Gus continued laughing half-heartedly at the left wing's date decision. After a long moment of silence, he looked at the kid in front of him again, hearing a slight sentence from him. His voice seemed familiar as well. That was strange to Gus, he usually remembered most people he met, and he most definitely knew he hadn't talked to this nerd before. - Another player jabbed him in the ribs from behind. He turned his body to him, raising an eyebrow. "What?" "Who are you taking out after the game?" The goalie asked, smirking. "I know a couple of girls that would die to go out with you, man." Gus shrugged hesitantly. "I don't know. I might not go out with a girl this year." His voice was strained while he tried to keep quiet.

He continued to sketch various flowrs. Next of his list was a string of tiger lillies, he'd color them in later, along with the rest of the sketches. . The Hockey players behind him where talking, he payed little attention to their rambling about dates for after the game. 'I hope they shower before hand'he thought to himself. Who would want to go on a date with a stinky jock right after a game. . He wrapped his link of lillies around the morning glorys on his wrist in sharpie. They turned out nice. Apollow often drew on himself out of boredom. In fact, it was rare to have his arms be free of ink.

The left-wing looked almost disgusted at Gus's idea of not going out afterward. Gus shook his head, running a hand over his short, dark hair. Soon enough he would be able to grow it out like he wanted, but during the season it got in his eyes. He pulled his phone out again, eyeing the time and checking for any notifications. As he checked his messages, there was nothing new. Typical. - He placed his phone face down on the desk again, looking at the boy in front of him. Gus readjusted himself to watch the kid draw on his wrist and the paper. Something about the way he drew the flowers was mesmerizing and beautiful. He continued to watch, waiting for the bell to ring once again.

Apollow was minutely aware of the boy behind him, watching him draw. He figured he wanted an autograph. Cocky of him, but it was typically the deal. He flipped over the page and began to sketch a new bouquet, roses and tulips, gerber daisies. Thorny vines were meticulously drawn wrapped around the handle up to hold the plastic around the flowers. Once he had it outlined he took a moment to open his phone. He replied to a few emails, and checked the time, before ruffling through his bag to find his colored pencils and markers. . He turned around for a split moment to look at the back board, typically it had the days assignment on it, but not this time. Instead, he caught brief eye contact with the jock behind him. Apollow quickly turned back forward and pulled down his hat.

Gus's eyes tracked the boy's movements as he flipped the page and drew more. He was becoming very intrigued with the skill in the art, something he could never master. He then watched as the kid turned around, meeting his eyes for a quick moment. Gus tried to look away before he was noticed, but by the time he did, the boy had already seen him. - Gus's heart raged with the embarrassment of getting caught staring at someone. His cheeks felt hot and he wished very intently that the class period would end. Only a couple of minutes left before he could leave and forget this ever happened. Maybe he just wouldn't show up to this class anymore for the rest of the year. Time felt like it was ticking by slower and slower as the bell got closer to ringing.

"Awh damnnit" Apollow mumbled under his breath. "Might asweel start and conversation" he scrambled to color in the flowers, quick, but precise strokes of the markers and pencils, and before very long at all it was done, he signed the side, a big cursive Z followed my a smaller printed 'im' he tore the page out of the book, and took off the part that had the holes in it. . He held the drawing in his hand as he turned around and let it fall onto the guy's desk. "You like it? You can keep it" he said, Apollow stayed facing backwards waiting for the Jocks response, he clearly wasn't taking well to catching the glimpse of eye contact.

Gus stared blankly at the boy in front of him for a long moment before composing himself. "Yeah, its pretty sweet. Thanks." He scrambled in his mind to come up with something else to say while he picked up the drawing, looking at it closer. The detail in the piece was extravagant. Finally, he asked, "What are you trying to do with your wrist?" Gus scolded himself in his head for the question. It sounded stupid when he said it out loud, but it was too late then. Now all he could do was wait and see the kid's reaction.

Apollow took q glance at his wrist, almost forgetting he drew on it. "Oh, that," he laughed a little "well, it looks cool, and I practice on myself" he showed his other arm, that was covered in a snaking vine of orchids, butterflies were drawn in a select few places. "See, this was me trying to draw orchids a day or two ago" the Jock wasn't overly rude, which was a surprise. He was actually kind of nice. He turned so he was facing behind him from the other direction, so he could better show his left arm. "I'm sorry, I dont believe I know your name" Edited at May 14, 2024 12:29 AM by -Sweet-Poison-

Gus's eyes traced the twisting vines and designs. He almost reached a hand out to trace the wings of a butterfly before stopping himself when he heard the boy's voice. "Oh, um, Gus." His voice was hesitant. Usually, everybody knew the names of the team members. Somehow, it seems to have eluded this boy. He looked up to see the boy staring back at him. "What's your name?" He asked cautiously, trying to sound like it wasn't important for him to know.

"OH. I havn't had to introduce myself in a while." He turned back to his right side and flashed a smile. "I'm Apollow, Apollow Zimri. Nice to meet you" he held out a hand. It was odd for someone to not know him, but it was possible. He should know the names of the Hockey team members, but he never payed much attention to them, so he passed it off as laziness and made a mental note to be better about it.
