so it was against her other one. Too many. She had lost too many.
Her phone vibrated, pulling her out of her thoughts. She put her necklace back on, hiding it under her t-shirt. Another text came through and she pulled out her phone this time. A smile played on her lips at Simon's text and Briar's response. Yep, never interrupt Briar's beauty sleep. A car pulled up and Raven peeked out to see Ikaris going inside. How perfect, alpha was home. Early.
Sighing, she put the backpack into a corner before heading out back. If he was headed to the kitchen, she could probably sneak through the back door and to the stairs without him noticing. Especially if he had been drinking last night. She didn't look like a mess except for her hands. She didn't need the pack asking why her hands were so bloody. Or why she had been punching a tree to begin with. She slipped inside before spotting her gloves ontop of a clothes basket. Ah, that's right, she had washed them last night. She grabbed them off the pile before slipping into one of the downstairs bathrooms.
Quickly washing her hands off and wincing at the pain, she dried them before bandaging them up. After the bandages were good around her palms, she slipped the gloves out before going back out towards the kitchen. And of course, Raven managed to land in the ending of the conversation. While Briar went on about something or another, Raven breathed in the scent and tried not to gag. Smoke. Alcohol. Her. She held back a sigh before catching the last of Briar's barage. Raven rolled her eyes, her mask that hid her pain falling back into place. "I'm guessing someone didn't get their beauty sleep?" Raven said, playfully punching him gently in the shoulder.
"And Ikaris, you need a shower. Smoking never brings a pleasant scent around." Raven said, looking pointedly at her alpha. She wouldn't give him a complete lecture on it, she was pretty sure Briar just did. Plus, she was most likely going to try to avoid the pack tomorrow including her alpha. She turned away from them as her eyes clouded up. One of the reasons she trained most of the day was because it was his anniversary tomorrow. And she would be going to a place where not many knew where it was. Quickly masking her sadness as she knew that the males would pick up on it if she didn't, she turned back around before asking the harmless question, "What's for dinner?"

☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽ werewolf ⋆ alpha male ⋆ mentions: Briar, Raven, Simon [indirectly]
You know she's right. She always has been.
Blinking away the water that began to rise in his eyes, Ikaris took a deep breath. Part of him wanted to laugh at himself for being so bothered by her appearance last night. As much as he tried to stop thinking about it, he couldn't, and he was incapable of thinking she was a horrible person despite everything she did. Part of him wanted to believe that she was just hurt, taking her emotions out on him. Elle had been so kind when they first started dating; but people change.
Pulled from his thoughts, Ikaris looked over at Briar, one eyebrow raising at the question he asked. Briar knew the answer already, but it'd be rude to not give him an answer, "I drank last night, smoked half a cigarette twenty minutes ago." Shrugging he used one hand to pick up his glass of orange juice, raising it to his lips to take a drink of the sweet and tangy liquid. Before he could set the glass down, something caught him off guard. He slowly set the glass down on the counter beside him and relaxed the muscles that had tensed in his shoulders.
The alpha's gaze dropped to his hand, which was now being held in Briar's hands. His touch was much gentler than the woman's touch- but it still sent a spike of fear up his back, making his hand tremble ever so slightly. Stop. It's not her, it's Briar. After listening to the beta's rant about Elle, Ikaris shook his head, "It's fine, I'm fine." It was a lie of course. His mind was scrambled, fighting to decide if she was back to simply live her life, or if she was back to bother him. If his brain could split in half from being pulled in both the direction of logic and his emotions, it'd be ripped by now.
"I can handle her if she bothers me. She doesn't deserve to be murdered, alright?" Ikaris didn't expect him to believe anything he said, but he wished it. It was hard to admit that she was rooted deep under his skin, that it was so incredibly easy to get lost in her warm smile and satin voice and how it was so easy to fall back into his old habits, listening to what she says and doing what she tells him to do. He was like a puppy. No matter what wrong she did to him, he'd find a way to forgive her and see her as anything bad good.
Last night wasn't even that bad. She got caught up on his life, caught him up on hers, and she gave him some drinks on the house. She danced on the threshold of the line of comfortability; grabbing his hand, touching his hair, lifting his face up to make eye contact when he shied away from her. Everything she did before he had gotten drunk was relatively harmless. The other things- the things he couldn't fully remember, were things he'd rather drown in more alcohol and pain. A good fight could do it for him, or perhaps going to the track near the local high school would. Kari sometimes ran until he could no longer breathe. He rather enjoyed the breathlessness, the burning sensation in his chest as he fought for a breath of air. It damn near felt like he'd pass out, maybe eventually he would.
The sound of another pack member entering the kitchen caught his attention, Raven. Her comment about him needing to take a shower caused a small smirk to tug at the corners of his lips, "Yeah, yeah. I'll shower after my run." Gently removing his hand from Briar's grasp, Ikaris crossed his arms, "If no one has a plan to cook anything, I'll order some take-out."
Pulling his phone from his back pocket, Kari unlocked it and quietly read the messages before stuffing it away. If more messages came through of the pack agreeing to hang out, then he supposed he could skip out on his plans for the night and bottle things up until the next day. He didn't want to be the only one skipping out on it, the pack deserved some quality time together anyways. Edited at October 28, 2022 02:47 PM by Tynahi

