The game is probably bugged with the dyes so must go through customization and apply a random coat and then use dye once youve customized

You cannot apply dyes through the custom maker. You need to set it to some random coat then apply the dye after :)

You'll have to do it through the quick view menu (the same one to use other feathers, healing items, etc.)

You'll want to customize your wolf first before you use the dye otherwise, it's a waste of dye.

I just didn't know if he would be worth customizing to make him 120+ rarity for breeding. He's heavyweight with positive vitals. His ratings are bad, though.

I have a question about the customization
In order to apply a dye do you have to do it through the customization? thought I had seen something about that in a forum post

I think he's pretty solid as is. You could throw a dye on him but I wouldn't bother customizing him.

I'd definitely wait for a boost/defect/both.
