Lore ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
Life was.. just like every other beginning of some sort of catastrophe, life was simple. It was perfect. Like the good ol' life, hm? And just like every other story, something bad happened. Well kids, this wasn't something just, "bad." This was the god damn apocalypse. ⸻⸻⸻ The plague. The virus. The very well end of the world. Some moronic man of a scientist was combining the DNA of a very well known plague, Black Plague, and along with the virus of 2012, Hibiscus Virus. One, which was devastating, could and nearly ended the human race itself, while the other, Hibiscus Virus, was transported through flowers, soon-after becoming airborne, affecting the animals of 3 countries, nearly destroying the entire wildlife population. No biggie to humans. It would be a grand idea to mix the DNA and.. whatever of possibly the worst two illnesses this world may have ever seen! Humanity had done it again.. however, this time, it was the last. Not soon after the creation of the, Black Hibiscus, { so damn creative, I am just, *chefs kiz* } the human population fell once again into ruins, until the entire population of humanity was wiped from existence. Every bone, sliver of flesh- gone. Why? How did the Black Hibiscus Virus wipe the entire human population within a year? Well, it was no ordinary virus. Some may have referred it to the "zombie" virus, or.. something to that effect. If they were still alive, cough. No, what the BHV { Black Hibiscus Virus } did, was cause a malfunction in part of the human brain, causing loss of memory, and sanity. And once you loose memory, and your sanity, you loose every aspect of humanity and gain the urge to... whats the appropriate word- the urge to kill. However, it too did not take long until the BHV was transferred to the animal kingdom. First, it effected the Apex Predators { they were the first to feast off of the infected human carcasses } and just as you my have imagined, it slowly goes down the foodchain, month by month, day by day. The world slowly crumbles and tears. ⸻⸻⸻ Years go by, herds, prides, packs, animals become afraid- no, mortified. As extinction was higher up on their tails then it ever was before. But- a rumour soon grew to the Northern Plains of America, giving detail of "Salvation." Over the years, animals became more intelligent and more knowledgeable of technology and its uses. No, they cannot and will not use it as did the humans nor will they create it. They are simply.. using what is left of human technology, and using what they can in order to stabilize themselves. And luckly for, the surviving animal kingdom parties- a remote island, built by the humans, away from the Virus { virus is not airborne } away from all the pain, and suffering. There, both predator and prey can live in peace. As there is an entire food supply for the predators for hundreds of years, along for the prey. { fish can not transmit nor contract the virus. lucky bastards. } Now... all you gotta' do, is make the damn journey alive. Roles & Info ⸻⸻⸻⸻ ~~ Sire ~~ The leader. The soul protector. He who leads the herd leads with pride, dignity and protection. He is the father of all new life that grows within the heard, and is everyones, Sire. He may be challenged every autumn for his rank, however, during other seasons, if he is dared to be challenged, it would result in death. { further info below. } ~~ Dame ~~ She who walks alongside the Sire, Dame. She keeps peace within the herd, among the does and bucks, and teaches the offspring when and if she can. The Dame may not be challenged, as she is chosen by the Sire. The Dame may only hold the offspring of the Sire, and the Sire alone. ~~ Second Sire ~~ A buck whom is specifically chosen by the Sire for his courage, strength, blood, and overall worthiness. He may produce offspring only if the Sire approves. ~~ Deputy Dame ~~ Dame's second in command. She too is chosen by the Sire, but not too replace the Dame once she is no more. The Deputy Dame too is to keep peace within the herd, and resembles the same duties as the Dame, but of course, with less power and authority. When the Dame is away, the Deputy may take charge in the Dame's place temporarily. ~~ Herd Doe ~~ The majority of the herd. The true life of it all. Herd Does are important in the herd, to keep the bloodline of the Sire going, keeping it strong and healthy. ~~ Herd Bucks / Stags ~~ Offspring, or bachelors whom have proven themselves worthy to remain in the Sire's herd. They do not get permission to have offpspring with the herd Does, and are permitted to help fend off predators if needed. ~~ Fawns ~~ The offspring.
The pride and joy of the herd. Cherished, loved, and adored by most of the herd. The innocent souls are the future generations, and must be protected at all costs, even if it means risking your own life. If a challenger comes along, and wins the right to hold the rank of, "Sire", they have two choices. Either kill the previous Sire's fawns, or let them stay. ~~ Bacherlors ~~ Just. Lost boys, aha- ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Challenging Seasons: Autumn During Autumn is the most prominent, and most likely the safest of times to challenge or be challenged for the rank of Sire. Young bachelors, old bachelors, if they have the guts for it, may certainly challenge a Sire of a herd, and the current Sire can not decline. And whomever forfeits.. or dies, the last one standing may win. But this is- basically an apocalypse.. so, there may always be changes. Other Seasons During other seasons, it is extremely rare to be challenged, { because it is the legitimate apocalypse and end of life as we possibly know it cough }as during other seasons, to challenge or be challenged, is a death sentence for either yourself, of the competitor. Whether you forfeit, the opposed Stag/Buck can and will chase you down, and kill you. Ranking: Sire - Challenged

Symptoms ⸻⸻⸻⸻ If you are survive in this god for saken world, you better know who is sick and who isn't. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ ~~ White Eyes ~~ Early stage of HBV.
Has been exposed to HBV in the previous 5-10 hours. Cannot transmit. ~~ Limp Body ~~
If limbs are being dragged along the ground { head, legs } or if their limbs seem to be droopy { head, tail, ears, eye lids } they have been affected in the previous 5 hours. ~~ Blood-Shot Red Eyes ~~ Far too gone, already affected.
Has been exposed to HBV for more than 15 hours, and can transmit it. ~~ Smell of Death ~~ If a living creature is walking, breathing and reeks of the smell of death, they have been affected for 30+ hours and have feasted upon some poor soul. If you smell this thing.. run. ~~ Hygiene ~~ Well- if you are basically.. what, memory-loss, and loose the memory as to how to speak, move, care for yourself... you aint shit going to take care of your personal hygiene. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Ok. So I don't know if some people may be confused, but when the HBV hits, it isn't like the normal Memory Loss. This memory loss is like.. the complete extinction of it. You forget how to eat, drink, breathe, walk, run, the whole damn shabang. Thats why some HBV creatures dont survive as they dont know how to breathe and cant comprehend it fast enough. Along with walking, etc. Because of this, they all have a natural insinct { as does everything else- I guess we all have a natural instinct to breathe but uh- not here. } of fear. And out of fear, the affected hosts of HBV just, kill. ⸻⸻⸻ |