Tori O'Connor Werewolf - Pack Member - Mentions: Ikaris, Briar, Raven, Mosi, Simon (ind) The messages played through the female's earbuds, pausing the music that she had been listening to. A couple of the messages caused the female to sigh but she kept her hands on the handles of her motorcycle as she answered the initial message. *I am always down to hangout. Sent at 6:14 pm* The music began once more in the female's ears as she turned down the driveway to the pack's home. An eyebrow raised seeing Ikaris' car parked as it wasn't a usual sight for her to see when she was arriving home most days. Granted today they had had to involve the local police at the bank because a customer had grown so irate over a simple request that Tori had moved the tellers to a back room to calm down. She put the bike in park and put the kickstand down as her feet rested on the ground before she removed her helmet from her head. A couple of curls bounced free from the helmet framing her face while the other mass of curls were pulled back into a ponytail. Tori had changed into her driving clothes at the office and instead of a nice pencil skirt and blouse, she was wearing sneakers, jeans, and a t-shirt under the leather jacket. Tori was smart enough to know not to wear her nicer clothing while riding her bike. She climbed off of the bike with the backpack holding her professional clothing and put her helmet under her arm. As she headed into the pack house. Normally she would have been home closer to an hour earlier but well today was a late day. She stepped into the main door catching the end of Ikaris speaking while she set her helmet and bag down on the couch before moving over to the kitchen slipping her hands into her pockets. A smile rested on her face as she stepped in looking between everyone in the kitchen. "Well the party has arrived." She teased though an eyebrow raised when she caught an unfamiliar scent coming from Ikaris. She looked over at their alpha and then the beta taking note of their mannerisms and features. Her eyes instantly flew back over to Ikaris and her tone lowered as she took a couple of steps closer to him. "What happened? Why does Briar look like death is going to happen to someone and you have a strange scent that isn't the smoke or bourbon..." Her hands clenched into fists in her pockets before she removed them from their hiding spots and moved to fold her arms across her chest in an act to keep herself contained. Her expression softened for a moment as she looked over Ikaris before speaking. "You look like someone beat the crap out of you without actually beating the crap out of you."

༺ Mosi Kana′tĭ ༻ Scout • 24 Female • M: pack members in the pack house
As more and move voices and footsteps found their way through the house. Mosi discarded her boxing gear into the proper cubbyhole in the wall. Picking up her phone from where it sat on her towel. A handful of messages from the packs group chat had come through while she worked out. Simon wanted the pack to hang out and Briar as per usual was being a grump. A smile lifted the corner of her mouth at the back and forth banter. Texting a quick reply before heading for the stairs that led from the pack house gym to its door exit in the hall by the kitchen. • Mosi: Just finished working out, I'm down. Food has been made btw. Homemade Chinese food is in the fridge. 6:20pm Sent | • Rebraiding their hair as she made her way upstairs. Mosi opened the door to the basement. Almost hitting Raven in the arm as her pack mates all stood talking right there. "Shit sorry Raven." She flashed a smile at everyone but it dropped quickly. • Her nose crinkled as a foul smell hit her nose. "who smells like cigarettes?" Walking past them into the kitchen tossing her towel in the laundry shoot. Turning back towards the pack Mosi hopped up to sit on the edge of the counter. She was dressed in grey sweatpants and a dark blue tank. Her onyx eyes focusing on the conversation at hand. • They all seemed slightly on edge. Which made Mosi's curiosity highten. "Do I even want to know what's got all your tails tucked?". Edited at October 28, 2022 11:00 PM by Ravensrun

