Ruby nodded excitedly, she noticed that she was making Klaus a little uncomfortable again and took a deep breath and nodded once more using less jerky movements. Her mouth seemed to water at the mention of raspberry. "Oh that's quite alright, I don't mind if it's cake. Although I don't believe I have had cake before." She stops to ponder it a moment before shaking her head. "Oh yes I have! How silly of me." She gave a small giggle looking from Klaus to Althaea.

Klaus picks up on Althea's nervousness and gives her an understanding and sympathetic look. They wish that they knew how to help but being as they haven't known her that long there isn't much they can do.

"Oh? What kind of cake was it?" They ask Ruby.

They think back for a moment to the first cake they ever had. Hopefully there will be cake pops of that flavor at the shop today.

"Straw-strawberries?" Althaea asks as she quickly gets to her feet, "we should hurry. After all, strawberry cake is a top tier cake, fruit, really anything! I'm sure they will run out if do not take immediate action!"

She puffs out her chest trying to look as regal as possible. Her worries temporarily forgotten as she trots about rather dramatically.

"Mmm I wonder if there will be whipped cream," Althaea momentarily drifting off into her thoughts aloud.

Klaus makes a soft, happy, snorting sound as they observe Althea's excitement.

"Whipped cream? Um... no. I don't think he usually uses that. Buttercream though... that's something he does use." Their tail starts waging at the thought of the rich, sickly sweet frosting. "We should get going. My favorite flavor usually goes pretty quick too."

They get up and look at the other two, waiting for them to follow. It feels weird going somewhere without their human or one of the other Sugarwings from their den. Oh well. There are always other days for that.

Klaus' happy sounds bring Althaea back from yummy thoughts of sugary things. Her wings flutter a bit in shock.

"What? Has he never made strawberry shortcake? Hmph," she tries to think back to all the types of frosting she has ever tasted and realizes that it hasn't actually been that much. With a new enthusiasm Althaea states, "I'm glad you're in agreement Klaus! We must make haste. Although, miss Ruby you should travel between us for safety."

Althaea moves to the side of Klaus leaving space for the whisk. Tail weaving back and forth in excitement.

Ruby thought a moment and replied "Chocolate. Chocoalte cake was the first I ever tasted but it had a strawberry taste too." She watched and studied Althaea strut around and puff out her ches,t trying to look regal, at the mention of strawberry from Klaus and smiled. She nodded in quick succession bounding over to walk between the two. "Thank you for inviting me." She gave a smile and puffed her chest like Althaea had trying to act more like a grown sugarwing than a whisk to help ease Klauses discomfort at her young actions.

"We're going Laura!" Rose yelled behind her, the last one out the door, and with a smirk plastered on her face, "oh well, your loss."

"Hey. You don't need to be rude, if she doesn't want to join us she doesn't have to." Kajura scolded her.

Rose didn't respond, rather she just stuck her head up in the air, too proud for her own doing, and took the lead allowing the others to fall in behind her. As they ventured further from the house the small flock made their way along the street, it'd been a while since they'd taken themselves for a walk, their person, Genie, was out doing whatever it is she was doing.

As they trotted along their claws tapped the concrete and Taskoe's bell rhythmically dinged with each movement of his gate. He stuck close to Kajura, or Kaz was her nickname, he liked to make sure that if he stuck out his wing a little he'd be able to feel her, he knew she's always protect him no matter what.

Behind them the Suga, Cala and Brana followed. Cala and Brana made conversation about how nice the sky was, it was just beginning to get its orange glows, almost time for the sun to begin setting. Suga made her way along beside them, her eyes glanced over anything that caught her attention, she remembered what it was like to be on the street, at first she was petrified when she got caught, most of the humans that had interacted with her would scold, or kick or chase, seldom were they nice.

Whilst looking around she spotted a group of three other sugar wings. Slowing to a stop she watched them for a moment, "guys wait up, look there's another flock. Let's go say hi." She said, excitement more than evident in her voice as she took off running to meet them.

"Hey!" Rose called turning to follow her the rest of the group in tow, "we don't know them, they could hurt us. Suga stop!"

Ruby was the first of their group to notice the call. A simple 'Hey!' Her head whipped in the direction of the call and she saw another one running towards them. Taking a couple hops away from her safety spot between Althaea and Klaus she came to a stop puffing out her chest and holding her head high trying to make herself look bigger than she actually was. She didn't know this new comer that was racing toward her and her new friends, and although being just a whisk yet she was determined to protect her new friends. She called back. "Hello! I'm Ruby." In addition she stretched out her wings expanding them to their fullest length, which unfortunately wasn't very long as again she was still just a whisk.

"I think he tried once but didn't think it turned out that well or something. I don't know. He sounded and looked really frustrated." Klaus tells Althea with a little fluff of their feathers. "Humans are odd like that."

The blue cake pop Sugarwing looks over at Ruby and tilts their head, amused by her attempt to seem more mature.

"Chocolate seems like a pretty far flavor from rhubarb." They remark, still able to catch a faint buts tart scent of the rhubarb pie the whisk had earlier. "What made you decide to try it?"

They haven't had very many pies in their life aside from the ocasional chocolate or butterscotch ones. Fruit pies just aren't their thing. So they are having trouble understanding how one Sugarwing could like two things that seem so... opposite to one another.

Klaus gets distracted from their original train of thought as they see another cup of Sugarwings running over to their small group of three. Uh oh. Hopefully they mean well. Just in case though the maned male puts themself in front of the smaller females.

"Hi," Suga called to the young one, "I'm Suga." She gave a large smile as Rose came up beside her and offered her a nasty glare.

"You do as I say Suga, now let's go." Rose half snarled at her trying to get her back on their route to the bakery.

"Whatever," she sneered back and returned her attention back to Ruby, "It's lovely to meet you, sorry about Rose, she likes to be in control." The rest of the group had just caught up, "These are my flock, Laura stayed home though but the one with the bell is Taskoe, beside him is Kajura, Kaz for short. Brown and red is Cala and yellow and brown is Brana. Everyone meet Ruby and..." She trailed off realizing she didn't know Ruby's friend's names yet.
