Shadow touched her shoulder with his tail. "We are almost there. Just a little farther." He said before heading through the forest again. He knew that the finish line would be in the small town that was at the edge of the forest. He also knew that he would have to leave her right before they came to the town so no one would see him.

Hail follwoed with the rest of her stregth to get through the forset still in the lead a head off the other dogs and right behind Shadow

Shadow stopped at the edge of the forest panting before saying, "There is the village and the finish line. Go now quickly. I will be here watching." He sat down to watch her cross the finish line.

"thanks" shetoched his sholder with her nose with thanks then raced off and passed the finish line first and layed on the ground very tired and all of the humans where cheering

Shadow watched her pass the finish line first and puffed his chest proud of her. A twig snapped behind him and he jumped out of the way as a bullet went into the ground where he had just been. Scrap, forgot about the hunters. Hunters loved this side of the mountain. Quickly, he made his way through the trees as he heard the hunter shout behind him. Leaping over a log, he circled around the forest before slipping into the village. He could hear the hunter close but he forced himself to stay put behind a dumpster. He let out his breath as the hunter rushed past him. Panting, he slowly made his way back towards the forest before finding that the hunter was talking to the others. The hunters spread out. Oh brother. He stalked into the shadows to wait for them to leave.

Hail walked out of the village and into the woods she walked around in the woods she looked like a wolf because of how ruffled her fur was. Hail herd a gun shot and the bullet landed right next to her she had seen hunters and ran as fast as she could deeper into the woods away from the hunters that were following her

A hunter went by and Shadow darted into the woods. Hearing a gun shot, he raced towards the sound before scenting Hail. Oh great. Then he got an idea. He knew these woods as best as the Pack in the woods. I could lose them at the rock slide. He thought before letting out a howl. He could hear the hunters scrambling to find him and he loped into the woods towards the rocks.

Hail ran past Shadow and jumped over a large rivien making it to the other side and hide behind a large rock panting tirdley and sat down

Shadow jumped over the large riven hiding with Hail. "Probably should have remembered it was wolf hunting season. Sorry about that." He peeked out to see that the hunters were retreating.

"yeah i should of" she said painting "they must of thought that i was a wolf" said Hail peeking from behind the rock
