"Just because my ears changed in appearance doesn't mean by hearing got more dull. I'm not really that painful, am I?" Nyxeris teased. Fae hearing was unreasonably good and he didn't really mean to speak, it sort of just.. came out. "That's good to hear." Nyx only smiled wider when he heard they had things he enjoyed here. Likely not the same in taste or appearance but hopefully good enough for his refined taste. "I won't, I won't." That was a lie. He didn't steal a lot, he merely took a shirt he thought was cool looking off a rack and tucked it under everything else. All he did was not steal it right away instead of what he did with the chicken sandwich incident. "Well.. they fit.." Nyx spoke in a very confused tone, wondering what the point of this was. Of course they were comfortable, everything here seemed to be. He just didn't understand why they couldn't order someone to just go get him clothes as he used to do. Nyxeris stood behind her while she paid for the clothing items and was just about to open his mouth to ask yet another question when she whisked them away. This didn't stop him from asking on the way to the other store. "You can tell me when we get home, but.. what was that square.. thing?" Nyx enjoyed the shopping trip a lot more when they got to the food part of their adverture. He picked out tons of fruit, put them in the cart and asked Sabrina to get him lots and lots of candies but.. well.. she only got him a few. Apparently sugar wasn't good and too much would make the other humans judge them or.. something. He carried the majority of the bags, some of them heavy and some of them light but either way he found a perfect balance between them. Nyx enjoyed the walk back, it felt kind of refreshing. He hadn't exactly gone out and enjoyed anything in a long time. The way he was written in that silly little book had him planning for war constantly, always on the defeated end of it. It wore him down, he had no time. But now, he had free time to do things and he loved it.

Sabrina thanked Nyx as he took most of the bags from her, taking his place beside her just a step back as he followed her home. "It's called a card. I have a bank account where all my money is, when I swipe this, it virtually takes it out instead of having to carry cash and coins around everywhere." She began to explain as she slipped her wallet back into her pocket. She looked to him occasionally, he was distracted by everything around them, a smile on his lips at all the interesting new creations in this world. It ran through her mind how happy he possibly could be. In the book, it was always war and anger, his court known as the villains, but here...he was so kind and happy. It would be hard to send him back she even could. He was nothing like described besides his looks, it was odd. Finally home, Sabrina unlocked the door and led them inside to the kitchen, setting her bags down. "Here, put your items over there and I'll put the groceries away" she said, handing him his clothes. She began to put all the food away, keeping a few things out to make some breakfast since she did not get to eat before running to find her lost child. "I'm going to make some breakfast if you want to watch TV or shower or anything" she said, moments later realizing what she had said. He knew nothing of the activities she had offered. Before starting she explained the tv to him, as well as where the shower was and how to use it. "TV remote is on the coffee table, click the button that says on, use the button that says channel to change it. Shower is upstairs, turn the nob for hot and cold. Don't break the glass door" she explained as she tied her hair up into a bun and washed her hands. She began to cook some eggs for an omelet, washing and cutting fruit while they cooked. The kitchen was her second home other than the art studio, she loved it.

"You have some weird items here." Nyx murmured. The concept of the 'card' almost tilt his head like a dog with confusion. Of course he would never really do that but the tone he used when talking made it seem like he had really done that. Nyxeris set his bags down opposite to Sabrina's, taking his own items out of them. He took his clothes and set them where she told him to. He helped putting things away for a second too but that didn't last long. "Alright.. what are you making? And uh.. what's a TV?" Nyx questioned. He didn't know what any of those things were but was very happy when she started explaining for him. He nodded along to what she said to show he was paying attention. "Got it.. " Nyx took the remote and pressed the on button. He sifted through a few channels before deciding everything was boring despite the device being quite interesting in the way it worked. Next, Nyx went upstairs to the bathroom where the shower was. He shut the door behind him and even locked it. He set the water to the coldest setting just like he did back home up in the snowy mountains. While he was in the shower, he remembered the little part about 'don't break the glass'. As he was stepping out of the shower he created a small auditory illusion that made it seem like the glass had broken, loud enough for Sabrina to hear. He thought it'd be funny to have her panic over nothing and chuckled about it while he got dressed, taking his time.

