okay so it has nothing to do with the actual magic itself but just the beliefs of those with magic. Earthly magic people grew up with polytheistic beliefs because their powers were more varied and diverse in their part of the world where there was no arcane. Arcane, meanwhile, thought there was one god because all their powers, while having different effects, all felt very similar and caused similar symptoms and all that. When both civilizations were more powerful and were able to travel and expand more, arcane magic users and earthly magic users came into conflict because the others were strange and different, the arcane people not having as many "sacred" physical features that the earth people did and the arcane people viewed some of the earthly people as primitive due to their rituals for their gods. War broke out between the countries of the different magic types and some solely earthly and solely arcane countries that are very nationalistic are still currently in war. Most people have moved past this feud by now, many starting friendship, families, and more with people of other magic types in all-magic-welcome countries, but those lingering stereotypes and tensions still remain
