Feng|F|pup|M: Silence
Feng felt herself smile when Silence reached out to her with her paw. She felt her worries wash away. Keanu might not be there as much anymore, but at least she had Silence and Skylark. Feng felt herself being glad for Skylark to have some alone time and ivsiting the Bridge of Land and Water later. As much as she wanted to go, she knew that she didn't have the energy.

Lycus | Juvenile | Mentions: Enigma (ind)
Lycus sat and listened to the Alpha's orders for the day. He wasn't to upset with his group. He hadn't had much interaction with Enigma in the past, but she seemed like a nice enough wolf. Her father didn't seem all bad either. He rather enjoyed hunting, the serenity it brought.
When Inclementia finished speaking, Lycus stayed were he was, waiting to observe what the others did first. His ears pivoted towards Enigma and her father when he heard his name. He tried to not look too suspicious as he tried to catch their conversation, but soon felt guilty for eavesdropping and turned his attention away from them, waiting to head out.

Silence | F | Pack member | M: Feng, Skylark
Internally, Silence sighed with relief. Hopefully she'd managed to reassure both Feng and Skylark. After this hunting patrol, she'd be free to spend some time with her pups, and although she never looked forward to these moments, she never regretted them, either. Silence herself had never wanted pups, but the pack members had pressured her into doing so - and it was fair to say that she didn't regret it. Sometimes, when she thought about it all over again, Silence admitted that she enjoyed having children way more than she'd dreaded the extra responsibilities.
"Both of you make sure that you don't tire yourselves out, even when we're hunting," Silence advised. "If you don't want to go to the Bridge, we can go somewhere else, or we can just stay in camp. And if you're scared to go to the Bridge, don't worry - I know there are plenty of horror stories about that place, but as far as I know, the path to the cave itself is perfectly safe, and if you'd like to explore the other cliffs, you'll be fine as long as you're not trying to get yourself injured." She gave them a wolfish grin. "Got it?"

Distance/Mullein | M | Pup | M: Open

There were certain scents that Distance had never been able to identify. His sense of smell definitely wasn't his strongest forte, after all, which meant that he was prone to forgetting what certain objects or wolves smelled like.
There were, however, a few scents that he would never forget. One was the sharp metallic smell in that river.
The other was a smooth and soothing, wrapping him in a protective embrace. Usually, such strong scents would cause Distance to freeze and panic, but this one... this one was unique.
"Mullein? Are you okay? I know what you saw was scary..."
Distance almost didn't know how to respond. Azalea had found him much faster than he'd expected, but perhaps that was because he hadn't actively tried to run away from her.
Are you okay? That question... how was he supposed to answer that?
And besides that, now what was he supposed to do? He'd seen the head of a wolf, ran away to a potentially dangerous area of the territory, caused Azalea to chase after him, and now he was panicking for no reason. Why? Why did he do what he did?
"May I come closer?" Azalea asked.
Distance was once again thrown into a mental whirlpool. Should he allow his mother to come closer? Did he need extra space for himself? What did he need this space for? What was he doing here, of all places? Why did -
He suddenly noticed how tense he was. He inhaled sharply, then exhaled. It was either Azalea or Fracture who taught him that breathing was good for calming himself down, especially when he was panicking or feeling confused.
Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale.
"I... guess you can come closer," Distance replied, turning around slightly to face her. "If you want," he added quietly.

Ash | M| Pack Member| Mentions: Cascade (dir), Aspen (Indi)