Sabrina took out some plates, filling his with a bunch of fruits he had told her that he liked as well as an omelet with some cheese and bacon. She made her plate next, setting it to the side as she brewed some coffee for herself, definitely needing it to get her through this already tiring day. As she was setting out some utensils for the two, she heard the sound of glass shattering above. Her heart sinking she quickly ran up the stairs, "Nyx!" She yelled, banging on the bathroom door. Her heart pounded as she waited, hearing him turn the lock she pushed through, only to see the shower in perfect condition. She froze for a moment, before looking to him. A playful smirk on his lips as he looked down to her, holding back a chuckle. "You are an ass" she said, remembering another ability of his from the book, illusions. she sighed, turning and heading downstairs, "Foods ready" she said, rubbing her face before taking a seat at the bar top. "You are going to give me a heart attack you know" she said to him before taking a bite of her omelet. She took her phone from her pocket, scrolling through some social media. Catching up on news, class assignments, anything that would come up on her newsfeed. She could feel Nyx's eyes watching the strange device, in which she showed him. Apps, phone, even the camera in which he appeared on the screen. "Now, I have class this week, which you will be alone for the day. Please, just be normal. I can't come running to find you" she began to explain. "If you go out, just remember you are not a King. You are a person. No one has to listen to you, things aren't free" she added.

"Yes?" Nyx unlocked the door, letting Sabrina inside. Nothing was wrong, everything was in perfect condition. He couldn't help but smile, doing his absolute best to hold back his laughter. He had to let it out at the insult, "I take that as a compliment, you know." Nyxeris followed behind Sabrina as she headed downstairs. Nyx sat beside her, poking the omlet a little before deciding to eat it. Saving the best for last. He took the fruit off his plate and ate it with his hands like a heathen. This was just because he could. Yes, they did have forks and knives in his story but fruits were wild in his story so eating them on the spot was what he usually did. He also was usually outside for long periods of time and just took whatever he could for food. Refined and a heathen, that's what he was. It was a bit weird, but hey.. only Sabrina has to deal with his chaoticness. He watched her scroll through various topics on her phone, curious about what everything was. "I look hot." He joked. He had seen his relfection in mirrors before, his own world and hers, but hadn't seen what he looked like as a human yet. "Class? What for?" Nyx looked at her with another confused expression. "I am normal, what do you mean?" He shook his head. "I am a King. I suppose I'll pretend but we all know I am. Things are free if you just take them." Nyx stole things frequently, in this world it had been clear today. In his own book he often stole from the Seelie Court, never his own. It was common for him, and only a few times had he been caught. Always by Annalise. She said she had read the book, did she not expect this?

Sabrina shook her head, "I forgot that you take insults as compliments" she said with a sigh, finishing her omelet and now picking at a few of the berries. She looked over, watching as Nyx stuffed his face with the multicolored fruits. She had much to teach him. She chuckled as he gently took her phone, complimenting himself as he looked at his human form, clicking the button a few times to take photos. The wonder in his eyes seemed to shine like bright lights, it was like the blind was seeing for the first time. "I am in college as an Art major. I have English and then my art studies tomorrow. We learn about the history of things, how to use grammar, a bunch." She explained, pushing her plate away before leaning against the granite top. "Most of the classes are boring, useless but I must take them to get my degree" she added. Sabrina's mind was elsewhere, trying to figure out where to start to look for the answers to how he was here. What if he was stuck forever? The page was destroyed so he couldn't go back to that time, what about a different section? She had no clue. For now she would just teach him how to be human, although where to start? She began to explain as much as she could. How she went to class, sold art for money, how people work, anything she could think of that would be different than his life. She also had to explain that because he was a King at home, he could not act like it. Soon she stood up and began to clean up, answering the thousands of questions he shot at her.

"You humans have weird.. ways." Nyx huffed. All that information and he understood nothing of why they did it. Why did she need to go to 'class' if she could just find a better artist and get some tips to improve? Humans would never be something he understood, from the way Sabrina explained it. They were far to.. unstable of creatures. Although she explained all about how he couldn't be who he used to be, he gained nothing from it all. He saw it as stupid, why couldn't they just accept him for being a King? Have the rest of the world not nown about him? That's insane. He was known all across the Courts. "You seem like the type to leave, and lock the door behind you so I didn't leave." Nyx sighed. "Little do you know I can go through windows instead of doors." And, he had wings. Maybe not right now but as soon as he regained the amount of strength he had from before, he'd have wings. He really wished it wasn't the last part of him to come back, and hoped it wasn't gone forever while he was there. Nyxeris wasn't entirely sure if he wanted to leave. He kinda liked it here. Sure, the world was much duller compared to the vibrant fae Courts but it was still fun. It wasn't war-torn and splattered with blood like his own world was. So far, he hadn't met anyone that didn't like him. Except for that cafe worker and well.. we don't talk about that. Everyone likes him, no exceptions. Maybe Sabrina might be an exception. She did compliment him, after all. "What am I supposed to do when you're gone? Eat? Stare at the wall?" Nyx complained, without it sounding like a complaint. More like a statement and a tone of slight boredom. He wasn't gonna admit it, ever, but he would likely miss her while she was gone. She was the first person he met here, and taught him things. What else was he supposed to do if he couldn't create a bit of chaos?

