Kodu nodded. Clearly satisfied with their answer. These two were very interesting to say the least. Clearly there was something between them, whether it was a relationship or history they didn't want to bring up. But he wouldn't pry. If he was in their paws, the last thing he wanted to do was be asked questions. He looked to his mate Floria. She seemed to be staring at the large wounds Kodak had sustained through their journey here, both recent and not. The Alpha Female looked to her mate before saying. "Kodak, if that is your name." Kodak nodded, adding a slight bow. She liked this wolf. He knew how to respect, as must wolves didn't. "I would recommend you see Ana, our medic. She will be able to heal any injury." She scanned the female, who didn't seem to have many if not any at all. "I would also like you to go as well, it's been a long journey, and if you are to be joined my pack, I'd like you to be checked out." She nodded as if the conversation was over, even though she saw a look of disgust cross both of the wolves faces. But they quickly faded, and she acted like she didn't see them. Kodu nodded, seeing that the conversation was over. "You may go visit our medic now." And with that, he dismissed them, watching as Kodak rose and left, Lidiya following. Kodu turned to Floria his eyes narrowing. "What do you think is up with Ana and Kodak, I wasn't the only one to see that was I?" Floria shook her head, and walked to the mouth of the den, looking down on the pack, he eyes drifting towards the medics den. "They seem to have some sort of history, Kodak and Ana. But I don't know what. We should definitely keep an eye out." There she layed down, and watched the pack life scene below her. .. Why did he have to go see her? Now of all times. Of course the Alpha was right, he could see that the large gash seemed to be infected, and if it wasn't treated it would get worse. He could sense the tension as they made their way over to the medics den. Ana still no where in sight. He turned to Lidiya, who seemed to be in thought. "Are you okay?" He asked. "You don't have to go in if you don't want to. But the Alpha is right. I can feel the infection starting to come in." And as he said it, he looked at his cuts and noticed that an white and greenish residue was forming on the wounds. If only the medic could be anyone else. |

Truth be told, Lidiya didn't want to go in at all. Whatever Kodak did with Ana, she didn't want to know. And she didn't miss the way Ana had looked at the two of them earlier. Girl was out for blood, and Lidiya would fight her for it if need be. And Lidiya wanted to... stay closer to Kodak. Just in case, you know. Nothing too deep. Just in case. Nothing special. That was totally not driven out of a need to make sure Ana didn't do anything to Kodak.
"I'll go in with you. You heard what Alpha Kodu said, she's required to take a look at me too." Despite she really didn't want to, she... also really wanted to, to make sure Ana didnt do anything to Kodak. What a conundrum. And the "looking out for Kodak" part had definitely won the tug-of-war here. Simply looking out for Kodak. Nothing more. Right? |

Kodak definitely did not want to go into the medic den with Ana. He knew her better than probably anyone, and he knew she wouldn't put up with the Kodak and Lidiya thing. But Kodak's body protested, and with Lidiya's company he went in. Ana looked surprised when he walked in. Kodak muttered, "Alpha's orders. Both of us need to be checked out." He could see her eyes widened when she noticed his cuts and gashes, and exclaimed, "Oh, Kodak, you're hurt!" And rushed to his side, acting as if he was crippled and led her to the nearest bed. Kodak turned his head and looked at Lidiya, a clearly disgusted/annoyed look on his face, but he laid down in the bed anyway. "Don't worry Kodak, I have the best remedies in store for you!" Ana grabbed a couple different herbs, cobwebs, and seeds, and brought them over to his sides. She began to chew on marigold leaves and mint, then slowly applying it two his wounds. Kodak closed his eyes, not because of her touch (even if he did partially enjoy it), but because of the chilling of the herbs as they were placed on his gash. It was deeper than he thought. She then applied cobwebs, which drew the skin back together, and then proceeded to do the rest of his wounds like this. She then went to his throat, which was worse than he thought, then she did his shoulders, hunches, and face. He had to admit, she was a damn good medic. As it was almost like he could feel himself Healing and gaining energy already. He ate the poppy seeds she gave him to ease the pain, and then she turned to Lidiya. And all Kodak could think was that this was gonna be fun. ... Ana finished with Kodak, prolonging the process as she did so. They wouldn't notice of course, as only medics would. She could have finished within five minutes, but she enjoyed the faces that other wolf had every time she touched him. Ana's Kodak, not hers. But she knew she still had to tend to her injuries, which was only a few cuts and bruises, not at all like the wounds Kodak had gotten. Her brave Kodak. But she quickly treated them, even though their wasn't that much to treat, she must have done it in record time. "Well that should be all, Lilly." She said, purposely getting the name wrong, knowing she would tick a nerve. She then turned to Kodak. "I recommend you stay the night here." Than she turned back to Lidiya, "but you seem okay, so you can go back to your den." She said that with a smile, knowing Kodak wouldn't see her as she did it. |

