Soma went off into the nearby wooded area after finishing her meal, by the time she found a good place to rest her paws the stars where begninning to show in the sky. It was slowly getting colder out each day that passed and even with her thick brown coat it was noticable. She eventually got comfortable enough to drift to sleep but not without many things on her mind. There was a distant yowling that kept her awake periodically throughtout the night.

Relic yawned, his jaws opened wide as his large canines glistened in the light. He sat up watching around his den area, his eyes shot towards the rabbit who hid in the forest. He dropped into a low crouch and stalked up onto the rabbit. His claws dug into the dirt as he leaped, his muscles flexing as he swiftly took out the rabbit in one blow.

He leaped onto a high ledge searching the plains for any sign of movement. He brought his head up and howled. His howl rang throughout the cliff side and plains full of loneliness. He shook his head before jumping down the ledges to the ground. His paws shook the ground swiftly as he landed. He set out into the plains, he was going to start marking his own territory. He scented the air as he hiked his leg marking the far border. He knew if he wanted to mark his territory he would need a pack soon, witch meant a mate.. He ran through the forest covering ground slowly, but surely. He reached the far right border in the forest like part of his territory. He reached up on a tree digging his claws into the hard bark. He rubbed against it, his scent would be strong here. He felt his stomach growl, he needed food. He ran across his border down the to far bottom sides, He hiked his leg marking it just like the others before running down to the last corner and marking it. He panted, he had to be quick in order to finish marking his territory. His ears flinched listening before his snout rose in the air scenting for food. His ears stood up, elk, about 300 feet away from him. He licked his lips as he stalked into the prairie hiding in the tall grass. He stood several fox lengths away from the herd. He found a nice cow elk, her hind leg had a small gash from another animal that failed to kill her. He flexed his muscles before bolting at her, his claws raked into her hind dragging her down with his weight. The rest of the herd ran off spooked. He clawed her down leaping at her throat, he yelped as he felt the cows hoof slam into his chest, it took his breath away as a small amount of blood matted his fur, dripping onto the grass. He snarled at the cow elk in fury and pain as he pounced on her plummeting her to the ground. He tore into her flesh with his large jaws, the elk let out a long cry before twitching and lying still. He stood to the side of his kill raising his head, he howled strongly showing his victory and strength. His howl rang far and wide, surely some wolf met his stable howl. he shook his head and began to eat.

He yawned loudly as he got up stretching himself. He tore a bone packed with meat off the cow elks ribs, his jaws clamped over it, he headed home. He trotted home setting the large bone with meat in his den. He walked down a slope and into the creek, his paws made a quiet slosh every time he took a step. He lowered his head down lapping of the nice, cool water. He licked his chops as he rolled over in the water, allowing his shaggy pelt to cool off. He played in the water jumping back and forth with large splashing sounds till he was drenched. He yawned shaking his fur rapidly. Water sprayed the rocks and grass as he ran up the slope and back to his den. He lied in the soft nettle patch in his den as he fell into a deep slumber. His dreams were full of loneliness, no warmth beside him, he shivered in fear, his dreams wore away into terrors. He yelped waking up suddenly. He whined sitting up and scratching behind his ear, he thought deeply of his growing loneliness. He shook his head resting his head on his paws and returning to sleep.

He felt like claws were shredding at his chest as he woke up, his chest wound was infected. He whine licking at the burning wound. He sat up scratching behind his ear before yawning. He stretched with a loud whine as he stare out from his den, he couldn't help wanting to run and find others. He knew he was alone in this forest, he shook his head clamping his jaws over the chunk of meat he had saved. He bit into the food wondering what other wolves were like now, he was being starved of company. He was completely alone. His head rose up as he howled deeply with sorrow and loneliness. It rang against the hard stone walls, no one howled back, the silence clawed at him like a badger. He whined as he stared longingly into the far forests. Maybe there were other packs close too him somewhere.
