OH I forgot about Quill lore. Right right.

As for the very beginning and whatnot, I haven't really figured that out. He started out as a little pirate, that original group was taken over by another group. This group was pretty okay, not too bad. He ended up as a lookout/scout with another scout. They became buddies.

Cue another pirate raid. This pirate group was less nice. His buddy lowkey Kevin McAllister-ed the captain (but totally bricked him and he ... did not make it through alive). Obviously, the pirates were absolutely ticked off. Quill took the blame because he didn't want his buddy to get hurt.

(This is how he loses his eye and whatnot, won't get too far into that)

anywho, buddy comes walking in and basically betrays him "thanks for the promotion ol' pal" because he became First Mate of the other group.

Quill kinda gets tossed to the side, dabbles in the black market, finds Velyran. Absolutely throws hands with Velyran, starts raiding other pirates and whatnot and gets himself a reputation and name.

He's still searching for that traitor ex-buddy though.

So yeah, I dunno if that helps with any lore for y'all or not. ^^'

It's not entirely clear, I think the loose "lore" is that they just dump him when they reach the next pier/dock

I'm more than happy to have links to anyone's characters and their backstories. Vasilios is 37, so he's been kicking around for a bit. Plenty of times to have run-ins with multiple characters.

I think it'll take a while to cook up something for Vasilios - the only thing I can work out is that he's definitely told everyone a different story about his arms 😭comes up with a new answer on the spot whenever someone asks about it

Some of those stories have been:
Urchin bit them off when they first met.
They randomly fell off in his sleep one day.
It was a freak cooking accident, and he has a permanent fear of bolognese because of it.
Cannibals.
He's actually not human at all, and is all metal, but it only shows on his arms.
Lost them in a bet. [Somewhat believable as he's betted 'Quill's remaining eyeball!' in card games before.]
And so on and so on...

I'd imagine he's been with Quill's crew from pretty early on though! Maybe one of the first few members? :0
