Rowan || M || Juvenile || Skylark, Lynxtuft, Silence, Echo, Shashlik Rowan disappeared into the forest his nose deep in the dirt as he scented for newborn scent. Within some time of searching the tall grass he had found the shivering mule deer fawn curled up. His jaws parted as they snapped over the fawns neck instantly killing the fawn. He stood up from the tall grass with the young fawn in his jaws. Smiling he broke through the bushes back in front of everyone. Softly he laid down the fawn, "See? Im like the best hunter alive." He boasted cheerfully. Indeed he was a really good hunter.

Skylark l F l Juvenile l M: Rowan Skylark followed behind Rowan, watching him sniff out the fawn. Best hunter alive for sure, she thought with a smile. I wonder if he would want to be a team, or if he prefers solo hunting. Maybe he doesn't want me in the way.

Silence | F | Pack member | M: Skylark, Lynxtuft, Echo, Shashlik, Rowan This entire time, Silence had decided to live up to her name - again - and remain silent. She did enjoy Skylark's joke about "making Silence less silent", though. It was true, to some extent. She need to be... less silent. She'd already turned down Lynxtuft's kind attempt at allowing her to join their collective eating of a mouse, which she found to be kind of humorous, considering that a single mouse was never enough to fill the stomachs of so many wolves in the first place. It was kind of interesting to watch so many wolves become so jubilant over that tiny piece of prey. When was the last time she felt like that? When was the last time when she didn't turn down a request to join a large group event and stop feeling so tense for once? The fact that Silence couldn't think of an answer to her question probably meant something. However, she wasn't hungry. Silence just really, really wanted an excuse to be in the forest after what she'd unintentionally said to Lynxtuft... Whatever. Dwelling on the past wasn't going to help. She could ponder about her guilt and be a little more silent later. Right now, she needed to be less silent, and probably a bit more productive as well. Silence immediately enountered a problem. Hunting was definitely not her forte - she thought that maybe she was somewhat of a decent hunter despite not having caught any considerably large prey for a while now, until Rowan disappeared into the forest and returned what felt like half a minute later with an entire fawn at his feet. That did hurt her confidence a bit, seeing a juvenile so proficient at hunting, but she just kept telling herself that she shouldn't be jealous and that she need to stop - ARGH. It seemed like every time she tried to break her loop of pessimistic thoughts, it would only bring more attention to the problem. Silence the silent overthinker. What a fitting name, she thought to herself as she disappeared from the rest of the group, trying to find something that should could hunt. She stopped in her tracks. There was a hare. Silence exhaled slowly. Time to transform from Silence the silent overthinker to Silence the silent hunter. Think of the hare like an herb, she told herself. Herbs were much easier to hunt, considering that they didn't actively run for their lives away from her. Oh, and there wasn't nearly as much blood. Hares, on the other hand - The hare turned towards Silence and prepared to sprint away. Instinctively, Silence leaped forwards and grabbed the hare in her paws, but the hare instantenously wriggled out of her grip. Totally forgetting the basics of hunting, Silence's imemdiate response was to grab the hare again and bash it repeatedly against the nearest tree. It was dumb, she knew. It was the dumbest thing she could've done in the moment. But the hare was dead, and now Silence could finally have something to present to the rest of the group. Welp. One overthinking session and one horrifically uncalculated attempt at hunting later, Silence the not-so-silent hunter had a hare. She wondered what the others would think. Picking up the hare in her jaws, Silence wondered what kind of excuse she'd make for presenting such a bloody piece of prey. "It put up a really good fight" would be brilliant, except this was a hare and hares generally if not always preferred running over fighting. Well, she could always say that she scratched it multiple times as it tried to evade her, but everyone knew that her reflexes were greatly outmatched by that of a hare's. This one was particularly weak and somehow, by sheer luck, didn't flee fast enough. "You're overthinking this again," she muttered to herself. "Silence needs to be less silent."

