Frost flicked her ear, staring after Inti as he left, the unconfortable question still in her mind.

'"Another pup?" More like too many.. Sometimes it even seems like just one of every three pups survives until adulthood-'

The adolescent shook her head, as if to chase away the thoughts. She too had littermates before, though they were all gone now. She turned to look down at Sirius.

"come on, let's get going." The young she-wolf said quietly in a soft voice, though her eyes were still clouded with memory

Dawn followed the bear smell and as she reached the area she smelled bear cubs. She looked around for a den but didn't see one. She looked at her partner and said "Do you smell bear cubs?"

Sirius looked at Frost. "Um...Frost? What happened?" She didn't want to be intrusive, but she wanted to know. If she's sad, I could help. Does she need friends? I could be her friend. I look up to her much more than I look up to Mommy. She's my hero.

There was the lake. Inti timidly approached until finally, his reflection appeared. "Woah!!!"

Sirius stared. "Kill? Isn't it their forest too?" And Aspen. I like Aspen. Maybe I can have two friends. The more the merrier.

Sirius looked at Aspen, her respect for the wolf growing. She thinks like me. I wonder if she likes me, or if she thinks I'm annoying. She knew plenty of wolves thought she was annoying, but she couldn't help it.

Frost shook her head, as if to clear her head.

"it's nothing, just a distant memory" she replied, not looking at Sirius.

"We should really head back to camp. We wouldn't want to be caught in the crossfire if a fight happens, especially if the bear has cubs. Mama bears would do anything to protect their young"

Sirius stared more a Frost. "I think you need a hug."

She snuggled her.
