I woke up in the morning. Ace and the pups were still asleep, so I crept out silently. I had a small snack of rabbit from the food stash and spotted the others passed out in their respective caves. I sat down my the cave entrance and watched the sun rise. The sunlight shone over the trees and lakes.

I smiled as a slight breeze hit me. What a refreshing start to the day. I can't believe it's only been a few days since the whole disaster thing. It feels like ages ago.

I yawn and lay down in the entrance, watching the early morning happenings around me.

I yawn and stretch. I must have fallen asleep on watch. I move to the stream and drink my fill. Picking up the grass I dropped yesterday, I make my way inside. Laying it down, I curl up on it.

I wake up walking towards Selene." Hey sweet devil." I chuckle at the new nickname I gave her and lay down beside her nuzzling her fur." When did you wake up? I don't think it was to long ago." I smile and put my head on my paws

I smile at him and lick his head. "just woke up" I say, "are the pups still asleep? hey I'm a bit curious! what pups are they? like... what species? I haven't met many animals before" I say

"Yeah they still sleeping surprisingly. I wouldn't know exactly but I suspect their grey wolves." I say laying don keeping a eye on the den to see if they've open up yet

I glance around and spot Aca and Selene off in the cave entrance. I move to lay near their pups. Keeping an eye on them seems to be more important than sleeping. I start to drift off but wake myself. A pain strikes my stomach again. I moans, but it leaves as quickly as it comes.

"Alright" I say and stand up. I go over to the river and drink some water. I glance in at the pups to see if they're awake and then head back to Ace. "Sometimes I wonder if there are other survivors around the world. Do you ever miss you family?" I ask him. "My mother abandoned me as a Kit but I always missed her. I used to wish she was still alive but then I gave up hoping. I became angry at her for leaving me. I had a brother, you know. He died. Humans ran him over with their large machines." I say thinking about my little brother.

"Did you have any family?" I ask.

He woke up, outside his den, with dew sparkling wetly on his fur. "Wha-" he rolled into the creek. "Ack!" He yelped, dancing around in the cold water. "Ew!" He leapt out, shaking off his bright white paws, and sighed, remembering last night. He must have fallen asleep, and, tired from the night before, stayed asleep. He wondered where the rest of his family was.

I look as she starts o get some water and I walk over to the pups." Thanks for watching them for us Night." I nuzzle her head and lay down by the pups before they topple me over." Yeah I have family my owners didn't care about me and my brother is Sparrow."
