With everything going on in the US

I highly doubt a federal law relating to dog breeds is gonna come out :'D

Yeah, so blaming a human for the dog being aggressive is like blaming a human's mistakes on mommy issues. Sure, may be the case sometimes, but not every time.

It's actually not being enforced, the bill won't pass. Americans don't give a shit what type of dog you have. This is a rumor going around social media for some reason. Not truth. The law actually restricts the ban on breeds like pitbulls, german shepherd, etc

Yeah, that's how it is with all animals on the planet

I breed American Bullies, and I can state with confidence, that while some people feed the dogs attitude or aggression, but some dogs are aggressive by nature. Now, by saying that, not ALL dogs in the breed are automatically aggressive. Pits tend to be territorial and possessive, so people tended to use them for fighting, which is how they earned their rep for being an aggressive breed. I've had pits that were the sweetest things, and then I've had some that aren't. It's just like people. Not all of them are bad, but accassionally there's a Ted Bundy or Jeffery Dahmer in the mix.

Interesting, the one that's been trying to get passed in the US has dogs being euthanized. If it looks like a bully, it's dying

they arn't slaughtered. It breeding, selling, buying, trading ETC witch is banned. the current bullies may live out their lives. Though, a lot of especially brits euthanised theirs (out from their own choice)

but this is also stated on the UKC webpage "Above all else, the APBT must have the functional capability to be a catch dog that can hold, wrestle (push and pull), and breathe easily while doing its job. Balance and harmony of all parts are critical components of breed type.

Yep, I wish we as a world would stop and actually inform ourselves and stop spreading misinformation. The media is always dramatizing things and blowing everything way out of proportion and now we have innocent animals being slaughtered because of it

yes i agree with you. I also think that a lot of people (in europe where these dogs are foreign) i think a lot of the people that buy them, encourage and like their history as agressive dogs

That doesn't surprise me, even rotties I've seen. Not many, but there are some. Most of the negative myths surrounding pits and such are because of the dogs that were abused, neglected, or used in dog fights. Gives the entire breed a bad rep

So you have premium and you're wondering "What are familiars? What do they do? Why should I bother tossing CP in social to befriend them?" Fret not! This guide will give you the information you need~

Overview: Familiars are animals randomly found in explore or purchased during site events or Bidoo's Bone Shop. After successful recruition of them, they will fight for you alongside your wolf team. However, in order to get them to fight for you, they must be fed mushrooms.
Note: You must have room for familiars or they will flee upon seeing your wolves in explore.
Another Note: If your familiar loses all health, they will die and cannot be revived. Purchased familiars are an exception.

This guide is split into 5 sections:
- For Familiars Found in Explore
- For Familiars that are Purchased
- Exploring with Your Familiar
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- Breakdown of Familiars: Recruitting Location, Health, Damage Output and Mush Cost (+ How to Purchase for those applicable). Also includes images!

Now for the in-depth version with images! :D

For Familiars Found in Explore

1) Preparation
In order to successfully recruit a familiar, you'll need wolves with character points (CP) in the Social attribute. You can see how many points your wolf has by going to their page and scrolling down to "Character Attributes"

While you don't need to have the attribute maxed out like Aku's wolf, you have a higher chance of success when you bring wolves with high social.

2) Deciding on a Location
Once you have your wolves ready to go, head over to the "Explore" button found in the menu bar. From there, you should pick the terrain you would like to explore, just like usual. However, it should be noted that different terrains have different familiars. A list of the terrains and the various familiars that can be found is listed below.

Aku has decided that she wants a new Gorilla or Orangutan, both of which can be found in the Jungle terrain, so off she goes to explore!

>
>

3) Encountering a Familiar
After walking around for quite a while, Aku has encountered a Gorilla! In the Adventure Box, you will find the option "Befriend" given that you have enough familiar spaces.

Select "Befriend"

Thanks to having high social, Aku's wolf was successful in befriending the Gorilla!

For Familiars that are Purchased

1) Head to Marketplace

2) Select "Bidoo's Bone Shop" or "Monthly Event Shop"
While Bidoo always has some familiars available for you to purchase, this is not always the case with the Monthly Event Shop. For this guide, we will purchase a familiar from Bidoo.

3) Head over to "Bidoo's Bone Shop" and Scroll Down to "Familiars"
The "Familiars" section is under the "Buy Gear" section and above the "Buy Background" section

>

As you can see in the image above, there are a number of familiars that you can obtain for bone fragments. An important point to bring attention to is that familiars "will not die in battle, but flee instead if gravely wounded". After fleeing with 1 health point left (just like your wolves in explore), they will slowly recover health depending on your pack happiness.

If you're in a rush, you can head over to Realm > Marketplace > Barter and purchase a "Morning Dew Elixer" to heal any of your familiars. (Found right below the "Explorer's Map")

Exploring with Your Familiar

1) Managing Your Familiars
Back on your den page, you will find a section titled "My Familiars" (Below "My Awards" and above "Wolves")

Here, you will be able to feed your familiars as well as give them a name. In addition, you'll be able to make your familiar leave your pack. Naming and leaving are done under "Manage Familiars". Next to "Manage Familiars", you will find the number of familiar slots you have, and how many are in use.

Once selected, it should look something like this:

Now, you just type in your familiar's new name and select "Change Name" or select a familiar and select "Leave Pack" to perform the respective functions.

2) Feeding Your Familiar
Now you've given your familiar a (hopefully) easier to read name than Aku's and are ready to test them in battle. First things first, you must feed your familiar to take them exploring. You'll be able to see the amount of mush you need to feed your familiar under their name and health.
Note: Familiars only need to be fed once per day

Kondo the 79th (yeah I know, roman numerals are wack) eats 3 mush and has 100 health points. Once you feed you familiar, you'll get a notification that looks like this:

Now you're ready to go!

3) Exploring with Your Familiar
Now that your familiar is full of energy, you can take them exploring with your wolves. Once you head to "Explore" and scroll all the way down, you'll see "Select Familiar"
Note: In the event that you don't see this section, it means that you don't have a familiar capable of exploring meaning either you don't have a familiar or you haven't fed any of them.

Once you select your familiar, just hit "Submit" and off we go!

4) Battling with Your Familiar
Your familiar can be a powerful ally or a cute touch to your explore team. Regardless, they will be fighting alongside your wolves and are equally as susceptible to being attacked by your opponent.

Here you can see your familiar with your wolves. After you've picked what your wolves are going to do, the battle will start as it will under normal circumstances. Unlike your wolves, you will not be able to control your familiar; They will hit whoever they feel like hitting.

Order wise, your familiar will hit after your wolves, but before the opponent. Certain familiars will hit harder than others.
Note: More mush to feed does not equal higher damage output

Here you can see that the Gorilla, with 100 HP, hits for 60 damage! What a powerful ally!

And there you have it, that's how you explore with a familiar. It's important to note that these normal familiars will die should they reach 0 HP and they are unretrievable. It is completely up to you whether you decide to constantly restock your familiars by befriending more after they die, or you allow your familiars to rest / heal them with the "Morning Dew Elixer".

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Which familiar is the best?
A: It's generally agreed that the Gorilla and Burro are some of the best familiars in terms of battling capabilities. Not only are they cheap to feed, they have tons of HP and deal great amounts of damage. Gorillas can be found in the Jungle while Burros can be found in the Desert.

Q: How do you get more space for familiars?
A: You can purchase 5 familiar spaces for 5 apples. You can purchase them in Barter under "Apples".
Realm > Marketplace > Barter > Apples > Scroll down