Lidiya was forced to sit in a corner like a naughty girl for the best part of half an hour like she was a pup and had done something naughty again. That had definitely sufficiently ticked her off - if she hadn't had to watch Ana fuss over Kodak like he was going to die at any second. Patience is a virtue, and Lidiya had none of it. Did Ana mean to piss her off? Probably. Was she playing into her hands by being pissed. Most likely. Did she care, though? Absolutely not. She was sufficiently pissed off by the time Ana had finished that she barely even considered it before shaking her head. "No, I think I'm fine staying here." Ana wanted a game? She'd get a game. Standing up, she made her way over to where Kodak was, and sat near him - purpousefully. She'd come in here to make sure Ana didn't do anything to Kodak, and by the gods she'd uphold it. She was just stubborn in that way, after all. "I'd prefer to stay with Kodak, really," she amitted faux-sheepishly. Like she was shy about telling the she-wolf to piss off. "Kodak and I, we've... quite recently, of course -" unashamedly pulling the you've been absent for the past two years card, "- been protecting each other of recently. Much more so with us being on the run, and... you know..." now Lidiya was truly awkward, unlike earlier. "... my heat." She looked up at Ana. "Kodak's been helping with that too." Let her think whatever she wanted from that statement! Even though mainly implied that just he'd chased off a bunch of potential suitors, Ana could think whatever she wanted of it and she had zero regrets. "So... I'd feel more comfortable... being right here, if that's alright." Even though she wasn't asking permission at all. "The den that they allocated to us... I wouldn't feel comfortable alone in case someone decided to take advantage of the night with me." Partial truth, but now she had to see how Ana would respond. Like she'd thought earlier, if Ana wanted a game, she'd get a game. |

Kodak knew exactly what Lidiya was doing, and it was hilarious the look on Ana's face as she said it. What she had implied. Most males would just sit around and watch the drama take place, he used to be one of those males. But after everything Ana had done, all that she put him through, he was going to take this moment to his advantage. He looked over at Ana as he stood, "She has a point after all he said, taking the few steps that it took to get to Lidiya, he had become accustom to her scent, and of course the regular emotions surged through them, but as he had been doing, he stuffed stuffed down. He walked over to Lidiya, gently rubbing his neck against her. Wishing he could see the face Ana was making at that moment. "Play along" He whispered quietly, so only Lidiya could hear. He was pretty sure she already knew what he was doing. The way to get Ana off of their tails Hopefully forever. Even though he closed his eyes as they touched, he wished it was real. Lidiya was only trying to piss Ana off, nothing more. But as he felt that static surge through him from her touched. He wished that one day they would be real. |

Lidiya would have "played along" even if Kodak hadn't told her to, if she was being completely honest with herself. However, she rarely wanted to be honest with herself, so she told herself that she was just playing along. And that it didn't mean anything. Somewhat preening that it was Kodak doing this of his own free will, not because she was in heat or anything, and choosing her over Ana, she leaned into his touch, and turned her head to rest on Kodak's side. If only he hadn't said to play along, she could imagine this was real. Even if it was, though... she'd probably still be a bit scared. At least she could enjoy it right now while it lasted. |

Ana's eyes widened in shock. How could he do this to her? After she protected him in the first place? Ugh. She gave a growl, and walked over to her herbs. "Kodak, you know what? I think you'll be okay." She said in her regular voice, tifing up the herbs in the corner, trying to keep anger out of her voice. "You can stay the night in your den. But you'll need to come to me in the morning," as she said this, she turned and rested her blue eyes on Lidiya and Kodak, but mostly Lidiya, attempting to unsee what she was seeing. "Alone." She finished the sentence with authority, and as she turned back to the herbs, gave a smug smile. Once she finished, she took three poppy seeds and brought them over to Kodak, after wrapping it in an oak leaf. "Take one everytime you wake up in the night and experience pain. And if you need anything." She paused, looking into the golden gaze she so loved, "I'll be right here." And before Kodak could even react, she locked his muzzle, knowing it was the last thing she could do at this moment, to tick the female off .. Kodak, reared back as she licked his muzzle, trying to get her to stay away from him, and accidently shoving Lidiya into the cave wall. He quickly turned, his back to Ana, and looked couched down slightly, "Lidiya, are you okay?" He asked. "It was an accident I'm sorry." His ears pinned for a moment, but in his head he wished she could keep her head on his shoulder. Because he seemed to get cold as she left his body. He knew now for sure, after seeing Ana again. That he may be in love with Lidiya. The only problem was that he didn't know how she felt. |

Lidiya nodded, more concerned about Ana licking Kodak than Kodak accidentally shoving her against a wall. Kodak she could forgive. Ana... less so. "I'm fine," she said, picking herself up. All traces of animosity on her face were gone as she played her next card in the game Ana seemed to want so much. "Thank you so much for this," she said with what she hoped was a smile and not a vicious baring of her teeth at her opponent. At the moment, she couldn't tell that well. "Kodak should be fine by tomorrow, though. Really, we only came here because Kodu asked us to. He'll be fine." She looked up at Kodak before standing up and beginning to walk away. "Well, I guess we should probably get going. I don't think either of us want to impose on your hospitality any longer than you'd like. Kodak, let's go." That felt weird, saying that to Kodak. But she had to anyway, else her little charade wouldn't work out. Without looking back at Ana - purpousely this time - she walked out of the medic's den, tail swishing as she got back out into the bright light. |

He could tell she wasn't fine. But he could talk to her once they got back to the den. Kodak could tell she gave a forced smile, but he could tell it wasn't sincere. Did she get jealous when she was around him? If so, then she might have feelings for him. And that he liked. He was surprised at the order she gave him when she turned and left. At that he smiled, and without looking back at Ana followed Lidiya out of the den. But for some reason, he kinda liked it when she bossed him around. Maybe it was just because she was in heat. He personally did care though. Lidiya had quickly made her way back to their den, and Kodak had to run at a trot to catch up. By the time he caught up, she was back into the den. He followed her inside, and quickly went over to try and talk tk her. "Lidiya, are you okay?" He asked, sitting down not close but not far away either. "And not just about the wall, but about the other thing too." Hebsais the words in comfort, but hoping that she would tell him too. |
