The small, malnourished, disabled boy who had many health problems was named Thaddeus. He quietly shuffled to a nearby corner the moment the door had opened with the help of his very large service dog, Ridley. He didn't want any interactions with people as he was scared they'd be just like every other kid he had met: cruel, bullies, physically beat him up, emotionally and mentally abusive.

The dog cast a glance to the owner of the orphanage and instantly could tell the type of person she really was. He snarled almost viciously at her as she had left the group of new arrivals. Thaddeus tried unsuccessfully to quiet his service dog, and only friend.
He soon had slid down, sitting on the floor, and pulled out his almost filled, old sketch book and began to draw as he quietly sang to himself and Ridley. The massive dog rested his giant head in the boys lap, completely covering half his body.

Thad glanced up at Nicolas and Yasahiro before quickly looking back at his sketch pad, hoping and praying that they didn't notice him.
