Gus blinked in surprise, but took Apollow's hand very gently and lightly, trying not to die on the inside as he did. He smiled brightly, hoping his friend wouldn't see it as he blushed as well. "Okay, I shared, now you share again." He knew he couldn't keep the smile and almost giggle out of his voice, but he did his best to conceal it. He looked away from Apollow for a moment, trying to act very interested in the stars, which he was, but he was more interested in hearing what Apollow thought.

He thought as he felt the gentle grasp of Gus's hand in his. "Well, now I've began to think about my next recording." Gus's hand was warm, and Apollow liked the feeling of knowing he was there, and he could tell if he fell asleep. "And now I'm thinking about" he paused, did he really want to share that thought? " now I'm thinking of how I'll know if you doze off, because your grip will loosen," His hands were probably a bit cold, Gus's hands were warm though, so it balanced.

Gus nodded, laughing. "Ill have to sit up then or something, cause Ill fall asleep quite quickly laying here on the ground." He looked back over at Apollow for a moment, adjusting his grasp so he didn't accidentally crush Apollow's hand in his own. "Hmm. Alright, my turn." Again, he thought for a bit, letting the silence fill the space between them. Many things were racing around in his head now that Gus was holding Apollow's hand, but he dismissed most of them. "Im thinking about how I never would have thought I would end up in a field in the middle of the night with someone I met today."

"It is quite interesting how that turned out isn't it" he thought, "I wouldn't have expected it either. But a lot of things have happened that I haven't expected today." He recapped the night, "yeah no, this wasn not on my list of expected events" he looked down at their hands and caught himself blushing, "but it's not a bad turn out. I like it"

Gus laughed again, covering his face with an arm as he lay on his back again. Maybe if Apollow couldn't see his face, he wouldn't know how deeply he was blushing. His blush could probably be visible against his darker skin if they were in a lighter area, but he was still worried. "No, you're right. Its not a bad turnout at all. Its nice. Now its your turn again. What are you thinking?"

He laughed at Gus's insistence that he keep sharing "Nuh-uh, you agreed with my thought last time, now you get to share one you thought of that I havnt said yet." He looked over when he felt Gus's hand shift and laughed even more at the guy as his arm was across his face. Apollow also shifted back to on his back, as Gus did, he stared at the stars and asked himself in what universe this was a normal occurrence, and how he could get there.

Gus grumbled, feeling Apollow shift onto his back beside him. "I don't know. I guess Im just thinking about how to not fall asleep accidentally. Im real tired right now, man." He laughed, turning his head and moving his arm a bit to look over at Apollow. "And Im thinking about how this is crazy and I might already be asleep and dreaming this, which would be great," he admitted quietly, almost to himself. Never had he met someone who cared for him so much, especially only after a day.

He laughed a little, "we can head back to my place and I can tidy up my room, I'll take the couch." He looked over at Gus, "well, you aren't dreaming that's for sure. I guess it's a bit crazy," Apollow yawned and smiled to himself as he glanced at their intertwined hands. "Maybe more than a bit crazy." He sat up, making sure to keep ahold of Gus's hand as he did.

Gus's eyes snapped over to Apollow. "No way am I making you take the couch in your own apartment. Thats not happening at all." After Apollow sat up, Gus pulled himself along with him, taking the blanket as well. "Thats just not happening at all. I would never have you take the couch." He shook his head, standing up and pulling Apollow along with him. "You sure you're awake enough to drive?"

He laughed at Gus's response, "I'm awake enough I promise." Apollow was dragged up along with Gus, hands still together, "Well, I'm not having you sleep on that God awful couch, you're a guest." He was happy that Gus hadn't let go of his hand. He liked it, holding hands, it made him happy. "So, knowing that. What's the solution?" He began walking towards the car, looking out for firefly patches in the grass.