Sabrina nodded as she washed the dishes, "It is weird, but it's how things are here." She said, setting the dishes to the side to dry. "Believe me, I'd give anything to hop into a book to a different world, but in reality I'm stuck here. I have made my life comfortable though, I like what I do and I am lucky to have it easy compared to others" she said as she dried her hands. "Yes I will lock the door because people here steal, I know you will just find a way out, clearly as you did this morning. But I cannot stop you, if you want to wander you can, just be smart"she added. "I live a simple life so there's not much to do. There's movies to watch and books to read. Sadly I don't have much else unless you like to paint." She said. She started to realize how boring life was in this world compared to what she had read in books, especially his. There was nothing to do here, everyone lived the same way everyday. There were no balls to dance at, swords to swing, magic to mess with. Nothing. That is why she loved books so much, she could read and transport herself in her mind, imagine the things she would do. "Now I have to finish my assignment, try to keep yourself occupied for a little, okay?" She asked of him, heading towards the stairs, she was not going to let him ruin her day to day tasks, especially ones that affected grades. When she got an agreement from him, she went upstairs to her room. Opening the windows she let the light in, slipping her earbuds in as she took a seat in the corner at her easel to finish her current work. How funny was it that her current assignment was to create and image of a world you would want to live in, and with that, Sabrina was painting a castle. Her main dream from even when she was a small child. She gathered her supplies, playing her music to zone out everything around her.

"I wouldn't dare ruin these clothes with colour." Nyx smiled. It was a little reminder that he never really wore colour. When was the last time he even wore blue? He was always trying to be stealthy, blend in to the darkness. Sometimes he wore white when he ventured into the Seelie Court but that still didn't really count as colour. "I'll do my best." That was all he could promise. It wasn't exactly an agreement but it was probably the closest you could get from him right now. He flopped down on the couch when she went upstairs. He hummed along to the music and learned the words to a few songs. He didn't exactly learn all the words but enough to pass for at least the chorus. He eventually got bored of that and wandered around the house. He avoided her room because it felt like she wouldn't enjoy the chaos he brought with him at the moment. He found a silver laptop just laying on a counter and took it back with him to the couch. He powered it up and logged in. He guessed at the password, and surprisingly got it correct... on the fourth try. He browsed what he could find on that computer and it was mainly boring things like art refrences but he did find a game. Nyxeris opened the game, starting playing and... lost track of time completely. He was quiet up until a few minutes ago, since he was only just learning how to play. He had become quite good for a newbie and was playing against some decent players at this point. He had a streak of wins. He was at this point yelling at his opponents and likely distrubing his host, Sabrina. His voice projected power and got his team to focus on winning the game but it also leaked through the music.

Sabrina was focused on the canvas before her, a palette in herone hand, brush in the other as she painted on the small details. Each streak of light against the glass, the grittiness of the stone's texture. That was her style, to get every little detail and make it look as if they were there in person. All was going well, she was humming to her music and getting her work done. The windows were open letting the warm air in, sunlight filling her room. It was calm, and this is what she loved most about her days. Time where she could seclude herself with art and the sun. It was not long until her peace was broken by the sounds of shouting. She tried to turn her music up and tone it out, but it got louder and louder. Sabrina sighed, setting down her brush and palette before she made her way downstairs. Standing at the foot of the stairs she looked over to Nyx, arms crossed as she watched him. "Must you yell?" She asked as his smile grew, winning the current round he was on. "I just wanted some quiet so I could focus" She said. He was having too much fun, not realizing she was there at first. When he did notice her, the goofy smile upon his lips killed some of the annoyance that had built in her. "This is so fun!" He said simply as he waited for the next round. Sabrina sighed, she couldn't be mad, she told him to entertain himself. Since focusing and working on her art was now out of the question, she went back upstairs, falling into her bed as she scrolled through her phone. Starting to research any answers to help their situation. There were stories written about characters coming to life, but it was just stories, no real articles. This was going to be fun.
