The wolf had turned his back on him and now was his chance. His chance to run away as fast as he could. No, not before I do this, he told himself. He raised one of his legs and sprayed his scent at a nearby tree. Somehow, that relieved him of the stress a little bit, telling himself that he would be the settler here. With that, Silverback, his eyes still on the wolf, bolted from the scene, spraying dirt and leaves behind him...

Gwendolyn laid sleeping whimpering as bears chased her and her pack mates through her dreams. Her legs kicked out as she yelped in her sleep. When one of the bears closed their jaws around her throat in her dreams she awoke with a start. She was panting her fur bristled as she looked around with wide eyes, realizing that most if not all the pack was still asleep. She relaxed a little when she realized fully that it was just a dream. She stood up and shook out her fur giving out a sigh as she walked off to the stream for a drink of cold water.

Shadow cocked his head at her before saying, "I know I can wash it off. I've done it before, I can do it again. I just need you gone from my territory before I can do it." He huffed as he scented the coyote marking a tree, and turned to watch it bolt into the forest. Once it was gone, he slid his eyes back to the females before going to the small stream, keeping both females in sight. He lazily swum through it, relishing in the cold water. Dipping under the surface, he came back up and out of the water, his pure black coat now shining with the scars on his back.

He soared high over the sky, watching the pristine river below him. Goldbeak let the winds surge him forward, observing his lands. At least that falcon is gone, he thought with contempt. Then something caught his eye. Near the muddy riverbank were two figures partly hidden by the tall oaks and birches. Curious, the eagle circled down until he could see them closer. Goldbeak landed in a nearby maple and what he saw made him want to crack the branch he was perching on...

Icicle watched the two love wolves for a bit before hearing something land in the maple behind her. Turning, she spotted a golden eagle in the tree. She flicked her ears annoyed. Why so many birds? Shrugging, she circled around the oak before watching from a tall pine tree close by.

Goldbeak struggled to keep his talons grounded as he watched the two wolves tug at each other's fur and nose pushing. Don't be such a fool, he reminded himself. These wolves are not one to kill. Goldbeak recognized the small, ruddish one with the white tail tip. Maybe he could deal some damage to her. Suddenly he heard a rustle some feet away from him. He saw a bundle of brown and white fur moving towards a pine. I could do with some rabbit, he thought, and took to the sky...

Icicle flicked her ears as she heard the rustle of wings, the eagle taking flight. Climbing higher up in the pine tree, she looked around for the eagle before letting out a sigh. Why the heck am I looking for an eagle in the first place? She thought before heading back down the tree...

The golden eagle let out a piercing screech as he swooped in for the kill. He could almost taste the meat as he widened his black talons...
