Nyko walked into the living room. "Smells good" he called to Kai cooking in the Kitchen. He then looked at Flame. "Maybe he's out hunting or something." He suggested with a shrug before heading upstairs to put his bag back together. Thankfully he doesnt do his homework in the study like he used to in their old pack house. That called for a few questioning looks at the pack meetings and a shocked look from all his teachers. Of course when he got home, him and his father just laughed about the incident.

Kai smiled slightly and continued to cook. He pulled out some sausage and had pulled out extra eggs as well. He then mind linked his packmates How many eggs? he asked them.

Flame finished putting her stuff together before Kai mind linked them. I think I could eat two by myself. Do you need any help? She asked through the mind link before trying to reach out to connect Shadow. She came up with a blank which was odd. If he was in the radius, then he would show up in the pack link. Flame shook it away, it didn't matter right now. They had to get to school.

Shadow opened an eye yawning. He looked around him before realizing that they must have stopped for a rest and fallen asleep. They were still quite a ways out, meaning he wouldn't get to the cabin in time to see the teens off to school. He got up shaking out his fur before nudging the sleeping form beside him. Amber muttered something unintelligible before he walked over to the stream they lay next to. She shot to her feet with a yelp as he splashed the cold water onto her head. He grinned at her mischievously. "You haven't changed one bit!" Amber snapped playfully at him before pushing him into the stream. He resurfaced, pulling her in and they splashed for a couple moments before pulling themselves out.

Amber shook off before sighing gently, "We're not as young as we used to be." Shadow shook out his pelt before looking towards the still rising sun. "No, no we're not. We better get moving. We need to be in the cover of the other woods by sun high." Shadow said, starting forward. Amber trailed after him before suddenly stopping. He turned before a fish flopped at his paws. Amber pulled a similar one to her. "Eat. Then we go." She said and Shadow flattened his ears for a moment before eating. He knew she wouldn't leave until he did. Once they were finished, they covered up the scraps before heading towards the town.

Kai thanked flame for the offer but turned it down and began cracking the eggs. He put all the eggs into one bowl and began to scramble them. He added a bit of salt and pepper before whisking the eggs again and then pouring them into a pan on the stove to start cooking them. He then cooked the sausage as well.

Nyko told Kai two eggs then finished packing his bag and shoving the drawing into his pocket. He then headed back down stairs and dropping his bag on the couch. He then walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table and pulled the drawing out of his pocket to stare at it.

Flame nodded to Kai before sitting down at the table. She heard Nyko come down and come to the table before pulling out the drawing. She stared at it for a couple moments before looking away. She didn't know what it meant and it made her frustrated. Not the mood she was looking for going to their second day of school. Leaning back in her chair, she waited for Kai to finish up their breakfast patiently.

Once the food is done cooking, kai grabbed out plates and filled everyone's plates with their food then placed them in front of each person. "Still no connection with shadow?" He asked Nyko.

Nyko looked at the food in front of him he tried to mind link the elder but it was no use. "Nothing" he conformed.

Flame frowned as Kai and Nyko traded words on the connection. It wasn't like Shadow to simply disappear. Granted, Nyko and Shadow did just that last night. Now she had to figure out what to say if Akira brought it up. Shaking that thought away, she tried to link the elder one more time as she waited for her alpha to eat.

Shadow and Amber paused at a stream, laying down to rest. The kids would be at school by the time they got back to the cabin. That actually would be for the best, too many questions in too short of the time needed to answer them. Amber laid her head on his once before looking out through the forest. "Does he look like Alpha?" She murmured quietly, flicking an ear back at him. Shadow smiled slightly, "Yes, he does. He is now his own alpha though, so your going to have to get used to calling him alpha." Amber chuckled, "Yes, that will take a while." Shadow got up shaking out his fur, time to go. They were almost in range for the pack link to work. Once the kids got to the town, they would be at the stream. A five minute opening for the pack link before it got cut off again.

Nyko started to eat his breakfast. He finished it quickly then washed his plate. He grabbed his bag then waited for the others. He kept his mind link open hoping that he would be able to contact Shadow.

Kai watched his alpha for a moment then began eating. As usual he felt that he could improve his cooking a little. He finished his food and grabbed his stuff and the posterboard. Looked like he was walking to school rather then running.

Flame finished her food before washing her dish after Nyko did. Going over to where she put her bag, she picked it up, slinging it over her shoulder before she grabbed her lunch. Walking out, she waited for the others to start moving.

Kai startsd forwards in the direction of the school. He was a little excited but mostly nervous.

Nyko closed his mind link and turned to the group. He took up the back end heading to school.
