Gus smiled when he saw the cat relax in Apollow's arms. He watched carefully as his white-haired friend kissed Kiki's paw gently before Gus looked away, embarrassed. He started to follow Apollow farther into the apartment but paused before he left the entryway. This place wasn't his, and he hadn't been to someone else's place in a long while. It felt strange, looking around to see things that he didn't own or didn't have to try and sell for more money. Everything seemed so nice and so clean, that he dared not touch anything at all. "Um, pasta would be nice," he said, just barely loud enough for Apollow to hear in the kitchen.

Apollow looked back and didn't see Gus, "you can come in, don't mind the art all over the walls, I ran out of space in my folders" he grabbed out a few things to make the sauce and started thawing some chicken to throw in a frying pan. "On it!" He called back after hearing Gus's response. He set Kiki down and walked back to the entrance to find Gus still standing there. "Well don't be a statue, come on, I'll show you around" he walked towards Gus and patted his shoulder

Gus watched Apollow turn the corner into his line of vision, still frozen stiff. "Sorry," he said, relaxing after Apollow tried to comfort him. He was unsure of how to act, especially since he just met Apollow that day. And what was he going to do? Sneak back into the park at midnight like every time when he went out for dinner after a game. Alone. This time was very different though, Apollow was here and had offered for Gus to stay over, so he was going to enjoy it as much as possible. "I haven't been over at someone else's house for a long while."

"It's all good," Apollow replied "come on, let me show you my studio room," he took a left and entered a room on the right, the room was small, but still had plenty of room to be comfortable. LED light strips where hung on the corners of the room, and the walls had various styles of drawings, from flowers, to Indepth ocean scenes. A double monitor setup was in a corner of the room, and a mic in the other. "It's small, but I like it. I don't do all of my recording here, just some of it," he put his hands in the pockets of his pants, letting Gus look around a bit.

Gus followed Apollow into the dimly lit room. "It all seems very expensive," Gus whispered, trying to make sure he didn't touch anything with his shoulders or hands. He often broke whatever wasn't his, and this was too nice to risk. What he was most interested in, however, were the drawings on the walls. The flowers in particular drew his attention as he walked towards them, once again tracing the soft lines with his eyes. Everything about what Apollow could do amazed him, and made him think about how his only talent was just hockey. That was him, a plain old jock with weird opinions and feelings.

"Well, it wasn't the most expensive, but it certainly wasn't cheap" he watched as Gus walked towards the walls to admire the drawings. "You really like those don't you?" He walked over to one of his favorites. A grouping of Daisies with dandelion seeds floating around them "If you wanted, I could show you my sketchbook." Apollow started walking out of the room, glancing behind him, waiting for Gus to follow. He stopped in the doorframe and let Gus look at the drawings awhile longer. He was in the section with the purple and white roses being the centerpiece.

As Gus admired the drawings hanging on the walls, he looked over at Apollow, smiling sheepishly. "So, earlier, I lied. When I said that I liked the blue." Gus could feel his cheeks grow hot, but it would be hard to see with his caramel skin. The jock looked down at the ground, shifting his weight, while the band kid stood in the doorway, waiting for him. Gus's mind was racing, pulling him between This is a bad idea! and, Just tell him! He trained his coffee gaze on the floor in front of him, unsure what to say next.

He laughed a little when Gus said he lied "well, whyd ya go and do that? It's a little silly, and it's just a color, " he walked over to stand next to him as the Jock focused his gaze at the ground "so, what color DO you like then?" He asked as he cooked his head slightly to the side. Kiki took this opportunity to waltz into the room and circle around Apollows feet.

Gus laughed quietly in response to the cat walking in. Perfect timing he thought before looking up at Apollow for a moment. "You know that pastel pink color?" He asked though it wasn't really meant to be answered. "Yeah, that's my favorite color," he nodded, looking back at the drawings. The one in front of his had what seemed to be roses, their petals curving and layering perfectly around the others. "I like the purple colors too."

"OH, you were afraid I'd judge you" he started laughing, he didn't mean to, but it was funny thinking that a jock like Gus would be self conscious about liking pink. "Pink is pretty cool, and, if you think, it's just a lighter shade of red." Apollow stopped laughing and reached down to pet Kiki before she started screeching. " so, just say you like light red. Better than lieing" he put his hand on Gus's shoulder before continuing out the door "let's go to the kitchen, the living room is right next to it, I think I have some pink wildflowers I drew hanging on the wall also"
