As Evan approached the tent, he noticed it was emptier than the inn. Was everyone out on a quest? He mumbled a greeting and began looking through the quest lists, immediately striking anything that strayed too far from town. If the locals say something's dangerous, it's dangerous. And Torka was adament that Glowmire was the only safe place. Something caught his eye and he opened his mouth to speak but hestitated. Yew was it? Or maybe Yore? Yip? He didn't know. Changing course, he said, "Sea bass, sharks... What kind of things live here? Other things. In the sea, I mean." |

Yew looked over at you at the mention of fish, and the lithe cat jumped up onto the counter to face you as his siblings went about tasks behind him. "There's a lot of fish in the oceans around here! Pretty much anything you can catch off the beach where you came from. But here we have to worry about Sea Mites, a little bug that lives its larval stage out in the sea, then jumps to a land creature to live out the rest of its life. But theyll make you very itchy. Also no one will eat the glowing fish." He explained, before pulling a fishing rod off the wall. "If you'd like to take this and see what you can catch. I'll take your Sea Bass. I think Torka was looking for sharks, and she'll make a meal for you of anything else you catch." He promised, before pointing to another tent in the square. "Scout over at the Forge will have some bait for you to buy." |

Evan took the rod in his right paw and turned it over. He had been skeptical about catching sharks, but this felt sturdy, reliable. He listened to Yew and nodded. "Thanks. I-I think I'll head over there now" He said and headed into the square. |

"Hey, I got that sea bass you were looking for" Evan poked his head into the tent, seeing not much if anything had changed since he'd left. He pulled the sea bass from the rest of his things as he entered. |

Yew looked over to you and gasped happily. Grabbing the bass and putting your pinecones on the table. "Thanks! I was hungry!" -You've earned 30 pinecones!- |

Evan nodded, but his eye flickered back to the quest list, a couple words at the edge of his vision catching his attention. "Lost journals? Whose? Other adventurers?" |

Yew nodded and sighed, pulling an old box onto the counter. "Ive gathered a couple of them together already, but I know there have to be so many more... Faelan, Joov and Java, even Tinjar were all writers. And scientists at that! They wanted to know what was happening to us..." He smiled at you a blushed a little, before putting the box away and shaking his head, rubbing the back of his neck with a paw. "It's just a silly hyperfixation I have... but if you see one, I'll pay you well for it!" He promised |
