Star tackled him for fun before Em growled as it was time to head back to the pack " Now is the time to talk, Stardust. You promised" " I know, mother." She said as she trotted along side Mikael and Dove trying to keep up. Em saught out Hunter " Alpha. my eldest daughter would like to say a few words to the pack, if you dont mind" Stardust waited for everyone to arrive around the food thatw as brought while they were gone " I have promised my...Alpha.. that I would never reveal our home to my friends... the Lightseekers. I know it hurts me to do that to them. But I am loyal to the Darkseekers. I fully pledge that I will obey the rules and rites of this page for the life of everyone in this pack. I will do my duty to the best of my ability." she looked at everyone as she spoke, then her eyes landed on her true Alpha. Hunter. No fear sowing on her face. But one of trust. " I will still pay the conciquesces if I do anything wrong" |

Hunter nodded and walked towards her. "Thank you Star for affirming yourself to the Darkseekers. I know that leaving your friends is a hard task, but it is necessary if they are with the enemy. And as for consequences, most punishments will fall to your mother, Em, until you are older." He looked over to Em before turning back to Star. "Stardust, I see great things in you. If your mother Em is anything to go by, then I hold hope that you will become a great wolf for the Shadow Hearts." Everyone else chattered, surprised by Hunter's support of Star despite her originally having doubts about becoming a Darkseeker. "The Darkseekers are not all mean and cruel, like the name would suggest. Each one of us is different, and I hope that in time you too will stand out and represent the pack well." Hunter tilted his head upwards and howled in celebration, with everyone else joining in. |

Em and Dove howled in delight before filling their stomachs with the meal that was caught while they where gone on their walk. Em was so proud of her daughter she could hold back a wide smile. " I am so proud of you, Star. What you said really came from your heart. Mikael and the reast will be holding onto that promise. " I know, Mother" Star said nuzzling her and Mikael. She knew her life would change for the better. |

(Time skip to the first snowfall of the winter) The days were getting colder, and that meant that the Shadow Hearts had to hunt for food, as prey would become more scarce during the winter months. Luckily, they were able to do just that, and as winter drew near, Hunter felt confident in the food that the Hearts buried away for later. But with winter, comes snow. Mikael woke up and looked outside of the den that he, Em, Dove and Star were sleeping in, all four sleeping together to preserve body heat. Much to his surprise, instead of the barren trees and dead grass being what greeted him, instead a white blanket of snow was there, covering everything around the Hearts' home. Must've snowed last night. Mikael walked out and stepping into the snow, with it only coming up his leg a little bit. It wasn't enough to impede movement, but it was enough snow to remind everyone that winter was here. Clay walked out of his den and was surprised by the snowfall. "When did this happen?" He asked, looking around. "Must've been the late hours, when everyone was asleep." Clay nodded to the idea and went back in as Mikael returned to his den to see Star, Dove and Em, all peacefully sleeping together. Mikael carefully walked around to Em and began licking her to wake her up. "Em... Em..... wake up. Guess what? It snowed last night." Mikael whispered. |

" What did you- say, baby?" Em said groggily as she slowly woke up from Mikael's nuzzles " I want to sleep in more, please." Em went back to sleep, cuddled around both her daughters. But when they finally woke up three hours later, Dove was the first one to see the white stuff on the ground " daddy... what is that what stuff?" she asked putting her paw on it. it felt cold to her so , she put her paw back in the den and looked at her father " Is it even safe?" " Its safe, my dear" Em said after she was told about the snow " its just snow, Dove. You and your sister can go and play in it, but be carefull" Star was so happy that the sun was gone and that the cold had settled in. " Father... wont it be harder to hunt now that it's winter?" she asked as she stepped unto the snow. She jumped at the coldness but then began to get used to it. hey dove come here." Dove looked up and chuckled, jumping into the snow, following her older sister, making a path in the snow. Em chuckled as she stepped outside before looking at Mikael " they really didnt expect snow, now did they?" she chuckled pawing his head. and pinned him down. " Now you cant possibly pin me in snow like this. I never trained you how to fight in snow" |

Mikael watched Dove follow Star as she made a path in the snow for her to follow, before looking up at Em. "Snow doesn't mean anything Em." He countered and pinned Em. "Why don't you and I go for a walk together? We've spent a lot of time helping the pack and bonding with our daughters, and as much as I like to play and bond with Star and Dove, we haven't had much time for just us. What do you say love?" Mikael said, hopping off of her and play bowing to her. |

" I would be honored to, my dear" Em said as she was pinned to the soft snow. Then she felt a weak spot in his grip and got up, nipping his shoulder in the process. " You lead the way, Mikael. Anywhere you wanna go" She let Hunter know before they headed out " Make sure the girls dont run off" Then headed out beside Mikael. |

Mikael wanted to walk her over to a particular place, a special place where Mikael knew that he was in love with Em, and that was where he wanted to take her. Thankfully for him the snow made it harder to recognize where she was going, and when they finally made it and he sat down, Em was still confused as to where she was. "Well my love, this is the spot where you trained me to raise my endurance and my fighting, but this is also the spot where I realized that I loved you and wanted to be with you." He nuzzled her as he let the sentence hang in the air. |

" Really? I didnt even recognize it. " Em chuckled as she stood on the very hill she trained Mikael on. " How did you find this place in all the snow, babe?" she asked walking to the very top of the hill and sat down, swishing her tail back and forth across the snow, her ears facing forward, listening to every sound. " Since you brought me here, what do you wave planned for just us two?" |

"Well..." He tackled her and licked her face. "You wanted to wrestle me, so I figured I'd distract you before going for a pin." Em quickly escaped and they play bowed each other before starting the wrestling match. The snow made it slightly harder for both of them to get good footing, so the match was more even between the two. "I've gotten a lot better Em; you can't beat me so easily anymore..." He said, tail waving excitedly as they scrapped. And he was getting better: despite Em nearly pinning him, he was able to escape and reverse it on her. Soon though, Mikael had Em pinned down with both of his paws. "I win." He said, licking the snow off of Em's face before flopping in the snow himself. He laughed as Em got back up and looked at him, shaking her head at his playfulness. |
