okay chat im sorry for continuing on with my questions about applying dyes but I want to have clarity on the customization before applying a dye
Do you just apply a random coat of any color then go to the wolves 'use item' menu and apply dye?
or
Do you apply the pelt of the dye in the customization and it will use the dye that way?

Jasmine/Hellhound/Female/Healer/Seeker/ Bond: Eva /M: Onyx,Sorren,Lily(Ref),Kavik, Calamity

Jasmine stretched as she woke up from a nap. She decided to check on a few of the seekers. Jasmine trotted over to Onyx and asked “How are you feeling?” She looked over at Sorren because she was technically asking them both. She spotted Calamity another hellhound she the looked around before turning her attention back to Sorren and Onyx. Jasmine thought I need to check on the others. Once she got the okay from them both Jasmine said “If you need anything you know where to find me.” She trotted toward Calamity and Kavik. She said “Hi are you two feeling alright or are you hurt at all?” She heard a roar and it scared her to were she yowled. She turned to shoot a glare at Lily. Lily was a bonded poison dragon but Jasmine didn’t have the best history with dragons. She shook out her pelt before going to smooth it again. As she did her attention went back to the two and she mumbled “Young dragons..” She continued to wait for an answer from the two as she wasn’t sure if they were going to answer. She did catch Calamity starting to hold back a laugh. Jasmine tried to ignore it but was having trouble doing so.

Luminis || Female || Hypnotic Dragon || Snapped Raider || 56 Years || Human: Mac || M: Asteria (Ref), Eidrune (Ref), Leha (Ref), Emyrs (Ref), Mac (Ref)

Gold eyes sprinkled with indigo flecks sat upon a mighty head – scanning the area with great interest. No warmth was held in these bold orbs, just malicious curiosity and amusement. A lust for control and bloodshed danced among this malice, creating a deadly fusion that all were bound to fear. A cheshire grin lines her maw, coated with vicious teeth outside her own mouth. Nightmarish and grizzly the teeth were – designed for nothing but violence. Curled horns shape her face, fading from black to silver-white. Her star-painted wings slay across the rock formation which provided the camp some shade. Her purple-black body sits in an elegant posture on her rock “throne,” akin to a queen of the highest standing watching the pheasants scurry about below. A light bioluminescent glow emanates from her neck, wings, and horns – being mostly blue in color, but turning more gold the lighter in color the horns became.

She was vicious. She was elegant. She was a violent, bloodlusting predator. At least, to those looking from the outside. In reality, this was… still somewhat true. The beastly dragon was filled with all of these emotions, but not to the extent or way that most believe.

She was curious about the two beasts chosen to be of the higher ranks – Asteria and Eidrune. She wanted to know all she could about them. Their strengths, their weaknesses, what makes them tick. However, she knew better than to push her luck. While she held little fear for the hellhound, she knew the beast would give her a run for her money. Her piercing eyes told her that much. She would never admit that she couldn’t stare into them. Eidrune, on the other hand, was the one she was most worried about. And the one who peaked her interest the most. He was a kelpie – only being who had a defense against her hypnosis. He was her one weakness of the group. She made sure to stay out of his way. For the most part. Though, she still held great respect for the two beasts. Or, more specifically, their strength. No harm would befall on them by her talons.

Leha and Emyrs were the founders of her amusement. They feared her. She could tell. And there’s no better emotion to sense than fear. Their body language and habits made their fear ever present. It was impossible not to mistake it. Their stench just made their feeling prominent to the more oblivious beasts around. Oh, I’m gonna have some fun messing with those two.

However, her desires were and are greatly exaggerated. Most assume that her wish for control stems from a lust for power. A wish to lead. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Luminis had no desire for power. No desire to lead. She wished to control the waking moment. The current situation. The outcome. Maybe even fate itself. Nothing more. Nothing less. The dragon’s desire for bloodshed was completely reserved for her own species. The destruction of the Djali Tribe was just collateral damage. Her main targets were in the Faolain Tribe territory. The area they were heading to now. And she had a brilliant plan to take them out.

