Flux de Angelis | Cook / Inventor | Mentions: Dallas, Shai (dir.) Yutaka (indir.)
A short snort of laughter came from the back of Flux’s throat. “Weird robotic thing.” He huffed out before shaking his head. “You should really know more about the tech we use, Toffie.” If Dallas was going to use silly names for him then he would give it back in return. Well, at least his name for Dallas was a little sentimental. When they had first encountered each other, Flux had been making desserts as a welcoming gift to himself and the crew to take him on board. Even if Vas was a little…cagey about his arrival, they soon warmed up to each other.
He had made toffees and other assorted sweets, but Dallas had been practically glued to that tray of toffees. That and his hair was a rather similar shade to those caramelised toffees. Flux still made them every so often, always poking fun as Dallas when he served them.
“We’re getting weird robotic things. For that arm I’m tinkering with, I need a polar connection system inlet, if you really want to know. I think Yutaka is going, we might bump into him, but I doubt he’ll notice us. He gets tunnel visioned at the trade post, too much tech to look at.” Flux gave a small snicker to his own comment just as Shai slipped up beside him and wriggled an arm around his own, drawing his eyes down to Shai instead of the intense look he had been giving Dallas.
“I need someone to fly me there on a dragon, sometimes those beasts are helpful. But I can’t be bothered having my own, too much chance for being flung into walls and the like.” Flux peeked over at Dallas, smirking before moving his other hand to clasp onto Shai’s forearm.
“The more merrier, I say.” With that he flashed a wide grin, cocking his head to the side. “What d’ya say, Toffie? Come and have some fun or hide from Vas for the rest of the day.” Flux couldn’t help adding on that last part and the emphasis on the name, he knew once Vas had settled whatever chaos he was dealing with he’d hunt down Dallas. Muttering about how he had slipped away, refusing treatment. Flux had quickly learned that he never wanted to cross Vas, even in the lightest of situations. He was very obedient to whatever Vas said, maybe it was a smidge of fear but for the most part it was respect. Maybe more fear than he would like to admit.