Ash let out a soft sight as he awaited the alphas to give the clear to start the day and begin the training. He slumped on the grass before looking as the juvenile Cascade had made their way over time him and he gave a small smile although he didn't really want to be training pups and would rather have been out on the main hunting patrol but beggers can't be choosers so he simply had to make due. Ash flicked his ear as she asked if they'd be heading off on their training assignment for the day and it pained him to have to retrain himself from just deciding to leave mid announcements to start the day even though he dreaded having to lounge there waiting for permission to start the day when he had already been given his tasks for the day. Personally it made no sense to him that they weren't able to dismiss until given permission to do so but he wasn't about to end up like the less fortunate wolves who had dare spoken out and who were now deemed omegas for the day.
~~~~
Ash looked to the young one lightly "Not quite yet we still have to wait for Aspen to make her way over here. And then of course we have to wait for the alphas to dismiss everyone" Ash explained with an exaggerated roll of his eyes as he mentioned having to wait for them to be dismissed. He had to have a little fun with the juveniles, he knew just like him they were probably impatient and in a hurry to get moving so he felt they'd understand his humor. Ash looked out at the woods just outside the pack "but soon after they dismiss we'll be heading into the south side of our territory to begin the training.. I'm thinking instead of mice maybe upping up the challenge a little, going for hares or maybe something a little larger like pheasants." Ash explained with a small grin as he hoped the juveniles would be lightened to hear the news of what he had planned for them.
Azalea | F | Pack member | M: Mullien
-
"Thank you." Azalea nodded, slowly walking over to her pup. She sat nearby to him. She felt an urge to just pick him up and bring him back home but forced herself to hold off for now.
"Do you want to talk about what you saw?" Azalea offered, watching Mullien closely. "I know that was hard and scary... I'm here for you to chat to." She added. She was mainly concerned about what effect seeing such a scene would have on him. She was already very protective of her pups.
This situation honestly made her a bit irritated at Malakai and Kalevala. They needed to be more careful around the pups/ Azalea would never actually voice this opinion though.
Inclementia
Alpha Female | 5.5 Years Old | Mentions: The Pack, Moth, Malakai
"Alright, those who have been assigned a task may proceed with what you have been assigned. And anyone else who hasn't been assigned can stay back so I can figure out what you will do," and she said that with a smile - though if one knew her well, they would know it to be a strained one, because tensions were high and she didn't like the events that had unfolded. And so she took a deep breath to compose herself before waiting for the crowd to disperse and see what was remaining of her pack. " I wish everyone a successful hunt and patrol - and I do hope you juveniles learn something with your lessons. If have good reports, I may let a group of juveniles under the supervision of an adult attempt a hunt for a deer - so those watching juveniles today, make sure to come to me and report how well they did because those who get high marks will get to go on this hunt. Consider it incentive to do good work today." She said with a teasing tone, her eyes lighting up with mischief and playfulness. She wanted the juveniles to work for something, after all they might thing their task boring - so they might try and get out of it, so she had to do something to liven it up.
After addressing the pack, she turned to her daughter and gave a soft hum as she was greeted. "And good morning to you too, sweetheart." She said warmly as she nuzzled the young female with a lick across the top of the juvenile's head. "At least one of my children have come to say good morning to me today. I hope you like the group you're going with today, and that you do well." She said with a soft lilt in her tone of voice - and she looked to Malaki with a gentle expression, "How about you cool off before doing anything else dear? Did you need me to assign the rest of the tasks or are you up for that." She said softly - only for him to hear, after all she didn't want to disrespect or put him down in such a public setting. And so she hoped to get a response, but while she was waiting she decided to get ahead.
"Kalevala, Willow, Fracture," the female called, this was the group she had chosen for patrol. And she was calling them over so as to be ready for the patrol. And while she waited for Malakai to respond, she looked to them saying - "We'll be patrolling the northern and eastern most part of our borders. Along with making sure there are no repercussions for mate's actions in taking out their leader - even though he had been a growing nuisance to us in the past couple weeks. I will catch up with you three, you can head towards the borders - I shan't be long, dismissed." She said politely and cordially to her pack members.
And then turning to her daughter she spoke, "I believe you should be with your group sweetheart. Now shoo, shoo." She said with a teasing tone as she nudged her playfully away to go for the patrol. And once her daughter and her patrol group were out of earshot - she looked at her mate expectinly, and said "Well, do you have a response, dearest?"
Teresa
Elder | Ten | Female | Mentions: Jarek & Willow
The older female was still curled up in her den when sounds of discord rang in her ears. And she slowly raised her head to acknowledge it, but then again - she really couldn't be bothered by the drama at the moment. And she curled up even more to block out the sounds and noise. She was sort of chilly, even all curled up in her den and this was annoying. She'd have to ask someone to get her some warmer animal furs for her little 'nest'. And she perked her ears at the thought - and so she made her way out of her den. Slowly, but surely - and she shook off the dirt from her pelt and licked and picked any burs and undesirable things that clung to her fur. And she gave a soft hum as she noted that the pack had seemed to be gathering for the normal meetings but their was an underlying tension. She'd ask about it later, but she was currently on a mission - and she looked around and that's when she found him : her son . And she picked up her pace a bit to trot over to her son - the scent of peaches and salt tickling her nose as she approached the golden hued male.
"Good Morning, Jarek," she greeted, " I hope you and Willow are doing well." She said with sincerity, she thinks that the two would make a handsome pair, but Willow was doing her son wrong and she didn't appreciate that - hopefully, the two would work it out. "My dear boy, would you be a dear and get your mother some newer and warm furs to line her den with?" She said with a slight pout, " I don't like being chilled in my own den, especially when I have nice and soft pelts to sleep on." And she said that with an annoyed huff.
"Anyways," she said abruptly, "I'm rambling. Now how was your morning? And what task have you been assigned?" She said with a hum as she sat down to listen to her son before he ran off and had an adventurous day. She was sort of jealous - she missed running out of camp to seize the day, maybe she would take a nice walk around the territory today or look after pups to keep herself entertained. But her exploits of greatness would have to wait, right now she was just a mother having a conversation with her son.
Jarek | Male | Pack Member | M: Teresa, Skylark, Mikhail
He lashed his tail listening to the patrols could be sent out. He knew had apprentices, but forgot which one. He caugh Willow taking a sneak of look at him. Jarek pinned his ears on the back of his head in guilt, but anger. He then perked his ears to sound of his mother and looked at her. He looked at her taking in the time when things weren't rough as pup. He took a deep breath taking her relaxing scent for him to calm his temper down.
He barked," Mother, let's just say I am at my wits with Willow. I may have snapper at her for all of her sudden affection." He lashed his tail listening to his mother's question for his service. He realized he need his service for the apprentices. He barked loudly, "Mikhail and Skylark gather of here and we will be getting go here in a second." He looked down at his mother but not to far juts a little. He didn't even realize he was larger than his mother. He barked, "Of course I will. I am with the juveniles today for patrolling. We will find some pelts or anything on the way back.." He nuzzled his mother's cheek and he added, "If you'd like I can maybe bring some flowers of lavender to add into your bedding to keep you relaxed and better sleep.."
He waited for his apprentices patiently enjoying his time with his dear mother.
Moth | Heir | Mentions: Inclementia (direct)
Moth nodded at her mother and walked back into the clearing, looking around for her patrol group.
She couldn't find them anywhere as she looked around, so she just shrugged her shoulders and ambled around, trying to find something to occupy her time until her patrol group appeared. She became bored quite fast and sat down, her tail thumping with annoyance on the ground.