There was just one problem. One teeny, tiny outlier in her seemingly flawless plan. Mac, her new bonded. The amazing weak little human that had happened to have chosen her. She had not planned on meeting him at the ceremony. Better yet, she hadn’t planned on getting bonded at all. But… something called to her. She couldn’t remember what it was. Her memory was foggy. The call was not to him, exactly. It was simply a call to bond. And bond she did. That call had given her a new meaning, a new plan, and a friend liability.

No matter. My plan will work out in the end. Just help the group get to Faolain woods and chase down the target. Maybe even persuade the group to hunt them as well, her smile widens, All that’s left… is to make sure I am the last thing they see.

Pygmy || Male || Amphithere || Seeker Member || 50 Years || Human: Jade || M: Jade, Cairo (Ref), Onyx (Ref), Jasmine (Ref), Tukaii (Ref), Kavik (Ref), Calamity (Ref), Lily (Ref)

The capri beast’s wings and head hang like sagged shoulders at his partner's response – feathery-frill lowered in slight despair. “Oh, okay,” he lifts his head to meet Jade’s hazel eyes, “I doubt there’s any around these parts, though. I’ll go out and look for a snack in the meantime. I’ll see you when I get back!”

The amphithere is quick to slither away – hunger driving him to search for food. However, it did not chase away… whatever common sense he had. I should ask someone to come with me. That way – if anything goes wrong – I won’t be alone! I’ll be able to befriend them as well! Now, who to ask?

Yellow eyes begin to scan the camp, taking particular interest in the beasts of the group. Cairo was a no. The dark unicorn was currently spending some time with his partner a bit far off from the main group. That and he was… unsure whether the beast would take kindly to the idea of being alone with him. Onyx, Jasmine, and Tukaii were also nos. They were too busy running the camp. Calamity was conversing with her bonded, Kavik. And finally, there was-

Yet another roar fills the camp's surroundings. Pygmy whirls towards the sound. Lily – the poison dragon of the group – was the beast who released the call. He was unsure as to why she did, but he decided not to question it too much.

Thoroughly surveying the camp once more, he makes his decision. He would ask Calamity to travel with him. It would be an easy request, one he knew he could do. The beast never understood why everyone else – minus Kavik – grew uncomfortable around the large hyena-like hellhound. She was simply someone who needed to be befriended, that was all.

Slithering his way over, he waits patiently for her to conclude her conversation – offering as simple “Over here!” to Jade at her call. Though, he made no move to travel back to her. His eyes flicker back and forth between the two in front of him – taking slight interest in the interaction – but makes no move to intervene. Jasmine soon joins the pair, leaving Pygmy to question his decisions. Maybe I should ask Lily instead.

Eva Treader || Faolain || Seekers Healer || M: Jasmine, Others

"Of all the roots I could have happened upon, it was you," the woman growled triumphantly, shaking a tightened fist full of yarrow flowers. The slender purple root buds rocked back and forth, sending clods of dirt spraying. Gray eyes gleamed with a smug satisfaction as she used her free hand to dust her shirt off. Yarrow, while not an exceptionally useful plant, had one defining medical characteristic: its purple root system could be used as a local anesthetic. With the journey ahead of them, and with so many beasts with claws, there were bound to be some cuts and bruises that would give people problems. The numbing agents in the plants she now held would come in very useful.

White strands of hair wafted into Eva's face as she stood from her kneeling position and began the short walk back to where the group was camped. She could hear the various roars, squawks, and chirrups of the beasts; it seemed that food had come around. The healer placed her newfound yarrow collection in a leather wrap before setting it alongside her other herbs and ointments. She would separate it all later; for now, she was curious as to where her beast had wandered off to.

It didn't take her long to find the brown-spotted hellhound. Jasmine was traveling the camp, stopping by each group or individual she passed. Eva supposed the beast was checking up on everyone before they headed out again. With a tired ghost of a smile, she made her way over to her bond. Eva would take advantage of the respite in travel and was determined to make sure Jasmine did the same. As she reached the dark hellhound, she placed a hand on Jasmine's hock and mused, "Don't wear yourself out too quickly, now."

