I breed American Bullies, and I can state with confidence, that while some people feed the dogs attitude or aggression, but some dogs are aggressive by nature. Now, by saying that, not ALL dogs in the breed are automatically aggressive. Pits tend to be territorial and possessive, so people tended to use them for fighting, which is how they earned their rep for being an aggressive breed. I've had pits that were the sweetest things, and then I've had some that aren't. It's just like people. Not all of them are bad, but accassionally there's a Ted Bundy or Jeffery Dahmer in the mix.

Interesting, the one that's been trying to get passed in the US has dogs being euthanized. If it looks like a bully, it's dying

they arn't slaughtered. It breeding, selling, buying, trading ETC witch is banned. the current bullies may live out their lives. Though, a lot of especially brits euthanised theirs (out from their own choice)

Yep, I wish we as a world would stop and actually inform ourselves and stop spreading misinformation. The media is always dramatizing things and blowing everything way out of proportion and now we have innocent animals being slaughtered because of it

yes i agree with you. I also think that a lot of people (in europe where these dogs are foreign) i think a lot of the people that buy them, encourage and like their history as agressive dogs

That doesn't surprise me, even rotties I've seen. Not many, but there are some. Most of the negative myths surrounding pits and such are because of the dogs that were abused, neglected, or used in dog fights. Gives the entire breed a bad rep

Almost any dog can do a job if it's trained right. Labs, goldens, german shepards, even Pitties and malinois, I've personally met a Doberman Pincher who was a cardiac alert dog. Many breeds have been trained for those jobs but some of them just arent in the media

It really is sad. I work in a vet hospital and I've had more huskies, Dalmatians, and chihuahuas try and take my face off than anything else, but I've never seen any legislation about them.

I no longer feel them, for they have made a home in my stomach

Forcing me to to step out of my comfort zone

You broke me out of my shell

You made me realize that life is worth living

I wanted to die, to leave the earth and never come back

But it was you I always thought of as I watched the lines on my wrists redden

I’d do anything for you because you saved my life

I love you like every second is slowly getting me closer to your lips

I honestly just want a kiss

I don’t care if we end up making out

Once I put it back together, I just keep on loving you

I don’t care if my food bowl is empty or that my fur is unkempt.

I would pant over you until you pet me.

I would scratch at the door to be let in.

I would pace the house, waiting for you to come home.

I would sleep at the foot of your bed.

I would howl your favorite songs.

I would growl at the people who made you cry.

I would lick away your tears.

I would whine for just a kiss.

I would lay at your grave all day and all night just for my body to decay.

I would then love you like a rotten dog.

Sometimes I question myself

Am I just being a hopeless romantic?
Am I just holding onto the past?
Am I just faking it at this point?