Briar Solanine Tinuviel The Beta Male | Male | Mentions: Ikaris, The Pack The young man was growing even more worried and upset by the moment as Ikaris spoke. And he had to give an expression of hurt at his confession of drinking and smoking. It was an ache to his heart because he had helped Ikaris stay sober and not drink so much, he had helped him quit that nasty habit of smoking. And because of this woman, he had nearly gone back into a spiral. And Briar was furious. She was a destroyer, a taker and knowing her - she wasn't done with him yet. And he had to give an even more somber expression as he had felt Ikaris hands shake in his own, and this made him frown and give a questioning look. What exactly had she done? Oh, hell no. She did something, and he he could feel his heart breaking at the sound of Ikaris saying he's fine when he's clearly not. And that was the last straw for Briar and he gave an angry scowl, a truly upset face, one that was rare and show he was truly pissed off. "Oh hell no Ikaris." He basically hissed, he only used profanity when he was really upset, so this was a point being made, "no, no. How many times have I told you that same line? Huh? And how many times have I deflected a conversation?" He said looking sternly at his friend, as he poked his chest, not caring about his position or rank as his superior, " you don't get to bullshit me mister. You would annoy me half to death until you got an answer and made me talk my trauma out, so you don't get to deflect or hide from me. Especially when it comes to Elle." He hissed out the woman's name like it was venom. He gave an exhausted sigh at Ikaris saying he can handle her. And he strode up to him and this time he meant business, " No. " he said firmly, " you're not making that decision. And don't you dare argue with me on it, that girl has you wrapped around her finger and she damn well knows it. She knows how to use that against you, and I'll be damned before I let her do it again. She's a motherfucking snake in the grass that needs to be humbled, and I will do it if need be. " he said serious and stern at the male a slight annoyed growl coming out at the mention of her, " also, since I'm assuming you saw her at the bar, you're not going back and you're not smoking again." He said poking his chest firmly, " it's because of her that you did this, not you. Her, " he said with emphasis, " I wish you could see what I see, and maybe one day you'll lose your tinted glasses of the way you see her, but for now I'll be your eyes." He then said, " You are not going back to the bar. Don't give her an opportunity or chance to think she's worthy of being back in your life after what she did. And if you need backup in getting rid of her, then I'll gladly do so. I never liked her when we were kids and I still don't like her. So it's not a problem for me." He said with a huff. He made it a point to ignore Raven's statement about his rest and grumpily go to get some coffee. But at Tori's mention of him looking ready to murder he gave a dry chuckle saying, " When it comes to Elle, I am ready for murder." He said as he sipped his coffee he was making. And he frowned at Ikaris who was mentioning a run, " It looks like it's going to rain. And plus it's cold, so that's the perfect mix to get sick. Also, are you sure you should do that. " He said concerned, but then sighed, " never mind, you're going to do it anyway. So I might as well come with you go make sure you don't get lost or fall down a ditch ." He hummed to himself and took a swig of his coffee. Edited at October 28, 2022 11:46 PM by Spellbound