Eidrune | Male | Kelpie | Snapped | Second | M: The Snapped (Ind), Shiva (Ind), Asteria (Dir), Victoria (Dir), Emrys (Ind), Leha (Ind), Luminis (Ind)

The wind blew through Eidrune's mane, causing it to flutter in the air. Closing his eyes, the kelpie welcomed the breeze. It was the only thing that helped keep the place cool, since there were no trees or cliffsides to offer shade. Besides, it was the thing that most reminded him of the darker places he called home. He was looking forward to finally leaving such a hot and dry climate, and he suspected that some members of the group felt the same way. When will we leave? He asked himself, The water supply has all but disappeared, and the group is too vulnerable here. Those that can fly would probably be fine, but the rest of us will be in a difficult situation if we're attacked. Eidrune looked around the camp. It would not be very hard to spot, especially since it was located in the plains. He had an uneasy feeling about it. Raiding villages would certainly bring attention to them, and there was always the chance that the tribes might retaliate. He was always up for a fight, but now he had the group and his Bond to protect.

Another gust of wind fanned the kelpie's restlessness, and he decided that he had rested long enough. Stretching out his forelegs, he pushed himself up with his hind legs and stood tall in the sunlight. A quick shake sufficed to loose the sand from his coat, revealing its wet texture. He thought about it for a bit, but finally decided to ask Asteria about moving. Surely she would share some of the same doubts he had. He wanted to ask both leaders directly, however he could only communicate with Victoria and the other beasts. He had no ability to speak with humans that were not his Bond. How then could he ask Asteria's Bond? Sure, he could always just ask Asteria, but he felt that if both were told, a decision could be reached quicker...and they needed to make one soon. He knew supplies were short, and the group might start fighting over them. Besides, there was that fear of being ambushed that he just couldn't shake off.

Musing about this, he caught sight of Victoria in the distance. Almost immediately his eyes shone with an idea: Victoria could ask Shiva. He was not able to converse with all other humans, but Victoria could. Perhaps she could help him notify the leaders. That is, if he asked her to do it. He and his Bond had not spoken often, and whatever they said, they normally kept it short.Well, I suppose I should get more used to speaking with her. Eidrune thought, After all, we are Bonded. Picking up his feet, he made his way over to the young human he had formed such a strong and strange connection with. Once he reached her, he stopped, flicking his tail to get rid of the flies that were biting his hind legs. For a few seconds, he was unsure of what to say, but finally he spoke. "Victoria, I need your help. Could you ask Shiva if the group can move on? Tell her we can go ahead and scout out the surroundings if needed." He looked uncertain, and was already turning when he remembered something. Looking back, he added softly, "Please."

With this being said, he trotted through the camp, leaving a small cloud of dust in his wake. The leader pair were usually located a bit farther than his position, so he had to travel a little further. After all, he was on the outskirts of the camp, since if there was any danger approaching, he would notice and warn the others. Plus, he wouldn't have to deal with the other members of the group. Speaking of the others, he was coming up on them now. He could see Emrys standing by Leha, his Bond, who like Shiva was watching the area beyond camp. He could also see the Hypnotic Dragon, Luminis, perched on top of a rock, surveying the place. He noticed that both Emrys and Leha were keeping their distance from her. From what he knew of Luminis, he could kind of understand this. He knew the dragon to be ruthless and bloodthirsty, without mercy or pity. He was glad he was immune to her control; if he didn't, he probably would've been more cautious around her. For now, he just had to worry about making sure she didn't cause damage to others in the group.

He checked the area, looking for Asteria. After a few minutes of searching, he found her resting on the ground. Eidrune slowed his pace as he approached her, making sure she wasn't just sleeping. He knew better than to wake a sleeping beast like this, especially one like Asteria. He couldn't defend himself easily against her shadow walking if she retaliated, which she probably would if he caught her by surprise. Thankfully, it seemed like she was awake. Standing a few feet away from her, the kelpie lowered his head. Speaking in a deep and hushed voice, he said, "Greetings, Asteria. I was just wondering if the group could get moving again soon. Supplies are dangerously low, and I doubt we will be able to stay here for long. If you need me to move up ahead and scout out the areas, I will do so. I feel that we need to get the group up and moving as soon as possible."