Lycus | Juvenile | Mentions: Kalevala (direct) "Okay." Lycus responded as he followed his sister out as they made their way back to camp. Lots of other wolves had awoken by the time they got back, and Lycus looked around for his mother, but didn't catch sight of her. (Sorry for the short post)

Inclementia The Alpha Female | Female | 5.5 Years | Mentions: Malaki, The Pack [dir.] The female gave a slight hmph at her mate's response and narrowed her eyes slightly and gave a small sigh. " I'll let this slide just once, but don't let it happen again - darling." She said with a hint of displeasure in her tone. And she walked beside her mate to their perch atop the rock. And she gave a soft hum in response, "I believe I might enjoy the company of the elders today, and get their wisdom and thoughts on possible pairings for the juveniles. And I already have an idea for the juveniles training, along with who I want for a hunting and border patrol. I'll take the lead on this one." She said as she nipped his ears teasingly and brushed up against him as she passed him up to make herself known to the pack. And she cleared her throat, knowing that the pack would respond to it - after all they knew that she didn't tolerate any disorganization when she conducted the briefings for the morning. And she paused to give them a chance to settle down and notice that she was about to give orders. "Good Morning," she crooned warmly to the pack, " I hope everyone is well rested and ready for the day. First thing, Lycus could you be a dear and gather all the juveniles together and juveniles will need to be seated together for this meeting. Also, all adults are required to stay here until I dismiss you. Now Malaki will be leading the hunting patrol in Huo's apparent absence - and those going with him will be Echo, Shashlik and Azalea. For Border Patrol, I will be leading that. And I am taking Kalevala, Willow, and Fracture." "As for the juveniles training ; For Patrolling - Ivory will take Moth and Nikalus. Arrow with Callidora and Topaz . Jarek with Skylark and Mikhail. Now, for hunting - Sikúnguaĸ with Enigma and Lycus. Silence with Mudslide and Katyusha. Ash with Cascade and Aspen. As for the remaining juveniles, Rowan will be on pupsitting duty and I believe that's all of you. Now if you haven't been called please step forward so I can assign you a task."

Lynxtuft/F/Pack Member/M: Inclementia, Rowan, Shashlik "You didn't assign me anything!" She woofed, trying not to sound too annoying. She hoped she could go hunting with Shashlik. They were both goodbhunters, and maybe if Shashlik came they could discuss pairings while no one was watching. She was a bit worried about her pups though. Rowan would take good care of them, though. Willow | F | Pack Member| Mentions: Inclementia(ind) Willow's ears perked up as she looked up to the alpha's peak where she saw the she-wolf Inclementia begin to announce what tasks the pack mate's were going to do this morning. Willow turned her attention to the Alphas as she listened and preyed that whatever she was going to be assigned to that it didn't have anything to do with or involved around Jarek. She had initially wanted to be around him and try to spend her time with him to make the best of the situation but now she was hurt and confused and wasn't sure what to do about the whole mate situation. Willow glanced in the direction of Jarek looking at him, wondering if he cared or felt regretful that he had snapped at her. Sure she hadn't been the best to him in the last few weeks but she had never snapped at him nor really said many words to him in general but she was never aggressive toward him it was just so off putting and she didn't know how to take it in. Willow shifted her gaze away from him and back to Clem as she heard her alpha list her name on the border patrol duty and she was able to let out a brief sigh of relief as Jarek's name was listed later on training duties. Willow figured he'd have a good time with the juveniles, better than he would have had if he had to go on patrol with her. Willow heard Ash get assigned to a Juvenile aswell and she held in a small smile. She knew he wasn't always the best with the younger ones and that he'd much rather be on a hunting patrol to take down deer or pheasants so hearing that he was gonna be teaching the juveniles today seemed to slightly change her mood. Willow stretched to her paws slowly before she padded her way across the camp going off to the side at to not disrupt the order of the pack but to move closer to where her group would most likely gather after the meeting was over. Willow sat down quietly as she stood up straight trying to shake off the bad energy that she had gathered this morning. Willow watched as Lynxtuft stepped forward and she scratched at her ear gently as she awaited for everyone to get sorted so she could get moving and keep her mind busy, to go back to proving her worth to her pack. So she could show that she fit in with her pack and that she was a good asset to the pack as a whole. Ash | M| Pack Member| Mentions: Cascade & Aspen (indi) Ash watched as the female alpha stepped up onto the rock and began to announce the assignments and who was going to be designated where for the day. It was about time that they were finally getting the day started. It felt like it was taking an ungodly amount of time and he was frankly getting restless waiting around. Hopefully she keeps this short and brief Ash prayed as he awaited to hear his name called he was crossing his paws for a spot on the hunting patrol as it was the one activity that he felt allowed him to be the most free and open to fill his needs of taking down an unsuspecting prey animal. Ash flicked his tail impatiently as the list of hunting patrol came to an abrupt stop and he unfortunately wasn't on the list of the main hunting patrol nor the boarder patrol which only left him with being assigned to juvenile training or worse pup sitting. Ash let out a quiet huff as he held in the urge to groan in frustration that he had to deal with the youngsters. To his relief at least he wasn't stuck with the pups and was still allowed to do a hunting of sorts however it was more of a training which basically restrained him from using his full potential when demonstrating his skill for hunting and tracking. Reguardless he would have to make due with what he had been assigned and although he wasn't great with juveniles he was great at assisting and teaching them especially when it applied to hunting or tracking. Ash scanned the pack his eyes glancing over to the juveniles he was going to be training to get a quick glimpse of what he'd be working with. Edited at January 12, 2024 12:06 AM by Glowing Ambers

