my cat was drooling like a dog the other week because his dumbass licked flea medicine off of his sister. it's not toxic but tastes terrible and makes them drool xD

it could be a lot of things. they could have ingested something toxic, have a dental disease, distemper, etc. would be best to call someone and get the cats taken in.

Yeah I’ve heard about a coyote with rabies since I moved to where I am now, and I haven’t been here for long. I probably should’ve worried more about how that stray cat was acting now that I think about it

it's a few cases a year but not common. I do alot in the rescue world and with native wildlife. being cats and strays it's almost certain they have FLV,FAIDS,ect..

If there’s a chance of rabies, it’s not just good to call someone who can deal with it, it’s important to do so to prevent it from spreading. Hopefully someone that will put it in quarantine and watch for more symptoms instead of dealing with it in other ways

Yeah, wasn't rabies (mostly) eradicated in the US? I dunno, the wet mouth just automatically sent me there.

distemper can do that. so can FLV. it's more likely to be those than rabies but AC needs called so they can be humanely euthed

I'm tired don't judge the title.

So I put together this thing some time ago (this is mine no touchy):

Essentially, this is a psychic dog. If it touches you with the marbles on its feelers, it can transfer its thoughts into you. If it's strong enough, it will make you do their bidding.

But I have no idea what to do for a puppy-version of it. I've thought of using lineart, but I also can't really draw, so line edits are difficult.

Even if I do end up using lineart, I have no idea how I would make those feelers more "puppy-like".

I guess my question is: how would you design its puppy form? Or if you don't know, do you at least have any ideas for the feelers?

Maybe no spikes on its chest and no of the two viney things at the back, maybe some different markings? different tail style?

Definitely none of the spikes; those develop over time.
But the feelers are their primary way to communicate, hence why I'm not sure how to draw them

I would make the feelers shorter and thicker. A lot less like snakes and a little more like.. Octopus tentacles?
I can't think of a word to describe it.
I also believe it would be less sharp and more rounded, as that's what happens to most younger versions of creatures.
I really can't type today.

How about to make it look like a short version of one of those things deep sea fish have? That bulb that shines and attracts prey-dunno the correct name. So like one feeler instead of two, just like a cutesy antena and it is not going towards people, but rather puppy cuteness and curious cuddles make it so people touch it acciedentally or something. And that singular antea could grow and split later.
