Alanna was blushing as she walked back to her house.

" Mom, pops? Where you two at?" Alanna said releasing her hand from Miko as Jake headed into the house and up to the bedroom.

Her parents came out of the kitchen " Hi dear. Whos your friend?" her mother said eyeing Miko

He smiled and held his hand out "Mikola Jones ma'am" he said to her. "I was the doctor who helped with Jake" he said and looked over at Alanna.

Her mother shook her hand before letting go. " Is that so, Alanna? Well it seems to me you found the right doc to help that dog after all. And a possible family member"

" Now now mother, dont get so harsh with him.. It was an urgent need and I did as you told me. And we kinda hit it off after that. Even Jake seems to like him." she then paused " Hey, mom whould it be ok if he stays for dinner?"

" Of course dear" she said as she walked back into the kitchen

She looked over at Miko " Shall we?" she asked slowly walking away from her mother and towards the stairs. A mysterious smile on her face. " I need some alone time , but alone time with you before all these questions pop up"

She raced up the stairs and into her room laying on her bed, looking up at her starry ceiling " You coming or what, slowpoke?" I thought vampires where speedy she thought with a little laugh.

He smiled at her parents before following her up the stair "I am speedy I just don't use my speed" he told her as he walked over to her. He looked up at the ceiling "those look cool" he said to her before looking back down at her.

" Tell me you dont read mines, Miko" Alanna said as he got very close to her " not that I care if you go throught my diary in my head" his eyes were looking at her why is he looking ta me like that.. its different her heart raced faster.

"I only read current thoughts when I want to" he said to her and climbed in bed beside her. He looked up at the ceiling again "I'm sorry if I scare you at times because of what I am" he said with a sigh.

" Scare me? you dont scare me one bit, Miko" she chuckled looking to her right " You can try, but nothing will work. And theres nothing I would hide from you anyways" she reached for his hand and took it.

He looked over at her and smiled he held her hand with one of his hand and with the other he placed it on her cheek and kissed her head. "I'm glad that your not" he said to her with a smile.

relax Alanna She thought as she closed her eyes and leaned her head on his shoulder, then Jake whined and wanted in. " No Jake... leave us alone for a while longer, please" she mumbled

He held her close keeping his hand on her cheek as he softly rubbed her cheek. He smiled as he laid there with her.
