Feo had a rather strong grip on his hand still as Lucius dragged himself to a sense of more consciousness than he previously had. His hand pushed through golden blond hair, stifling a yawn again as he blinked free the cobwebs of sleep.
At the last, Feo was still awake. Which was not entirely surprising but a little disappointing for Lucius at the least. He had hoped that Feo would get some rest on the flight to Kansas but, as it turned out, that was perhaps a hope that was made in slight vain. Not that he really understood why nor did he think he was smart enough to understand why.
But that was fine. He'd be fine. It was all fine.
Lucius leaned back again, stretching out a little bit before settling down again. Granted he wasn't sure how long he had been out for but it seemed like others were getting ready for a landing. Which was fantastic. That was exactly what he had hoped would happen. Get on the plane, take off, fall asleep, land.
Less waiting, no real need for patience or anything. Just sleep.
Lucius's sapphire eyes flicked to the window, noting the lack of anything. There was a city at the least but outside of that? Fields. Just straight up fields.
Lucius gave Feo a rather lopsided smile as he turned from window to demigod. "Ready for the nothingness that is Kansas?" He let out a weary chuckle and shook his head. "It'll probably be a lot more driving and riding in a car. The supposed artifact was in one of three cities and their respective museums.
A part of Lucius really hoped that they wouldn't have it on display and rather have the Cestus tucked into the back of the storage room.
Luckily, they were landing in Hutchinson. One of the cities that potentially had something was Hutchinson. The next was Garden City, which was nowhere near the place they needed to go. But just north of that, in Scott City was also another potential spot for the Cestus to show up. Was he prepared to absolutely spend a lot of money on the Cestus? Oh he was. But he was also prepared to use that demigod flashy charm that he had. It was a lot of ifs and relied heavily on godly charm but he figured he had it. It wouldn't be that hard.
What would be, in the meantime, was finding a hotel and potentially convincing Feo to stay there while he went to find the Cestus. As much as Lucius enjoyed having an adventure buddy... he was realizing there was a reason that he often traveled alone.
Not that Feo was bad at all but Lucius didn't often plan details ahead of time. They usually rested and waited on another point of events happening or not happening. It was all so fluid, so loose, anything could change and anything could happen. He could just suddenly move and do something entirely different. Which was easy to do on his own--but having to try and communicate that to someone else? That was where it became difficult.
