Alma hefted the stone up and onto its side, tilting her head for a moment. "Oh fantastic," she grumbled dryly. Somewhere in the mess of many, many insects... was probably Onas.

"If you see a scorpion, grab it," she muttered, starting to piece through the swirling mass of angry insects. Alma was less worried about getting bit or anything. She'd survive. Probably. Centipedes, spiders and the likes were tossed to the side, a couple of angry beetles were also tossed out of the swirling mass of insects.

"Onas, I know you're in here. It's time to come back," she grumbled, sifting through the dirt.

Xevon's feathers fluttered, shuffling back and forth before they settled against his back. His shoulders squared slightly as he landed behind Callisto.

"I'm not quite sure. It is something, I hope it is Renissa, but I don't know for certain if it is or is not," the winged soldier responded, taking Callisto's hand in his own.

Rather than leave him there, Xevon pulled him close. For a brief moment, he paused. He... he was so close. His solid presence firm and guiding, even if it wasn't large.

He pushed the thoughts away, spreading his wings once again. One arm wrapped around Callisto's waist, securing the pale man to his side as he took off into the air, sweeping over the hillsides and toward the drifting mist.

Or.. what looked like mist. He hoped.

He hoped he could find it again. There was something. He just wasn't sure what it was.

Alma shook her head lightly. "That's my question too. All of the gods were like that, they all had this sort of animal or insect--other form of sorts. I thought it was rather cliche and kind of dumb. I still do, just a bit, because look at where we are. Fishing for Onas... in this."

She shook her head lightly. "Onas said that the scorpion was the best. It was a potent fighter, with armor and the likes."

She tossed another beetle out.

"I warned him that it could be used against him. The same armor he used to charge into battle with, could be his prison. We... well, we see how well he listened."

Her eyes scanned over the mass of tiny crawlies.

"Somewhere in here... there's a red and gold scorpion."

Xevon took in a deep breath, sifting through the air. What... what had he seen? He had seen a mist of sorts on the hillside, where had it gone?

His eyes flicked down at the pale young man for a brief moment before swirling in to land.

Callisto looked... terrified and out of place. His tight grip was only adding to the fear that Xevon had picked up on.

"I'm so sorry," Xevon said quickly, setting Callisto down on his feet. "I should've warned you or asked or something, that was... was really rude of me."
