Being late wasn't exactly the best of trophies to win first prize in, but Layne was certainly aiming to get at least second or maybe third place. The book bag he had was filled with loose papers--absolutely just chaos. Was there actually homework there in the mess of wadded papers, books and other crammed ... things? Probably. Could he find it? Actually, he knew exactly what paper was what. Weird.
A few loose feathers dropped down from his wings, lost and left behind as the young man hurried through the hallway. Did he have a map at one point... yeah. Did he have it now? No. No, he... did not. No. It had been lost, left behind and... that was that. Unfortunate but it happened. There seemed, ahead, a group of people just standing there. Some were laughing, some were chatting but some of them seemed... uncomfortable at the same time. Layne paused, hanging back to just get a little bit of the vibe of the group. The conversation about a blackboard which drifted into guiding most of the students into the classroom. Layne shrugged and followed after the group.
But it wasn't until he took a seat that he felt a little out of place. Magic... and food prep? Layne lifted his hand, finally making himself known. "Sir? What if we don't have abilities that are manipulat..able?" It wasn't a word but it was the best form of the thought he could form. |

She snapped at him through a strained smile, trying to pretend she wasn't as annoyed as she felt. She gently swatted him around the back of the ears. "Hopeless, you are." She said as she let out a sigh, giving Sky a fond smile as she brushed her hand over his head. "Was your wolf form always this soft?? It's like a bloody cloud..!" Silver exclaimed as she continued to softly pet Sky. ° "Right. Go bring your steak over, I'll cook it for you as well. But only this one time-!" Silver chuckled as she drew her hand away. |

Her other hand rested harmlessly on Skylar's head as she idly pet him, her fingers brushing through his fur as she waited for the steak to be done. ° "If you get any softer, I think I might die." She chuckled to him, reaching to the base of his ear. "Oh my gods.. it's so much softer here-!!" She let out a small squeal of delight as she continued playing around with Skylar's wolf form before picking up the steaming steak as she held it out to him. ° "Careful, it'll be hot." She warned as she offered it to him. |

I felt jealous and sad as I watched Skylar flirt with Silver. And also mad. Was he lying when he said he liked me? Suddenly, the steak in front of me caught on fire, with my fierce silver flame. In seconds, it was a pile of ash. Hoping no one had noticed, I brushed the ash off the table and raised my hand. "Chai? I don't think I got a steak. Can I have one?" I hoped that she wouldn't notice the smell of burt steak around me. |
