The Deities of The Continent, Ployavas
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
On the continent, numerous deities walk the Earth or remain in the Realm of Beyond. These deities range from the higher deities, like Brise and Centurio, to the lesser ones such as Maua and Ling. While deities are known to choose a favorite country to inhabit, Braisia is known for its inclusivity, allowing for a plethora of churches, temples, and altars to every deity, allowing for there to be many different divine devotees throughout.
Brise
Goddess of Freedom, Wind, and Celebration
Brise is known for her lavish festivals and celebrations as well as her absence from duties. She tends to present herself modestly but with bright colors and spiral patterns to mortals and followers. She will have a 1C boyish haircut, pale skin, and often sporting a historical navy blue vaud or a traditional cornelia shirt under a royal blue vest. The only way to tell her apart from humans when she is in her disguise, is that, under her baggy pants or dress, she has legs that bend backwards like a bird. Although she presents herself more humbly, statues depict her with long, blonde hair and blue eyes in elegant, red and blue cloth dresses with a rope around her waist and large, magnificent wings. Richer churches adorn her hair with gold dusted leaves and feathers to honor her further. Brise can best be characterized as jovial and carefree. While many followers hold her to being the Queen of Deities due to her roll in banishing The Noone, she abhors this title and is adamant that she does not control the affairs of the other deities and even her own followers, leading her to being absent in her role as a supposed leader of them both. As of late, all of her followers, except her closest follower, have grown weaker; however, before the Spire, her followers had, among other things, control over wind, air, as well as few having the ability to sometimes take away the freedom of others by summoning and binding them in golden chains and taking their life with a golden sword.
Ahket
God of Sun, Flora, and Labor
Most know Ahket for his hardworking nature and being strongly associated with farming, just like Maua. Revealing himself as a fit man with honey skin and long 3B hair with part of it pinned in a bun and the rest flowing behind him as he walks, Ahket puts some effort into his appearance yet he rarely has the time to work on himself as of late. Above his gold freckles and beneath his glowing eyes, heavy bags sit as he can no longer find sleep. Ahket is stubborn in his ways, silent, and burdening himself with work to distract himself from his past but his good-humored, sunny demeanor shines through when he is relaxed and playing practical jokes on others. After playing a hand in the death of the Goddess of Art and Creativity, Kenaz, his brightness is much rarer. There are also several rumors of Anket and other gods being intimate after the tragic events that separated him from Ægir, though it can be dangerous to speak of such rumors of a powerful god… Ahket grants his followers numerous abilities such as recovering quicker from exhaustion, accelerating the growth of and controlling plants, creating floating balls of warm light, and letting their hands become fire or lava.
Ægir
God of Moon, Deep Sea, and Dreams
Ægir, known for his pranks, mischief, but good-nature, is the only god who spends all his time with humans. Unlike most of the deities, Ægir spends a lot of time with his followers and his image is quite well known because of it. Having almost white skin and milky eyes, his black 2A hair is rich and fluffy, contrasting to the aspects previously described. Ægir also has the unique appearance of both having gills as well as pitch black tentacles for legs, though he can get rid of both to look more human when they grow annoying. After the death of his sister, Kenaz, and his fallout with Ahket, he has grown bitter and resentful of the other deities, preferring to spend his time with mortals as he has earned the title “Deity Destroyer.” While most deities toil away on their respective roles, Ægir loves to have fun, indulging in mischief or subtlety improving the lives of mortals. As for the abilities he grants, some of what he grants is allowing his followers the ability to see in the dark, manipulate water, and recreate the immense pressure of the deep seas on any particular target.
Raimy
Deity of Forbidden Knowledge
Raimy was not created the same way as the other deities and only Raimy themself knows of how they were created. Due to this, not much is known about this deity and their true appearance is impossible to see. As such, Raimy takes the form of whoever they please. Despite their deep care and love of mortal life, their mere presence causes a decay in the minds and instincts of others from single-cell creatures, to plants, to animals, to humans. This recluse tries to passively spread their knowledge in whatever way they can but is fearful of those who actively seek them in case that person has poor intentions or that person could drift into madness. Raimy regrets their existence but continues in order to ensure the pursuit of knowledge remains, only ever allowing a few people close to them in order to continue sharing their knowledge to the rest of the world. Though it is incredibly hard to attain, Raimy blesses or curses his followers with knowledge even the deities have forgotten: spells of life and death, the lost language of the deities, and visions of the immediate future, all at the cost of sanity.
Maua
Goddess of Flowers, Fertility, and Love
Maua as the Goddess of familial, platonic, and romantic love, she is adored for her gentle nature and good heart. As the goddess of fertility, most people are overwhelmed by her mere presence and view her as an image of whoever they are most attracted to. However, if the person has no sexual attraction or simply is able to resist her aura, they can see her pure form. While she is viewed as a lesser deity compared to the many others, her appearance in her true form is just as regal. With rich coffee skin and sultry eyes, she wears a short top and pleated short dress which accentuate her curves. Bright orange, red, pink, and other colored beads decorate her neck, but her bright pink eyes and lips are brought out more by the flowers around her. Often, beautiful flowers wrap around her, the flowers mostly being her favorite, the cape buttercup. Her 4C hair is either in an afro or a top knot and, of course, with her favorite flowers in it. Maua can best be characterized as sweet but a bit of a pushover. Many of her followers can get awfully demanding of her, but she is generally unable to deny helping them. While all of her followers have lost contact with her, they still have access to her abilities of, among other things, germinating large amounts of crops, controlling flowers, sensing the emotions of others, and manipulating emotions.
