But, yeah, no, if it doesn't bother anyone, I just... I need to explain a few points as to how the unit isn't street legal because my boss has been told a few times now and it has been this way for over a month. 1: There is a warning saying to service the engine. 2: There is a warning saying to service the air bag system. 3: The back right tire has a bubble in it that could burst at any moment. Conclusion: If any of these were to result in an accident while there is a patient on board, there will be a lawsuit. And I yoting my boss under the bus. Respectfully.

Dude, make a paper trail about the times you've warned your boss about it, cover your own ass before you toss that motherfucker underneath that bus

There are at least two different unit check off lists that I've done that report "Service airbag system, Service engine" and every partner I've worked with have all said that they've pointed it out to my boss. Still gonna make sure I CYA though

Either way, my guy, I love my job, I actually really like being in the EMS field even though this first job is just a transport service. But I'm once again in a spot where management is brain dead and I'm more loyal to my coworkers than the company. I'm going to try and stay on for at least 3 to 6 months by if we keep being hours late to patient pick-ups and the units aren't serviced, I'm tempted to leave even sooner. The bizarre scheduling and last minute schedule changes the night before aren't great either.

Yeah, I enjoy it. I'm aiming to get my advanced certifications so I can do more so that's nice.

One of the best stories I have isn't a patient story, but it still makes me chuckle. See, because we have a lot of patients that get picked up late. Like... really late. Because my boss deprioritizes routine (schedule way in advance and are usually the exact same time the exact same day) calls in favor of giving importance to ER and hospital calls. Because they pay more. There is one old man, he's a dialysis patient and just a really chill guy. The first time I picked him up, he's going on to me about how the crew that took him to his dialysis appointment arrived two hours late. As if turns out, this isn't the first time this has happened, it's happened a few times too many. The next time I pick him up to take him to his appointment, we're not only on time, we're half an hour early. The old man mentions in passing how he got onto my boss about how he's always getting picked up late, my boss asked him how he got his personal number, the old man claimed he got the number from a business card one of the crew gave him. A couple days later, I'm working with a my partner and this story comes up. Apparently, my partner is the crew member that gave my bosses personal number to the old guy. It's just... so weird that a patient chewing out my boss over how they're always getting picked up late somehow results in the crew picking him up on time or early. So weird.
