I jumped as Luna strolled over to me. She looked quizzical, but I don't remember what from. Did she ask me a question? I might've not heard it. "Uhm. Yes, Luna?" Luna glanced at me again, her eyes making me shiver. "Aekkiaros, I just asked you a question." Alright, confirmed. "Are you okay?"
"I'm just fine," I answered a little too quickly.
She gave me that look again, and I pushed my ears back in annoyance, curiosity, and mistrust. "Are you sure--"
"Yes! Sorry, I've got to go, now, see you," Luna's eyes boring onto my pelt as I trotted away, making my back hot. What was that about?
A low howl that increased into a sad one reached my ears. I knew who it was right away. I sprinted toward it, afraid Nightingale was dying. I'm not ready. I didn't sign up to be the leader. Nightingale will not die.
.
"Nightingale!" I screamed. As I ran, wolves--I don't know who--poked their heads out of their dens and looked fearful and curious. I reached the alphas' den, glanced in, realized my alpha wasn't there, and went behind it, sniffing everything for a little trace of her sweet scent. "Nightingale!" I gasped. She was on her side, the saddest time I've ever seen her like. "Are you OK? What happened? Are you hurt? What's wrong? Did someone injure you?--"
"Aekkiaros! What are you doing here?" She demanded.
.
(Moonnightshade, Luna is supposed to creep Aekkiaros out, so it's not that I don't want Aekkiaros socializing with her.)
(Bobcat, I think Nightingale is angry because Aekkiaros is very smart and can figure this out in no time, so Nightingale is upset)