Rowan || M || Juvenile || M: Skylark, Rowan was just about to dig into his prey when patrols started being sent out. His ears perked, perhaps he would get to go hunting? He let out a low growl when he was given pup sitting. Not that he didn't like pups but he would have loved to go hunting. He was a great hunter, wouldn't it be wise to put him on a hunting patrol? He sighed looking at his paws before looking up at Skylark, "Have fun on patrol I suppose." When he was upset it was like everyone could tell. He softly said goodbye to the group ad he laid the small fawn in the fresh kill. They hadn't eaten any and it wasn't like they would now. His eyes glanced over the clearing as he padded off to find the pups. Edited at January 12, 2024 01:16 AM by Lost Rune

Malakai | M | Alpha | M: (Indirectly) Clemmie, Echo, Shashlik,Azaelea / (Directly) Lynxtuft The large brute watched his mate take over the patrols and lashed his tail impatiently to get his feet moving. Hunting... It made him feel young and his favorite thing that he used to do. He admired Inclementia's authority and power over the pack. A thing he admired deeply and loved about his mate. He couldn't love her if she didn't have a power and dominance that challenged him. He needed a challenge in his eyes or everything would be simply just bland and out of taste for himself. She reminded him of a wildfire that was fierce and vicious, but beautiful to look at from a afar. A thing or a force to never be reckoned with, but a precious thing to watch burn down her enemies, His hunting patrols mates and each one of them that he had like or dislike trait about them and he secretly judged each pack member of his. But he would never speak of it unless he wanted to. Actually that was a lie. Malakai has never been the one to bite down his thoughts and he never really cared for who he hurt in the process. Would he wanna live under a pretty lie or the hurtful truth? The truth because lies are disgusting. But Malakai will always be a hypocrite until the truth will be revealed because Malakai has been holding a nasty lie.. And he will do anything in his power to keep swept under a pile of leaves. He thought more about his lineup and he had a list of each one. Azaelea had passionate traits and was very caring and insightful. Smart as a whip and very extroverted that loved to socialize. But she was overbearing and protective over a pup that saw something that scarred him. Pathetic.... A pup that got a lesson of his own and is now suffering from his own consequence. Shashlik a good follower and is very distant pack member. He keeps more to himself and not very much the popular wolf in the pack. He is over heels with his mate but what wolf isn't.. Though sometimes he can be overconfident and arrogant.. Echo a loyal companion but doesn't like the parings. As long as he doesn't step out of line he's good. He's a bit annoying but every wolf is annoying to Malakai is some sort of way. He paused on his thinking listening to Lynxtuft's outburt after the patrol. He twitched his ears in annoyance and his fur bristled. Another burst out of Lynxtuft in the morning. He jumped down off his perch and slowly padded his way to Lynxtuft. His eyes looking down at her menacing and cold and lips curled over his teeth. He snarled lowly, " My mate clearly stated any wolf that doesn't have job will step forward and will be given a task.. Lynxtuft one more outburst or complaint anymore today.. Disrespect my mate again with any complaints.." He looked back at Inclementia with a mischevious smirk on his face. He crept closer to Lynxtuft towering over her with his teeth bared menacingly. He snarled in Lynxtuft's face, " I will give you a task.. As I don't believe in omegas. But we had them when I was younger and I revoked them as alpha. But you will be cleaning out dens and be a omega for the rest of the day until your lesson has been taught. You will not watch your pup. You will not speak until spoken too.. You will not look at wolves in the eyes. You will be a chewtoy for the my pups or anyone who sees fit.. You will sleep in the middle of the camp in no shelter.. You will eat last.. You will be at my command at all times for the rest of the day.. And no one will address you by name! It will be Omega! Anyone else want to complain or object to their duties will join Lynxtuft! I suggest you do not! And anyone treating Lynxtuft nicely or do anything for her will ANSWER to me. Even your own mate.." He slowly made his way back to Inclementia in a more sour mood than before. He growled, "Inclementia can add anything else to Lynxtufts duty for today.."