Ling
Goddess of Life, Death, and Souls
Ling is known for her sorrowful and gentle demeanor, having witnessed and cared for the lost souls of all living beings, allowing them to remain on Earth for as long as they choose or pass on in order to cross either the Black or Golden Bridge. While she deals with the dead, she is also responsible for helping protect the new life of the world. Thus, when a child is born with no life, people do not blame the mother or the father, but the death of some other person who kept Ling unable to accompany the family. She is an empathetic and gentle woman with her face hidden behind the veils held up by her bamboo hat, her black, 1A hair with white streaks reaching down to her waist, just below the veils. She wears muted colors and carries a basket of food that she can pull out offerings from to give to both souls or mothers. While her appearance is well known, only those who have witnessed a soul enter a body at birth (the moment the baby is its own soul separate from its mother) or a soul leave a body (the moment someone’s brain is unable to keep the body alive), are able to see Ling. Even then, Ling only grants her powers to those who agree to have a child with her since she wishes to be a mother. She is stern but kind and longs to be a mother herself so having her own demi-deity gives her that opportunity as she grants them the power of seeing souls, communicating with them, and controlling uninhabited bodies such as the dead or bodies trapped in Ægir’s comatose Realm of Dreams.
Centurio
God of War and Strategy
Centurio is well known for having the strength of a hundred men. Centurio often appears as a muscular tanned man with a sharp jaw, red eyes, and brown 2C hair. He is always seen in his muscle cuirass armor with a helmet with no eye holes over his head, allowing himself to be blinded by his rage when entering battle. Manipulative, arrogant, and smart, Centurio is not just a man driven by his bloodlust. Well, he is, but he is smart enough to not always reveal this. Promising riches, prosperity, and growth, Centurio has amassed a large following in both humans and in his deity companions. Because he is constantly seeking power, he gives away his abilities to people more easily than other deities, leading to massive populations of people dedicating themselves to him. He grants a multitude of abilities to his followers such as allowing them to summon a weapon of their choosing, increasing their strength for a short amount of time, increasing their endurance when they shed blood, and numbing pain when injured to allow for more fighting.
Yatill
Titan of Creation, Destruction, and Puppeteering
Also known as, it is taboo to say the name of this titan, and even illegal in some countries. No one but the deities know their appearance or characteristics or the powers they grant because anyone who reaches out to the titan will be killed with metal wires by the deity of the kingdom they are in to send a message to those who dare turn to The Noone.

Magic-Users of Braisia and Ployavas
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
In a land where magic is accessible to everyone thanks to a cheap educational system and the freedom to practice prayer to every deity, Braisia is home to the biggest magic to non-magic ratio in the continent and this shows in the diversity of the magic-users. Of the five types of magic, most common people have access to unlocking four; however, most choose only one or two magic types to focus on.
Alchemy
Alchemy is the art of potion making. Potions are growing in popularity due to a better understanding of science and magic though there is still a lot to learn from it. Potions need to be ingested in order to work and can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on (for lack of a better phrase) how small someone’s bladder is. While they only can do physical changes to the drinker, such as add wings, make skin thicker, or grant the ability to see in the dark, new studies are showing that potions can help with mental illness and gender dysphoria.
Divine Devotion
While most magic can be learned at the Academy, Divine Devotion is a lot trickier to master as there is no exact science behind it. Truthfully, if anyone prays enough to the right deity, they can get abilities through time and dedication. Though it is usually a game of trying to make good offerings or to impress the deity, some will refuse giving powers even still. Divine Devotion is such a gamble that the only ones worth aiming for are Centurio, Ægir, Maua, or (maybe, if you are a good worker or farmer) Akhet.
Incantations
Incantations are not for those who stutter, have poor pronunciations, or are not confident in their words because a small error can lead to a drastically different spell. Incantations take a long time to master but over time, commanding the elements around you, rather than what is inside of you like with potions, will give results. Saying ‘lift’ will lift objects below a certain weight, saying ‘fire’ will sprout flames, saying ‘pull’ will pull objects towards you, and etc. etc. However, the louder the words are proclaimed and the older the language used while speaking (i.e. languages closer to the forgotten language of the deities), the stronger the spells.
