Gus tensed his shoulders just slightly when he felt Apollow's hand on his hair. The only physical touch he ever really got from someone was checking people in hockey, or his teammates slapping his back and punching his shoulder. There was a different intent behind Apollow's touch than the players'. Apollow meant to comfort, not tease. Gus looked over at him, drawing in a sharp breath before saying, "Im just going to have to find someone. The sacrifices I make to get a scholarship I guess." He shrugged, watching Apollow.

He ruffled his own hair before thinking of a response. " I guess. I'm still baffled on why it's such a big deal. Maybe you don't want to go out with just anyone and have it be a different person each time. I know I wouldnt" Apollow had been victim of peer pressure before, but never as bad as Gus's. "Well. I'm here if you need to talk, or hang out. Since you seemed to enjoy me here at the game I'll be sure to make time to come from now on, and I'll see if I could get you Into the studio while I record, if you'd like that" he was trying to get Gus's mind off of the date thing in any way possible

One of the only things he kept to himself the entire time threatened to become apparent. He wanted, so badly, to tell Apollow that it was going out with someone different every time, but it was also just who he went out with. His teammates would all tease him and judge him if he did what he wanted, and there was still the threat of being kicked off the team. So, instead of explaining exactly why, he responded with, "Yeah, I think it's also just who I have to go out with. Like, most of the girls in our school are bitches, and the ones that aren't are not accepted by the team."

"I understand that, I mostly keep to myself" he started then trailed off a bit "but I do see how they act towards each other and other people." Apollow also, didn't like how the girls in this school acted, always so much about how they think they deserve everything and how the can get with any guy they want. It made apollow upset. "Hey, I could cover for you, we could hang out, and then I could say I saw you with this one chick from the next district over"

Gus thought about the offer for a moment, still watching Apollow. He supposed that could work, but why would the team even ask Apollow. It's not like he was around them all the time and always included in the discussions, which frankly were never very interesting unless they were talking about upcoming games. He nodded slowly at first, deciding. "Yeah, it's quite risky, but I'd take that over going out with some girl I never talk to." He smiled at Apollow, glad he made a better friend than the ones he had.

Apollow thought about what they'd do to pass the time.. 'I don't think he's into video games' he thought. "Alright! Don't worry, we can head to my place after the games, or yours of you'd prefer," this be the first time he spent a considerable amount of time with anyone but his producer, or manager, in a while. He was glad he got the chance too, it would be nice to hang out with a friend for once.

Gus thought for a long while about whether he even wanted to stay for the next games since he wasn't in them. He finally decided that he wouldn't stay so they could get out of this place as quickly as possible. "I don't think I'll stay for the next games." After hearing Apollow's question about houses, his answer was immediate. "We'll go to your place," he said quickly with no hesitation. "Before we go, though, I need to put all my gear away and change real quick." At this point, it was unlikely any of his teammates would still be here.

"Yeah sounds good!" Apollow was slightly nervous, his place hadn't seen guests in. Well it never had guests before. And he hoped it was clean, he was usually a clean guy. "I'll wait here, you go do that" he grabbed his book again and resumed filling in the flowers. 'My walls are covered in paintings of flowers and feathers and leaves, there's recording equipment in the living room. This could be a mess' he told himself as he waited for Gus to be done

Gus nodded and stood up, taking his gear with him. He threw it all in his bag after spraying it down, then shoved the bag into a large, deep locker. Afterward, he changed into his classic button-up over his white sweater. He almost always wore the same thing, mostly because the buttons were something he could fidget with if he needed to. He ruffled his hair in the mirror real quick, trying to help it dry. He made eye contact with his own dark eyes and looked away, having a hard time looking in the mirror. He pulled himself together and grabbed his backpack, then walked back out to find Apollow again.

Apollow saw Gus walking back and waved "hi! That was fast, ready to go?" He walked the rest of the distance between them and turned towards the exit, "I have to warn you, Kiki is a bit of a void cat, but she's sweet, you're not allergic are you?" He walked by Gus's side watching infront of him while taking looks at Gus on occasion. He was nice to look at, Apollow decided.