Lily/Posion dragon/Female/Seeker/Memeber/Human: Casper/M: Pygmy, Luminis(Ref), Casper(Ref)

Lily had yawned a big roar a few minutes ago but now she was sitting up looking around for something to do. She figured Casper was busy then she spotted Pygmy and walked over to him. She didn't know what to say other than "Hi." She is a bit anti-social so she can be awakward in a converstation. She looked around hoping she would spot Casper but decided it was better to leave him be due to the fact he might be sleeping.

She was hoping to go out and find some food to eat or something. She turned her attetion back to Pygmy after scanning the area. Her foot did ache a bit but she ignored it for lack of thought and also because they had been walking when she wanted to fly. She wonder what Pygmy was doing that is one reason why she came over here. Lily wasn’t the type for Interacting with others unless she liked or knew them.

Lily had been newly bonded with Casper at the bonding place but she hadn’t been looking for a bond she just happened to get one. She remembered seeing a hypnosis dragon at the ceremony which wasn’t good because they seem to be with the snapper group.

Asteria - Snapped Leader - Hellhound - Mentions: Shiva, Eidrune, Luminis, other Snapped

The sound of steps coming toward the Hellhound made her wolf-like head raise from her paws, turning her head and fixing her yellow stare onto the approaching Kelpie. Eidrune, the beast half of the Seconds. Apparent even from her position laying down, and was therefore a bit shorter at the moment, confidence was clear in her bearing, proud. Her eyes were on the dark horse the entire time he came near; his pace slowing as he got closer. Then stopping a few feet away from her, the large beast lowered his head.

"Greetings, Asteria. I was wondering if the group could get moving again soon. Supplies are dangerously low, and I doubt we will be able to stay here for long. If you need me to move up ahead and scout out areas, I will do so. I feel that we need to get the group up and moving as soon as possible."

Her ears twitched at his deep voice, sounding hushed. There was no immediate response from the female, as she was thinking about the Kelpie's words. Her yellow eyes never wavered from the form of the beast in front of her, though; her tail thumped on the ground once in an idle motion. Then, her mind made up, her powerful limbs pushed herself up into a sitting position; above Eidrune. She never was fond of others standing over her. For a moment, she didn't speak, opening her jaws in a yawn, lips peeling back to expose the lethal teeth in her maw, then those powerful jaws snapped shut.

"Yes, I have the same concerns as you do, and I agree. We need to move." A large black ear flipped back slightly, "Go ahead, Eidrune with your scouting. It would help us start moving again sooner."

Then, clearly dismissing him, she moved away, surveying the camp and the inhabitants. The sight of Luminis sitting atop a rock made her pause, and glance over at the irridescent purple-black beast. Not in an uneasy way, but in a casual manner, as if she were just getting a better look at the taller beast. Then she turned back to what she was doing, which was basically move in a wide circle around their camp, alternating watching the others and looking out beyond for anything. The hellhound didn't think they had anything to fear from the Hypnotic Dragon; it still was a good idea to keep an eye on her. And to keep an eye on everyone else, of course.

Leha Stephans || Female || Snapped Raider || 19 Years || Beast: Emrys || Faolain Tribe || M: Luminis, Emrys, Unknown Humans & Beasts (Ref), Eidrune (Ref), Victoria (Ref), Asteria (Ref), Mac (Ref)

The dark haired girl stared intently into the dragon's ever present gaze. The longer their eyes locked, the more those gold hues bore into her own purple ones. It grew harsher by the minute. No, by the second. It was constricting her, trapping her. Escape was no longer probable just like always. Hairs begin to stand. Body-shaking chills ran through every nerve in her body. Oh, how she knew that gaze. She had felt it a hundred times… and maybe she’d see a hundred more. The world began to shift. Taking the form of the place she despised most. The beasts and humans followed suit – mimicking those she fought to stray from. Gold-speckled indigo became ice-laced blue – a freezing gaze filled with nothing but hate and jealousy. Her breathing was nonexistent, but also erratic and hasty. She couldn’t decipher whether she was taking in too much air, or none at all. She was frozen, rigged like the sharpest icicle or stalagmite – fastened to the very ground she stood on.