Sigil-Crafting
While potions affect the maker and incantations affect the world around the caster, sigils affect objects and the world. Sigils consist of several different circles, symbols, and runes merged together to create the desired effect. They can be used to make a mop use itself, a sword burn its enemies, or a cargo box make itself lighter. Less than a quarter of a century ago though, it was discovered that, by writing flame sigils on thin objects such as paper, sigil-crafters could suddenly use slips of paper to create fire as well as a spellcaster or divine devotee of Akhet. Now, writing spells for light, ice, fire, and more have all been discovered for sigil-crafters to utilize on their journey.
Yatill’s Bloods
It is believed that rulers of countries were long ago chosen by the deities and gifted with the blood of The Noone. Yatill’s Bloods is the only time in which it is not taboo to say the felled titan’s name as a mockery to them and a show of how strong the royal families are as they are all born with magic unique to each family. (If you would like your character to be one of Yatill’s Bloods, just pm me first!)

Important Locations of Ployavas
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
Throughout this story a few key places will be mentioned repeatedly and most will be visited frequently as well. Knowing of most of these places is helpful for anyone born of Ployavasian blood.
In Braisia
Coris- Coris got its name as it is meant to be the core of Braisia despite sitting more to the Southeast on the shore of the Fallinté Ocean. As the capital, it is no wonder why it has the second largest population in Braisia and has a bustling city. Known for housing trade and hosting elaborate festivals, Braisia experiences new opportunities and experiences daily. Even now with snow on the ground and frost on the water, beautiful colorful snow lanterns decorate the landscape at night with the silhouette of the Grand Academy of Sciences and Magic in the distance.
Grand Academy of Sciences and Magic- For those looking for an education, the Grand Academy provides. Being both the cheapest and most intellectual school in the nation, students from all over Braisia flock to it in an effort to learn magic and science which can improve the lives of anyone greatly. Due to the sheer amount of people entering, prices have lowered over time and now some people from even Blackthorn can afford to attend.
Blackthorn- Blackthorn is the largest city in Braisia and it is also the poorest with the highest non-magic population where the building fire happened one month ago. Being only half a day travel by carriage, a few hours by train, and with plentiful mail and package teleporters, Blackthorn is mostly just a production city where everyone from children to elderly work endlessly for less than a living wage. Buildings are built higher here than anywhere else in the country and wealthy landowners will rent out the rooms of their houses to families in need, for an extremely high price of course. With a constant smell of human defecation, gang violence, and labor union riots, the only city in Braisia in worse conditions at the moment is Holiway.
Holiway- Holiway is one of the smaller cities of Braisia, consisting of less than five-hundred inhabitants who mostly pray to Centurio. Living on the Northern border of Braisia in the mountainous terrain, the reason why there is such bad conditions is the fact that on the other side of the Braisian-Fidelish border, tensions are brewing. The nation of Fidelis blames Braisia for the destruction of the greatest statue of Centurio that restored peace between the nations fifteen years ago. As a result, death threats, vandalism, and one attempted bombing have plagued Holiway for the past month and everyone lives in a state of terror.
Other Countries
Fidelis- To the North of Braisia, lies the country of Fidelis. South Fidelis, along the Braisian-Fidelish border, is a mountainous terrain with a cold climate year round while the more North you go, the drier it gets in summer and wet it becomes during winter, though it is always hot. Fidelis is an entire country dedicated to the name of Centurio in the aim of reaching a country devoted to strength. When this strength was challenged more than fifteen years ago, the Fidelish lashed out against the other countries, seeking to prove itself by taking over Ployavas. Thankfully, it failed, but people fear Fidelis will rise up once more but with a new alliance.
Zalisland- The desert people of Zalisland have a culture of trade and growth, hence why they have always been in a close alliance with Braisia. Unlike the Fidelish who outlaws praying to other deities yet also unlike the Braisian who accepts the practice of all, the Zaliss accept a few of the deities yet there are plenty of organizations who actively seek out and attack followers of Ægir, Maua, and Ling. This is because these groups praise the sun and chastity while denouncing the belief that Ling takes souls to the Black and Gold Bridge but instead to a place called Nirvana where souls can rest if they held strong morals or be condemned if they did not. Despite this, Zalisland and Braisia have always been close allies with Zalisland touching Braisia on its west border. However, with the latest rumors of a Zaliss and Fidelish alliance… who can you really trust?
Beyond Ployavas
Realm of Dreams- A territory controlled by Ægir. Well, “controlled” is a strong word. More like an area, which he involuntarily created in his anger and sadness over the loss of his sister and the power imbalance created from it, that is controlled by Ægir’s emotions of any given point of time. Anyone who falls asleep enters their own section of this realm that will depict emotions that Ægir is feeling, anywhere from a hideous nightmare to a pleasant dream.
The Bridges- This is the supposed place Ling brings the souls of the dead if they so choose. While many choose to remain on Earth to watch over loved ones or see the world that they could not in their life, those who wish for something else follow Ling. These two bridges, one black and one gold, lead to two separate destinations but no one knows where, not even Ling herself. The bridge chosen is up for the soul to decide.
Realm of The Beyond- This is the deep space between stars where the deities can separate themselves from Earth if only for a brief time. This is also where they keep their prized prisoner. The Noone lies there, binded like a marionette by their own puppets.