Tori O'Connor Werewolf - Pack Member - Mentions: Ikaris, Briar, Mosi When Briar had stepped closer to Ikaris, Tori moved to stand between the two men with a low growl at their Beta. "And you think speaking this way helps Briar? I will lean on your side that this Elle person is horrible and used Kari but the way you are talking to him is almost as bad." She turned her gaze towards Ikaris before her hues moved back to Briar. "It isn't easy as easy as you would think getting away from someone that has used and abused you. Hell, why do you think I came back? You can spend all the time in this lovely world running from the problem but when it comes time to face it, even if you are stronger than you were when you met them, just the slightest of notions can bring back all of the happy memories that you once shared with that person. You know they are bad for you and that you should push them away....but they were nice to you once...loved you once..." Her voice almost caught in her throat while her jaw tightened after she finished speaking and she let out a deep breath. "Yelling and getting angry at the person that was hurt doesn't help. It may be done because we care about the person but what it does is push them farther away from you. Would you really want to talk and open up to someone that is belittling you for the mistake that you know you made by letting the monster of an ex back into your life? For telling you that you aren't strong enough to show them that they have no effect and that you need your friends to always tell them to shove off? Because I wouldn't. I wouldn't even share that I had run into the person if there was no way to tell that I had been around them." Tori turned her whole body to face Ikaris and while being mindful of the glass of orange juice he was holding, she wrapped her arms around him in a hug as she whispered. "I do need some more information about Elle but there is no rush." She pulled back from him with her hands still resting on his upper arms and offered a warm smile. "Also I will come along on the run. Better to have two with the alpha, just in case." Her eyes moved back over to Briar as she released Ikaris. Even though she had smiled, her eyes held a sad understanding of what Ikaris was possibly going through and she stepped away from him as she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. Hearing what little she had brought back painful memories of her own that she was trying to push back into the dark recesses of her own mind that she absent mindedly stepped over to the counter and leaned against it, folding her arms over her chest in a protective position. A part of her also felt hurt that Ikaris hadn't mentioned this Elle person when they would talk during her time in Ireland and she honestly felt guilty for not being here to help him through it. Vague memories of the girl danced in her head but yet this Elle still stayed faceless.

Simon Oliver Reed Pack Member || M || Mentions: Pack Members in House Simon's heart sank a little bit, but he knew that it was always a bad idea to wake Briar up from a nap. Shit. If only he had known. The anxious pack member knew that he was very likely to be on the beta's bad side now. The young man bunched up his blankets around his chest and skimmed through a few apps before the other responses had chimed in. Tori and Mosi always made him feel at ease. Simon: Maybe a movie later tonight? I can go on a drink run if anyone has any special requests? 🥂 6:21pm. Delivered. | It sounded like a lot of commotion was happening downstairs, and curiosity had eventually gotten the best of him. The gentle giant slid from the side of his bed and plopped his blankets down into a lumpy mess. Beneath, he was dressed for comfort in a pair of gray sweatpants and a basic black shirt. His feet were covered up by black socks, which had slipped into some rainbow slippers that his mom had spoiled him with during the last pride month. After a stretch and a look in the mirror on his dresser, he trekked his way from the room and towards the kitchen. He was about to greet everyone, but had seemingly found himself in the middle of a heated debacle. Elle's name had been thrown around, and Simon's stomach had immediately been entangled in knots. He knew just enough about her to know that she was Ikaris' ex, and by the look on Briar's face, Ikaris must have encountered her again. He could smell cigarette ashes and alcohol from where he stood, which was uncomfortably off to the side, but still certainly in view. He rubbed at his forearm sheepishly, wanting to speak out, but for who and what for, he was uncertain. He watched as Tori hugged Ikaris, and glanced over Mosi's way as if searching for some silent explanation as to what was going on. They were like a family. It didn't ever need to get this heated between them. Though he missed the brunt of the argument, Simon could feel the tension and unease in the air. He grabbed his keys from his pocket and reflectively tensed up as they jingled. His fist balled within, thumb skimming over the rough metal. Everyone looked heartbroken, but for different reasons. Anger masked it on some, but the hurt was just beneath it. Was jealousy the true culprit? Beneath all the pain, he could see envy in the beta's eyes. Simon did not feel as though Briar was envious of the alpha position, but perhaps about the mentioning of one of Ikaris' past love interests. By the way their beta's eyes dilated whenever Ikaris was in the room, Simon had wondered for quite some time if there were deeper feelings than just friendship at play. The young man cleared his throat softly, wondering if their alpha felt the same. Simon gnawed at the inner side of his cheek. He didn't want to be rude and leave, but didn't want to be rude and stay. He exhaled softly and flitted his brown eyes between each member around him before hanging his head. His tanned cheeks and nose were reddened slightly from the embarrassment. Simon was all too familiar was spats like this. He could still practically hear the way his dad shouted, and feel the way the air froze when his mother swung her hand to smack her husband's gristly chin. Simon invisioned the spittle that had flung afterwards, some hailing across his freckled face. He jolted from the thought and returned to the present, peaking up through thick lashes as he awaited Ikaris' next moves. He did not want to get involved, but he would protect their leader if it was absolutely necessary. He was not a violent man, but Simon was toweringly tall and had plenty of power behind his swings from farmwork, and knew that he could handle himself if it ever absolutely came down to it. The images of sparring with the beta swiped through his mind, an absolute last resort, but one he would take if he must. His heart thudded rhythmically in his chest as he watched for any sudden movements. Edited at October 29, 2022 03:23 PM by Nox

☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽ werewolf ⋆ alpha male ⋆ mentions: Briar, Tori
It was all too much.
Briar was right. Tori was right. They were both right but Ikaris couldn't shake the feeling that this was all his fault. He could've avoided the bar, but he didn't. Instead he had given in to a habit and as a result he ran into someone he could've gone the rest of his life without seeing. He had then stupidly thought that maybe she wasn't that bad anymore. He gave a chance to the wrong person and he had paid for it. Why couldn't anyone else see that it was his fault?
Tori's hug provided some comfort, made him feel slightly better about getting both Briar and her to worry over him. The reality of what they had both said now settling in his bones. Kari knew that he couldn't promise to not go back to the bar, to not drink- maybe he could get himself to not smoke, but everything else seemed damn near impossible. Instead of responding to the many things both of the pack members had said, Ikaris instead chose to say three words with a quiet voice, "I deserved it." Not wanting to wait for a response, the alpha male made sure to set his glass aside before he walked away towards his room, mumbling at himself angrily.
Once he made it into his room, Ikaris sat on his bed and let himself fall back onto it, raising a hand to cover his face as he mumbled incoherently. He had one hell of task to accomplish now. Tori deserved to know about Elle, and he had to explain everything to her now- or attempt to considering his views on the woman were a bit warped compared to how everyone else was able to see her. Maybe he could try to get Briar to help him out. He had already unknowingly made Tori aware of her for the first time ever.
Closing his eyes, the alpha let out a soft sigh, a single teardrop slipping out from under his eyelid and rolling down his cheek before dropping onto the blanket under him. Maybe he'd just stay home tonight, laying here on his bed in silence. As much as he wanted to go out and push himself beyond his limits on a run, he didn't want to have anyone else come along if there was a chance they'd stop him and chastise him for being careless. If he did go tonight, he'd have to find a way to sneak out without them noticing, which seemed like it'd be impossible tonight if they decided to keep a close eye on him.
( Ah, this is shorter than I wanted- but I couldn't figure out what exactly to say. My apologies if it's a bit shitty. :'D )

Simon Oliver Reed Pack Member || M || Mentions: Ikaris Simon watched as Ikaris left the room. Everything felt tense, cold, and uncomfortable. Nothing felt right to say, but he had so many questions, and so many jumbled feelings. He regretted walking into the kitchen in the first place, but like always, his curiosity got the best of him. Quietly, Simon withdrew, and walked slowly after the alpha with slumped shoulders and a wary expression. Ikaris had already closed the door, and Simon could hear the ever so slight creak as the bed was laid upon. He felt bad about the blowup. It did not feel deserved, but then again, Simon didn't know all of the details. He glanced over his shoulder, hoping to not have been followed. He was worried he'd be chased off. Simon debated, but knocked softly, eventually. He hoped to not anger his superior, but knew that the chance of that happening was a high possiblity. It didn't sit right with him to not try though, at the very least. "Hey, it's Simon," he said in a delicate, soft tone. Maybe someone not involved in the mix would bring some type of comfort to speak with. Simon always was willing to be a shoulder to cry on. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, followed by a moment of silent pondering before adding, "or if I can get you something, let me know." Edited at October 29, 2022 04:43 PM by Nox

Rhain Thaef Pack Member/Scout/M: Pack in the Pack house Rhain had been awake all night, so taking a power nap seemed like a great idea. He didn't think it would cause him to miss something important in the kitchen. Something that had undoubtedly lead to an outburst as he heard Ikaris shut a door which had been preceeded by 'I deserved it'. Deserved what exactly? This is what he gets for never being around the pack. Stepping through the entrance for the kitchen, Rhain attempted not to make any eye contact and headed towards the fridge where his water bottle was. His mouth felt dry, even drier now with the tension in the air. He didn't really feel like asking what the elephant in the room was, especially because it seemed to be a sensitive topic. He was sure it would come again some other time though. He gave polite nods to his pack members upon meeting their eyes, but tried not to linger on any of them. His focus was the fridge, and he planned to keep it that way until someone else talked to him Edited at October 29, 2022 08:21 PM by Forerunner
