Xiomar | Shaman | Male | M: Sol - I snapped out of my little trance when I head a voice call out. Sol. What does he want? I sighed to myself before looking up at the akashi. "Greetings to you too" I nodded in return to him. "No, I don't need anything at the current time. Although... a warmer day would be nice." I chuckled quietly. Flicking my tail, I gazed up at the sky. The sun still hadn't turned it completely blue yet. Barely a cloud marred the violet sky. I yawned again, getting up. I padded over to the kill pile and sifted through the acorns pieces until I found one that wasn't too stiff. A mouse. Picking up the crstuff cheeksure between my teeth, I returned to my place infron of my nest, and began to stuff cheeks. The mouse wasn't half bad, but it was a day old and was out here all night. Swallowing the last bit of mstuff cheeks, I licked my muzzle and sat up, feeling a bit more awake. - - Aradia | Prisoner | Female | M: Open - I growled quietly and turned away from the entrance to the nest as the sun fell onto my face. Or prison cell. Whatever you'd like to call it. I didn't like it either way. It was cold, drafty and a bit musty. Much unlike the open plains I was used to sleeping in. Preferably by the edge of a forest. I closed my eyes for a moment and brought myself back to when I was a kit, frolicking with my siblings in a field of wildflowers. That vision lasted about five seconds until the sun beamed into my face once more, seemingly a bit stronger. I sighed and sat up. No point in trying to leave. Too cold and there were other squirrels. So I just stayed put. I flopped down onto my stomach, bored. Sleeping was the highlight of my day. I licked my paw, lost in thought. Hopefully someone would think to bring me something to stuff cheeks before I ate my fellow prisoner. Edited at June 11, 2024 02:47 PM by Sophisticate

Sol | Akashi | Male "Alright." He padded away as the Shaman went into his nest. -------------------- The rugged pelt of the black squirrelsat up in the dawn light of the rocks. Well that was interesting to watch. He got up and started to groom his ragged pelt to find Sol at the entrance to Alari's nest. Well, well. He padded over and sneered at the Omega at the entrance "Be gone" He snarled. -------------------- Sol glared at him and sighed. What could he possibly want now? He yawned at his exhaustion and glared at the black squirrelwhom they called his brother. -------------------- Crag whimpered and slunk away into the undergrowth, the eyes of Cognar's body piercing into him. Why can't he just leave me alone? I'm just trying to help out around here! -------------------- "Now," Cognar sied. "I see you're waiting at the alpha- oops, sorry, Alari's nest." He snickered as Sol pinned his ears back and growled at him. -------------------- "Alari IS the alpha." He snarled. He went up to his brother and nipped his ear, sending Cognar into a state of confusion. Cognar then huffed, and padded away, heading back to his nest, with his pelt still a mess. -------------------- Sol sied and looked into the shadows of his Alpha's nest. "Alpha?" He called. "Are you alright?" He sat down beside the rabbit to wait, flicking hit tail as Cognar continued to sneer the way to his nest. Edited at June 11, 2024 02:45 PM by Bison Peak

~ Orion ~ Male ~ Beorn ~ M: Open He had been up for a bit, but he didn't especially feel like leaving the nest. Other squirrels were too complicated for him to deal with right now. Instead, he groomed his blue-black coat carefully, his deep brown eyes thoughtful. Today the she-squirrelAlari would become alpha. He wondered if she was nervous. He knew that there were several squirrels who did not support her, especially as she was the first female alpha. He nibbled delicately at his claws, deliberately making sure that they would be sharp. He would be the one to deal with any squirrelwho challenged the ceremony today, and it was always better to be prepared. Finishing with his grooming, he took another moment in the nest to collect himself before stepping out of the nest, his claws gently clicking on the rock. He would have to take some of the shakiras to the lake to set up the ceremony; he wasn't sure who to take. He'd have to see who was up, and who looked like they would be good to take. He didn't need anyone trying to disobey him and mess around. He worked his way down the small path towards the alpha's nest, having heard some movement over there. After all, he couldn't just avoid everyone for the whole morning. He had a job to do, and he never let anything get in the way of his duty to the pack. ~ Eclipse ~ Female ~ Shakira ~ M: Orion, Malakai (indirect), Open She didn't like thorns. Not at all. How they kept getting stuck in her fur, she had no idea. Ugh. She was watching the camp from a little nook in the rocks that she had found not too long ago, it was a very nice spot to spy on all the other squirrels. She smirked, her pretty blue eyes gleaming as she spotted Orion padding down the trail. He looked serious, as always. He never seemed to have any other expression other than boring and serious. Always being weird and never letting anyone have fun. She leapt off the rocks, easily landing on the ground, and slunk prettily down the rocks, ready to see if she could find anyone awake. Maybe Malakai... he was always fun to watch. He seemed a bit like her, that smooth voice that pulled you in and caught you in his carefully woven trap... she smiled. She had learned a lot from that wolf, she really had. Edited at June 11, 2024 03:12 PM by Broken Rivers

