Lukas W. Schneider - 19 - Night - Barn #41 - M: Kaleb, Lucian (directly), Skyla (indirectly)

Lukas’ shoulders tensed up more and he could feel his face blush a little. Munich, but it doesn’t matter. “Yeah, probably Berlin.” He looked at the ground. Amongst the two talking he could hear Night sigh again. Her gaze gently fell over the hat net hanging by her stall but she didn’t make an effort to lean over and eat any. He look at Lucian and let out a nervous chuckle. “Your my roommate? That’s great!” He smiled as he ran his hand through his hair. He then noticed another student approach the group. Lukas gave a nod to her and a smile. He blushed again when Lucina sort of indirectly introduced the girl. At least I’m not the only one here. “Thanks for the offer, but i have to go check in and I’m not sure if Night is trail ready yet. At least I’m not comfortable with the idea yet.” He said in an apologetic tone. "I'll probably see you later." He turned back to Kaleb. “Kaleb, I would appreciate the help.”

Kaleb and Lukas walked out of the barn towards the rest of Lukas’ things. He noticed another student who arrived late. At least I’m not the only one…again. He picked up one of his duffel bags as Kaleb made an effort to understand him. “Oh uh..yeah no you’re totally fine”. Lukas smiled and grabbed another bag. “I uh…just not a people person, but I can tell we might be friends”. He said as the two walked to the Heritage House.

"um... just Dover Saddlery... I really don't spend to much on the johds unless they are actually for a show. Are those the new Ariats?". She motioned to the new girls boots before looking to her kit. Trying to gage her a little more.

"So where abouts did you come from? I'm from Illinois.. Chicago to be more specific." She moved back into the aisle to pet Esie who had begun to lean. Her back leg cocked comfortably as she waited for her person to be done. "This is Esperanta IV.. or Esie for short"

Lucian watched his roommate walk off with Kaleb. Feeling a little bad that he spooked the guy.. maybe a few nights getting to know each other and they would be more comfortable around each other. He tipped his head then and turned back to face Skyla.

"Ready to head out and tack up? I can get some saddle bags for our lunches." He snorted out a chuckle. "Helios can be a pack mule for a little bit"

Helios meanwhile, at all the new people coming and going about the aisle stuck hos nose to the bars of his stall door. Starting to beg for treats and to see if he noticed any new mares. The creme colored stallion, whickered once to the cross tied Andalusian but was met with pinned ears and a mare squeal and stomp of a hoof that all horse people know means "NO!"

"Helios stop bothering the girls!". Lucian sighed and looked back to Victoria and the new girl. "Sorry about my dumbass..... he really has no concept of when the mares want nothing to do with him.. especially mares with red ribbons in their tails like that one.

The people just looks back at him in confusion. "Umm ok, well bye. Thanks, I guess?" He awkwardly walked off with Solstace. Jason went to the barn to put Solstace up and saw another new girl. After putting Solstace away he went back to talk to her. "Hi! I'm Jason, what's your name?" He asked. Then he noticed Victoria "Hi Victoria." Jason said with a noticeable less amount of enthusiasm.

"That's right.. she earned those Red Ribbons for a reason.... " With a snort she looks from Lucian back to Jason as the blonde man goes to get the Danish WB out carefully. Though she does seem confused when he starts pulling out a western saddle to put on the smokey cream stallion.

Having seen that Teddy looked a little less than thrilled herself at all the interaction.. especially it seemed with men.. she went to form a little barrier. Hand on hip, her other hand smoothed back her curls.

"This is Teddy Jason..... that is her mare over there with the dapples. Solkatt I believe is what was on her stall marker?... forgive me if I butchered that Ted.. a tongue that knows only English and Greek is not all that great at Scandinavian names"

Lucian went about getting things that probably seemed foreign in this hunter jumper barn out to put on his horse. His trail saddle was by no means fancy but seemed very well made and had a comfortable looking rough out seat. He carefully wrapped the stallion's legs in sports medicine boots before cinching him up. Making sure the initial pull was not too tight as he clipped on a beast collar and saddle bags. Having Helios take his curb bit before turning to clear out of the aisle and wait for Skyla.

Helios for his credit ignored the black mare as he was lead past. Though he did try to get a sniff in before he was jerked away. "No.... you do not need to say hello.. come on you"

Skyla will lead Iris out of her stall and into the cross ties outside the tack room. She herself will go to grab her competition reiner, her prefered saddle for any sort of trail ride. She gets the pad on and winces as she has to haul the saddle onto the mares back. She keeps focused on her work and prays that no one saw her wince tossing the saddle up. She will fasten the cut back girth firmly and goes to get Iris' trail bridle, outfitted with swiveling shanks and a high solid port.

Iris will accept the bit easily and she will get unclipped friom the cross ties. Her flat leather halter will be left on and a lead rope will be tied to the back of the saddle, just for safety's sake. "I'm ready to go, Lucian." She will say as she leads Iris past the other andy mare. Iris will pin her ears at the mare and cocks a leg like she is thinking about kicking, but Skyla is quick enough to get her out of there. After being lead to the mounting block, she will mount with another small wince and turns Iris toward the trails after securing her helmet. " Which trail are we taking? A, B or C today?"

Kaleb will smile back as he kindly shoulders the rest of the baggage so Lukas isnt overloaded. " Ya, I can understand that. I know Im a bit much fer most people... I try te focus on the task at hand and let others do their work... It just doesn't always work out when people are comin up te ye te talk."

As soon as they enter the Heritage House, he will call over to the receptionist in his warm lilt. "It's me again Lassie. Ye think we could get ya te give Lukas S here his key? He wants te be gettin settled before evening chores down at the barn." He will flash the most winning smile to the woman, who will flush a little.

Kaleb will smile to her then nods to the stares. " Your room is up those stairs and te the left. I think you are right next to me." He will head up and nods once. "Yep, right next te me."
