Amity had been in hiding from society since day 1. Today, she happened to pick a certain wooded area that nobody would dare venture into.

She had been out for a casual stroll when she heard voices. She quickly ducked behind a tree, her fear making her wings emit a dark energy. She tucked them behind her back, hoping to make them not as noticeable.

She looked at the crowd and saw a horrible scene. Somebody was leaned up against a tree, clearly injured. She reached for her backpack, which she kept full of medical supplies, but she saw another girl touching the wound. The wound appeared to be... what? Healing?

Okay, this is strange.

She looked around at the small group and saw many other strange people. Her only possible conclusion was either a dream or hallucination, or they were mutants.

They must be mutants, I haven't gone to sleep, and I don't remember eating any strange mushrooms earlier...

She slowly stepped out from her hiding spot, brandishing her wings, which had turned a feathered white. She began to make her way down the slope, carefully picking where she stepped until she could see the scene better.

"Hello? A-are you guys okay?"

Amity took a step back.

"Well, I can see that. I'm not blind."

Her wings began to glow red, which was a clear sign that she would need to calm down or else she could worsen the situation.

"What I meant was, do you need help?"

"Sure, I can do that."

She spread her wings, which had calmed down to their previous feathered white, and leaped into the sky, her wings beating to gain altitude. She soon joined the other girl, Faye, and began to circle around, seeking out the distinct hospital building.