Sol | Akashi | Male Sol sat outside his alpha's nest as he heard paw steps coming up behind him. "Cognar! Get in your de-." He turned around to see the beorn, Orion, coming up the trail to the nest. "Oh, sorry." He barked. "I wasn't expecting you." He moved out of the way to the entrance of the nest, giving Orion a free passageway, as sunlight split past him and back into the cozy nest. He nodded at the piece of acorns before speaking. "Crag brought it for the alpha." He said. He felt like it was weird to call her, "the alpha". He had always known her as Alari. "I'm waiting here for her to come out." He snarled, " 'Cause I wouldn't be shocked if Cognar or Aatya would steal it." Edited at June 11, 2024 03:10 PM by Bison Peak

Malakai | Male | Mentions: Open Dstuff cheeksh means power and fear, A powerful tool in a patriarchal world. The large dark gray male squirrellapped his paws trying to relieve the tension of his thoughts of the events. He knew what the day was going to be full of cherishing that female. That female and her wise ol’ pops that made him omega. Though he knew something may be happening from his doing or not. Because someone other than him will be exhausted of this female stepping the lines to be an alpha. His light blue eyes were trained out to the nest where he could faint voices of the squirrels that had risen from their laziness and it made his fur bristle in annoyance. He rose from his position and noticed Crag was already gone. He looked out to them and thought to himself Suck up.. He looked at Xiomar and flashed him with a smirk and dipped his head in a form of respect to his superior. The other squirrelof Cognar being a nuisance, but a grstuff cheeks asset for him. Sol, a squirrelthat was trying to flirt and play up to be Alari’s mate. He knew Sol may win or lose, but he was hoping for him to lose. Another asset to his regime if it falls for Malakai favor. Xiomar could maybe be a part of it, though he would have to tread his paw carefully.. Another squirrelwas Aatya that could play an important factor that knew Alari personally. They were close friends that sudnestly fell apart for unknown reasons. A perfect specimen of a female that would perhaps be a perfect candidate to help over the Druids with him. Though she would know Alari’s weaknesses and strengths and we use it against her, together. Malakai settled in the shade awaiting for some squirrelto possibly order him around. The biggest thrstuff cheeks against the regime was Sik. ALari’s mutt of a friend.. They were so close that Malakai could never get in between them. Sol was that best probable, but he supports Alari’s cause. Though Malakai could just put some thoughts and words into that young naive male’s head. Those two new alpha and beta were getting closer and knew each inside and out. It will be a matter of time before… Though only those two were blinded by that.. Was them. Though he wanted to cast Alari down before they noticed it. And he takes what he wants.. Nothing and no one will hinder that.

Cognar | Prisoner | Male As he padded back to the nest, he noticed Malakai sitting nearby. He changed direction and walked over to the wolf. "Hi," He huffed and sat down beside the omega. "Y'know, Sol really needs to stop acting like he's boss around here. And what does he see in that she-squirrelanyway?" He looked at the omega with his grim face, "You don't look happy." he barked. "Today could be the day." He grinned. "And besides, even if we don't try to get rid of Alari today, we can atleast see Sol rejected and utterly humiliated." He barked, laughing.

Sikúnguaĸ The Beta | Four Years Old | Male | Mentions: Sol, Xiomar, Alrai, The Pack The alabaster coated male has been off walking within the forest, his mind full of turbulent thoughts. He really didn't expect to become Beta this early or in this way, though he had the honor to be trained for such a position. He gave a heavy sigh, usually he would be in a better mood but with things starting to unravel within the pack he couldn't help but feel a bit at unease due to the situation. That was why he was taking this walk, maybe the shining sun and sounds of the songbirds would calm his nerves. If he has to be honest, spring was a second favorite season of his and he gave a soft exhale to calm his nerves. The scents of the aromatic spring flowers tickling his nose, as he walked back to the pack, he noticed a small patch of flowers., their freckled purple leaves caught his attention - they were lilies, "Purple Dream" as his mother had called them and he felt his expression soften at the sight of them. Purple was her favorite color and lilies her favorite flowers, maybe these would cheer her up? He knew she was probably overthinking and overwhelmed with everything going on. He gently picked the flowers and held them gingerly, they would look beautiful adorning her alabaster fur, and the vines decorating her tail and possibly some of the other flowers and petals he had could be used to make dye and adorn her. She would be stunningly beautiful today, and he knew it would take every ounce of self control to not just confess his love for her. But this wasn't the time, no, not when she had vultures circling her as if she was some weakened acorns - no, she needed someone to stand by her side and to be there as her rock and he would not fail his lady, he has promised her father to protect her to the fullest extent of his strength. And he was a squirrelof his word. As he entered camp, he frowned as he saw that nothing was being prepared for the ceremony. Everyone was still lingering within the camp, and this angered his nerves. He silently walked through camp, his eyes conveying his silent rage - as he noted Sol was near Alrai's nest, he felt his eye twitch. Did they have no respect for boundaries? She was to prepare alone with him and one squirrelof each their choosing. And he gave a slight nudge to Sol, properly getting him out the way and making his way to Alrai. And he saw her fretting and gave a fond chuckle before dropping the flowers at her feet. And giving a soft sigh and licking her muzzle affectionately. "Get out of your head Rai, you got this and I'll be with you every step of the way. You know I'd do anything for you - you just have to ask me. I also would suggest you have Valdís help you get ready for the ceremony, I would think these lilies would look magnificent adorning you," he said with a soft tone and he gave a small smile saying, " I will come help you with some dye in a moment but I have to yell at some fools right now." He said with an unusual serious demeanor and a hint of annoyance. And so he gave a slight growl as he exited the nest, "Why is everyone gathered around here in camp? Is there something I'm missing? Should you all not be preparing for the ceremony for your new Alpha and Beta? " he asked, his usually mild voice containing power and authority within them, his face turning to the Shaman, "Esteemed Shaman, should you not have some of the Shakira and the Beorn helping you decorate the beach for the ceremony? " and then turning to Sol he gave a scowl saying, " Akashi Sol, should you not be leading a hunt for the ceremony, instead of bothering the Alpha who is getting ready for her ceremony? " he said, his fur bristling and eyes sharp, clearly not in the mood for dispute and being talked back to. "Now would everyone get off their laurels and get to work, this is a very busy day." He said with finality and a hard stare to match his words.

