Eli sighed and wonders what was wrong with her then other things fills his mind the kiss what did that meant he didn't want to lose her or her friendship he can't be a mate with her he would ruin that what was he thinking but if he tell her what was wrong it would hurt her even more

Lucy walked back to where Eli was, "Hey, I'm back." she said trying not to look at him and blush. "Its getting dark out..." Lucy walked over to where he was propt up on a tree, she sat down next you him and looked up at him, "You okay? You know you cane tell me anything...we have been freinds since we were four.".

Eli said " yeah just worrying about you and that won't change " as he smiles at her it was more then that it was that he couldn't tell her about what he was thinking at all he was scared

Lucy smiled back at him and then turned her head, something didnt feel right...what Eli was telling her...she didnt know if it was true or not. She wanted to trust him but she couldnt trust him if he was lieing. Lucy spun her head around, "What is it really? Please tell me, I might be able to help!".

Eli sighed and said "I don't think this is going to work out as well but I don't want to hurt you Lucy your my friend my best friend and being together would probably ruin it I can't watch you get hurt "

"Wha-" Lucy was shocked, she had never imagined him being able to hurt her. "But we have been together for such a long time! I dont know why now has to change!" Lucy looked down, noticing her arm growing fur. " Eli, I really like you, what do you mean hurt me? How could you hurt me?!" this was frustrating her.

Eli sighed and said " hurt you by not being a good mate to you not being about to protect you and the kids if you want any " Eli place his hands on his face and closed his eyes then said " I am sorry I don't mean this "

Lucys eyes widened at Eli mentioning kids, she blushed. "Eli, its fine dont worry, please. Its not good for you, expecioally in this state. Just rest, we can talk about it tommorow.". Lucy soon fell asleep, she was laying her head on his shoulder, she couldnt feel more safe with him.

Eli sighed how could he sleep now when he was worried about her not liking him again Eli watches the sky before lays his head on hers hoping to keep her safe from anything dangerous

The next morning Lucy woke up, her head was still on Eli's shoulder. As she yawned and streched she said, "Morning, how did you sleep?" she looked up into Eli's eyes.
