I feel like with 1x1s, not only does the plot have to be something that you're obviously both motivated to invest in and of course like, but trying to drive the plot between two people can be difficuly. Group RPs are obviously different as there are more people within the RP who can do that.

While with group roleplays there are sort of more opportunities for drama I feel like it takes even longer to get to it

either ALL the drama happens in the beginning and it's no longer fun, or it takes too long

Yeah, that's a problem pacing.

I prefer slow-burn anything, especially romance. So yeah :P

i can't do 1x1's just becuase they never work out for me. they feel like a chore after an hour :')
Slow-burn group RPs are the most satisfying thing for me, ecspecially if the drama is evenly mixed in (besides when everyone is in one space and you get to make the shit-show go wild)

hey, I just learned I'm not the only one - I really can't do anything that's not a slow-burn. I think once in a large RP, a character really seemed to work well with my own character, but the other RPer started to force the relationship and then I felt pressured and wanted to back out immediately. The RP died pretty soon after. In one of my current RPs, my own character and another clicked, and it's page 40 something of the RP and our characters aren't really even friends yet , and the slow-burn is wonderful :)

I hate when I'm expecting slow-burn and someone says "he loved her"

I once had someone lose it because I didn't want a relationship. I said my character was OPEN for a slowburn, not needing an already existing partner, and they kept begging in my PMs "please just let them be together please i'll just post he kisses her please" and I said no
and then they said in the RP thread he kissed her and said "how are you, love?"

Also, I need some help -
So I have a character from wilou who is partially robotic canine. Her mind is wired in a robotic manner - she can analyze, think as a normal dog would, etc., but cannot feel emotion besides spurts of feeling when her programming malfunctions. She's somewhat of a villian in the story, but a recent mishap caused serious damage to her programming, and after another planned plot twist, she will be able to somwhat function as a normal dog - emotion (dulled as it may be) and all. (Of course, it's not fully realistic - dog emotion is different than human, but I'm presenting it as human-like emotion for the sake of an RP).

The problem I'm facing is that I'm not quite sure who she is without her program. In the flashes of feeling she currently recieves, all she can really understand is fear. The orginization that controls her is pretty corrupt, and there's quite a bit of rules my character enforces that involve in her killing quite a bit. When she can understand emotion, she thinks herself a coward for following a ruined government (even if not by her will). She most certainly considers herself a monster for the deaths she's inflicted. The catch is that even without functioning programming and orders, she still craves the apathy that it gives her, and wants to be ignorant of the wrong she is doing to avoid pain - she feels lost without rules and order and lack of emotion. So no, she's not just some character that will turn 'good' and fight back - if she does have some sort of shot at redemption, I'm unsure if she'll take it.

But it's difficult for me to figure out who she was before she became a cull (term for the robotic canines of the RP - she started as a full-blooded dog). She's highly intelligent, has a high work rate/work ethic, and is fiercly determined, but that's all I got. Does anyone have any suggestions about what her personality might have been like beforehand? Of course, this is something I could do myself, but input is always much appreciated.
