Hmm, perhaps specific magical items are half-legends, maybe lost or maybe used up? Maybe some idiot made the world most useless magic item which nobody really wants but is still worth a ton just because it's magical? Like, a pair of socks that never smells. Rich people could display the socks in their house and never use them. Or something like that.

I wanted to let everyone know that I probably won't be active for the next few days due to the fact that I'm traveling out of state with my family for spring break. You can start without me if you decide to, I promise I will be back after the break!

The sock idea is amazing

Sock, sock, sock. We need to include the sock. Maybe we can have them telling stories or something on the road and someone mentions magical items. We got a variety of personalities, so some are skeptics and others are believers. They can have a debate about The Legend of the Fresh-Smelling Socks. Lore states that they're still on their maker's feet. Kids go around trying to find the grave to see if their power holds true.
