Gus shrunk back a bit when Apollow started laughing but relaxed when he realized he wasn't being made fun of or teased. "Yeah, I guess it is," he smiled, wishing he had said that earlier instead of lying through his teeth. He watched as Apollow bent down to pet the cat before placing a hand on Gus's shoulder. The touch was comforting, but still short, which he appreciated. As he followed his white-haired friend out, his thoughts drew him to the conclusion that Apollow doesn't judge. At least, not yet. Gus still planned on never sharing anything more about his home life than his little siblings, who were hardly home anymore anyways.

Apollow made his way to the living room, "well, this is the living room." He gestured so an open room with two small couches and a TV, the walls were still litters in sketches and drawings "oh, here are those flowers I mentioned" he walked over to the left side wall and pointed to a paper that was eye height for him. "And just down that hall is the kitchen, feel free to make yourself at home, im going to go cook, you can relax here, or join me." He thought for a second, Gus was bound to be tired from the game " there is a table in the kitchen so you can sit in there if you want to follow. I'm sure your tired from the game"

Gus smiled at seeing the drawing, though he had to look down at it at an angle to see it properly. "It's lovely," he sighed, studying it carefully. He looked back over at Apollow while the boy spoke to him. Gus feared that if he were to be seated alone, especially on the couch, he would fall asleep too quickly. "I think I'd fall asleep if I didn't follow," he admitted to Apollow, following him into the kitchen to sit at the table. His eyes were trained on Apollow, following every movement he made while he cooked the pasta.

Apollow went through the steps of making pasta, it was routine for him, he'd been cooking since he was 7 after all. He seasoned the chicken and threw the sauce together in a pan. Apollow decided on an Alfredo sauce with the classic thick noodles and some chicken. Once it was done he looked over to see Gus watching, he felt his face turn red for a moment. " what would you like to drink? I have coke, sprite, lemonade, and apple juice" he asked as he poured himself a glass of apple juice.

Gus thought he caught a glimpse of Apollow's cheeks turning red, but figured it was his tired mind playing tricks on him. "I think I'm alright for now, thank you," he smiled, watching the apple juice fall carefully into the cup. He clasped his hands together on the table, trying to keep from fidgeting too much, despite how he let his right knee bounce quickly. Being here still made him slightly nervous, though he wasn't sure of the exact reason why. "How long have you been cooking for? It smells amazing."

"If your sure, my offer stands for all night" he plated the chicken and pasta and walked it over to Gus. "Pretty much my whole life, I started actually cooking meals when I was seven" he set the plate down infront of Gus and put a fork next to it. "Thanks, I hope it tastes as good as it smells" he set his own plate down across from Gus at the table, and sat in the corresponding chair, sipping his apple juice. "This is off topic, but, tell me about yourself, I've got essentially a stranger in my house right now" he laughed, "I'd love to know more"

Gus smiled when Apollow placed the plate of food in front of him. It looked so good, but he wasn't going to be the person to eat first at someone else's house. He listened carefully to his new friend's question and then thought for a long moment, avoiding eye contact. He studied the kitchen and the table, trying to find anything interesting to look at. "I don't know what you want to know about me. Like, I'm not a murderer, and I have a family, but what else do you want to know?" Apollow already knew a lot more about him than most people Gus talked to.

Apollow saw Gus's wandering eyes, and tried to make eye contact. "Well, I know you like hockey, and I know your favorite color, and an issue you struggle with." He paused to take a bite of his food. " what else, favorite food?" He thought a bit more while he ate. " I'm not sure, your backstory?" He lacked a conversation starter, so he would simply suffice with asking random questions until he struck gold with something. He sipped on his apple juice and watched Gus, waiting for a reply.

After noticing Apollow starting to eat, Gus took a bit, relishing in the flavor and heat of the needed food. He finished chewing before answering, "My favorite food is probably fish. Specifically," he explained, "trout. And backstory? Pretty average." Gus paused, taking another bite and letting the silence linger before he sighed. "I guess you could say it was a bit strange, but I never go into much detail about it. I grew up with a younger sister and a younger brother, who are my favorite people in the world." He smiled, thinking about his siblings.

Apollow continued on with random questions. "Trout? I like salmon a lot." He smiled seeing how happy he was when he thought of his siblings. "So, you're a family guy then?" He finished off his serving and set his utensil down on the plate, " if you don't mind me asking of course, why don't you go into detail?" He asked politely, Apollow was curious, but didn't want to seem very pushy, instead he began to fifget with the hem of his shirt.