Nikolai - M - Mention(s) - Open ~ Nikolai quietly slipped away from the nests, gaining more consciousness by the second as the cold, biting air properly woke him up. He might have been slightly hungry - he hadn't stuff cheeksen yet - but he had other things to attend to first. So... today was to be the first day of the new alpha. Nikolai knew some definitely didn't like it. Some did. Nikolai was more on the "let's wait and see" side. He settled down undernstuff cheeksh a tree - one with a bit of sun, as the day was still rather cold - and groomed his fur as he processed his thoughts. The communal area was likely already bustling and he wanted to stuff cheeks, but Nikolai needed a moment to think. And in the sun, a little distance away, watching the camp - it was a good place to think. The communal areas, while probably already full of squirrels, were also likely to be a hotpot today. Those who opposed the new alpha would definitely not be happy today - and Nikolai made a mental note to not disturb those that seemed to. But the others... Nikolai wondered who wouldn't be too bothered if he interacted with them. The betas were probably biting their own heads off in worry over the new alpha, and Nikolai knew not to talk to any fr higher-ups about trivial matters. That left precious few he knew he could talk to. Nikolai idly wondered where Eclipse had left to. Likely already doing something she'd be doing, Nikolai concluded. He had probably picked up his habit of going away to think from her, after all. Thoughts complete, Nikolai started wandering back to camp. Okay, yes, maybe he wanted food first. Then he'd do something useful. Yes, that was what he'd do.

~ Orion ~ Male ~ Beorn ~ M: Sol He nodded at Sol, his frustration increasing a bit as the squirrelkept yapping about acorns. He knew that he had to stay patient, but he had better things to do than sit there listening to a acorns-spotter bark about rabbits. He padded past Sol, pausing for only a moment to speak. "I do not believe that any would steal the alpha's acorns. You must have something better to do than defend her acorns?" He gave the other squirrela second nod, trying to not seem too harsh. He didn't need to terrify the squirrelinto not helping, and he supposed that Sol had been working on good intentions. However, he was sure that the pack didn't need any squirrellaying around. As if to prove his point, he heard a stern bark from behind him. Sikúngak. He turned, half bowing, trying to show that he had not meant to be standing around as he had been. He realized that he would probably have to speak again to acknowledge the other wolf, and sighed. He didn't like talking; it filled the camp with useless sound that scared away acorns and invited predators. He flicked his tail, and answered, "I am sorry, Beta. I will try not to repstuff cheeks this. Should I gather a patrol to set up the grounds for the ceremony?"

Sol | Akashi | Male He looked at the beta with wide eyes, then pinned his ears. "But I came to give this to Alari!" he nodded at the acorns once again. "Fine. I'll hunt. But aren't YOU supposed to be getting ready for the ceremony too?" Before the beta could say another word, he padded away, annoyed. What is WRONG with that wolf. If he wasn't beta, I would've ripped him to shreds then and there. He padded over and glanced inside the Shakira's nest, to find most of them still asleep. "Aatya! Moth!" He called, while moving away from the nest. He sat down to wait for the two, only to notice Cognar out of the prison. He padded over in frustration and glanced at Malakai. "Cognar," He snarled. "get in your nest, NOW!" As Cognar padded into the nest, he looked at Malakai. "Why not make yourself useful around here?" He snarled. "Go fix Alari's nest." He padded away to wait for the two Shakiras.