No. No! Not again! I can’t be back there. No one has found us! They’re not here! They’re not here! They’re not-

“I miss the forests.”

A simple line. A simple but fantastic line. One that could break any illusion that her own mind could and would make. Leha sucks in a deep and violent feeling breath – oddly causing no sound with the sharp and desperate inhale. Purple orbs glance to her side, meeting those that mimicked her own. Emrys now stood where the wind once hounded, providing her some shelter from its wrath. The saddle which resided upon his back provided himself some shelter, but not much. While it helped (in a way) in this instance, she couldn’t help but feel sorry for putting such an article on him.

A simple nod was her only response before she once more observed the camp. Much had changed while she entered that horrifying state – not including Emrys’ movement. Eidrune – the Beast Second – had moved towards his new Bond, Victoria. Though, by the time her eyes glanced over them, the kelpie had already begun to leave the auburn haired girl and move towards the group's lead beast. Though, not before sparing the “troublemaker” a glance. She was no longer staring at her thankfully. Her gaze had – apparently – left hers some time ago. Luminis was now solely focused on her own bonded with a disgusted but somehow gentle expression. Not that she noticed. The girl was just too busy with… her own illusion and panic to perceive such a thing.

At the unicorn’s question, Leha completely focuses on him – not daring to look around the camp any longer. A growl from her stomach answers his question, causing the girl to blush and flip the hood of her cape up – a motion that was merely a graceful habit now. The unusual sensation of relief floods her veins from the simple action. She was safe now. No one would see her face. No one would see her eyes. Nothing could shake her. Nothing could move her, metaphorically. She had nothing to fear.

Leaning against her beast’s flank, she mindlessly twirls some of his oil-black locks. His opal-touched fur was smooth and soft to touch. The heat that washed off said fur provided some peace for her haunted mind, letting her know that someone understood her. That someone cared. Soon, she once more grew lost in her own world – which was filled with just an ounce more light than before.

Mac/Male/Snapped/Memeber/Bond: Luminis/ Mentions : Luminis, Leha(Ref)

Mac had just woken up and looked around when he spotted Luminis. He stood up and walked over to her hoping to at least spend some more time with her. He said “Hey.” While he was looking at her he sat down on the ground waiting for a response. As he looked around he had spotted people waking up but turned his attention back to Luminis. He said “Luminis…Do you have any plans besides the whole snapped group?” He notice a bit of of her gaze on another girl probably tormenting them. He ignored it and looked forward he had his attention on her tho. As Mac waited for a response he thought I wish some chaos could happen this place is boring a stuffy. He couldn’t quite pinpoint why he felt like there need to be Chaos but he has almost all of his life. He guessed it was to make things more interesting even the he is caring but that is when he hides his face. Mac didn’t understand everything in dragons but one thing he knew is that his bond is a hypnosis dragon which his mother always said to be careful around no matter if your bonded or not.

Kavik || Erren || Seeker Member || M: Calamity, Jasmine

"Oh, no need to worry about me," he said, pushing a lighthearted smile to the forefront of his features. The scar across his cheek tightened with the movement. Kavik ran a hand through his hair and added, "Just... reminiscing."

There was nothing his beloved bond would be able to do about his particular situation, anyways; little Savi was long gone. Not even the most powerful of beasts could bring back the dead. Kavik continued to pick little splinters out of his hands as he leaned up against Calamity's soft body. Clearing his throat, he mumbled, "I, uh, just got lost in thought. Again. Forgot I was whittling and went to far... so... I cut my hands up a bit."

Maximum carelessness. Potentially deadly for a person of his trade, but Kavik had not been working the irons or anything so drastic as to have put his life in danger. His hands would just be sore for a while, that was all. It wouldn't be the first time he'd sustained minor injuries in his life, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. He used his hands too much to save them from the occasional cut or bruise.

As he moved to show Calamity that his hands were not in iminent danger, Jasmine, another hellhound and the healer beast on the expedition, made an appearance. Kavik blinked at her sudden arrival and tilted his head at her question. "Actually, if you have a salve for cuts, I wouldn't mind some of that. I've sustained very minor injuries."
